Agree, sometimes it can be quite hard to find a relevant category. If I were to submit this article I would probably put it under Mods or software. - GhostyBoy, on 02/15/2008, -0/+97. never properly capitilize or spel....your coments.....put puntuation(in strange places), end with question marks and exlamation points?!?!?!?
8. CAPS-LOCK REALLY DRIVES THE POINT HOME!!!
9. Start comments with "I know this will get dugg down, but..." to protect yourself from being buried. - kiiwii, on 02/15/2008, -0/+81: Shovel
- brbeaird, on 02/15/2008, -0/+7Wow these are actually very cool. My two favorites:
Comment Tracker - http://garycarstensen.googlepages.com/comments7.ht ...
Shows how many digg ups/downs your comments have gotten
Digg This! Firefox button - https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/1477
Whenever you browse to a page, it shows you how many diggs a page has gotten - CasaWood, on 02/15/2008, -7/+14Kewl, I added one tool from the story already and will have to check out other goodies.
- inactive, on 02/15/2008, -0/+5What is the digg tool that stops giving me a SCRIPT ERROR???
- inactive, on 02/15/2008, -1/+6don't be a dick.
- GhostyBoy, on 02/15/2008, -0/+5Download an attitude adjustment. Also get the better sense of humor plug-in.
- lava, on 02/15/2008, -1/+6I use http://www.digg-whore.com all the time, because I'm totally insecure and I want to see if diggers who I'll never meet like my witty comments.
I should go outside sometime. - inactive, on 02/15/2008, -2/+7I looked for the best category to submit this, but could not find a better one.Under which category do you think I should put that?
- kamikaze87, on 02/15/2008, -0/+5You win sir.
- PleaseJustDie, on 02/15/2008, -2/+7One day digg will add a reply link...
- inactive, on 02/15/2008, -1/+5And these...
http://www.thegooglecache.com/digg-noise-filter.ph ...
http://www.thegooglecache.com/digg-entourage.php - Gabberwok, on 02/15/2008, -0/+4A lot of other sites have probably done this now too, but http://www.neaveru.com/digg is good if you want an easy way to see how people are responding to your comments. Just don't load too many (>1000) comments or the graph may get buggy.
You can create a bookmark to statistics for your last x comments by going to http://www.neaveru.com/digg/stats/user/x - sockpuppets, on 02/15/2008, -1/+5It's pretending to be a programming article, much like you're pretending to be a girl.
- doctorfungi, on 02/15/2008, -1/+5Been using "Digg This!" for Firefox for quite some time :)
- mattmcm, on 02/15/2008, -0/+4Where can I find the update? I've got 0.94 at the moment but it makes me come off as a complete tool. Thanks.
- jamdogg, on 02/15/2008, -0/+3Digg without idiotic comments...just feels wrong.
- Nougat, on 02/15/2008, -0/+3That appears to be gone, along with Digg Comment Stalker.
And the garycarstensen one is a little broken - it doesn't show replies anymore. comments8 there does, but doesn't let you load x previous comments (you get all of them).
http://digg.com/tech_news/No_More_Digg_Comment_Sta ...
try that - mikesbaker, on 02/15/2008, -0/+2#0 http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/11578 - I wouldn't use digg anymore with out this
- davidwasman, on 02/15/2008, -0/+2Sadly, one of the best tools is gone: http://digg.com/tech_news/Digg_Comment_Stalker_GON ...
- Gabberwok, on 02/15/2008, -0/+2sorry, that should have been www.neaveru.com/digg/stats/[user]/max_comments/[x] for the last x comments of user
- rstarr, on 02/15/2008, -0/+2http://digg-whore.com is a better comment tracker IMHO.
Although it appears to be down now. - TDot1980, on 02/15/2008, -0/+2THIS STORY IS POPULAR
- rolf, on 02/15/2008, -0/+2What is the fix so I don't go back and edit my initial posts? They're always double spaced the first time around. Maybe it's Firefox but I get this on Windows and Mac systems.
- nouse66, on 02/15/2008, -3/+5by "looked for the best", i assume you mean "closed my eyes and clicked randomly".
- inactive, on 02/16/2008, -0/+2duggornot
now known as zuubu is better for comment whoring - shauncorleone, on 02/15/2008, -0/+2Why are there no tools to filter out all stories and comments with the keywords 'Paul' and 'Ron' in them?
- lava, on 02/15/2008, -0/+2Funny, after writing that digg-whore went down. Maybe I should have kept that to myself.
- estacado, on 02/15/2008, -0/+2You can use Dimmented to track your Digg comments.
http://dimmented.com/ - Spoomeister, on 02/15/2008, -0/+2#4 is optional, technically, if you replace that with "text to speech engine, sound card and decent pair of headphones".
- nbcaffeine, on 02/15/2008, -0/+22 eyes, 2 hands, and a brain?
- pault107, on 02/29/2008, -0/+1Try http://www.zuubu.com
- leejarratt, on 07/21/2008, -0/+1i r nt a idi0t
- sassyt, on 02/21/2008, -0/+1a couple of nice ones there... on my list to try out!
- spyrochaete, on 02/15/2008, -0/+1I really like the Dugged extension for Firefox. It adds a Duggmirror link to every story.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/425 ... - leejarratt, on 07/21/2008, -0/+1If that was true, there would be no Digg.
- weiwuwei, on 02/15/2008, -0/+1My favorite is Diggwatcher http://garycarstensen.googlepages.com/diggwatcher. ...
- CharlesSaint, on 02/15/2008, -0/+1The new version of Firefox 3 Beta runs digg A LOT smoother. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html
- binorgog, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1Yes, I love this tool, but the replies issue has been months with no fix.
- Tohdman, on 02/15/2008, -1/+2All you have to do is join the liberal bandwagon.
- lava, on 02/15/2008, -0/+1I'm actually using digg-whore right now, so it's still there.
- psyonide, on 02/15/2008, -0/+1Here's my favorite Digg-enhancing Greasemonkey script.
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/3307
It's called Shut Up and Digg, and it's a blessing when I feel like getting just the news without having to be bothered by the increasingly idiotic comments that infest Digg. - xxgigavirusxx, on 02/15/2008, -0/+1Um yeah...
