- saleem, on 10/15/2007, -0/+12a decent article but why is everything typed in light grey... makes it 'ergonomically' hard to read.
- steelclash84, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10I like how they talk about monitors and eye-strain, and then proceed to have this article with a white background with very light gray text. Why is this article being dugg?
- ftblguy, on 10/10/2007, -5/+12Meh, a few good tips. Although, I would add "Going wireless with all peripherals: It costs a little more, but the freedom it gives you to adjust your seating throughout the day, which is a big help toward eliminating back pain." Just ask LaMont Jordan. Too soon?
- LongShlong, on 10/15/2007, -1/+7Kudos. Seriously... This article should be deleted. The herd needs a way of thinning out.
- sexybobo, on 10/15/2007, -0/+5I really would like to slap the crap out of who ever started doing light gray on white it is hard to read and annoying.
- wayne247, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Wow! That was incredibly lame. Position your monitor at a comfortable distance? Buy a comfortable chair? Pick a desk that is appropriate?!?!?! NO *****! Thanks for the great advices! A+++ Would deal again!
- BritishGolgo13, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6Cutting big checks seems to be the least of your worries...stop wasting company time laming on Digg.
- Meatetarian, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4This article was overly-simplistic. The meatiest tip they had was that your keyboard should be at a height such that your forearms are parallel to your thighs. That's extremely basic stuff.
There's a ton of great ergonomic advice out there, but this just wasn't it. - Joshuarr, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4And remember to stretch. *****.
- mikehill33, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4what is the guideline for removing your head from your ass? We all know this is a frequent ergonomic challenge.
- nsfw1, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3This article used 11 resources to make a top 10 list.
please stop digging top 10 lists. - nsfw1, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Also just saw the title is the "Ultimate Guide to Workstation Ergonomics"
What a load of crap - scoreboard27, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5This might all sound pretty basic to the non-retard workplace citizens, but as an employer who has to cut a big check every month to cover the costs of every "neck ache", "migraine", etc., some of the simple thoughts in this guide could go a long way in saving me some cold, hard caysh. Any measure of employee education, no matter how trivial, is meaningful.
- erlkonig, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3The title of this article is a joke, given that the content is vague, fails to mention even the height of the monitor, the existence of specifically ergonomic mice and keyboards (like the Matron, although ugly, and the Kinesis, which is quite attractive), the possibility of reclined seating (try officeorganix.com), or any number of other things. This was a lame article taking advantage of Digger's fondness for lists of 10 and the word Ultimate, and whose only real value is the list underneath of what -other- websites have to say on the issue. That trailing list is the only thing saving the page from being Buried.
- edithsan, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Great tips!!
- umstbkddng, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Uh, how about: "To prevent eyestrain, stop visiting websites that use light grey text on a white background"?
- BOFH2, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2for eye comfort do not code your website in light grey text and bright white background

- hisXenocide, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1switch to dvorak!
- Error601, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1The one that seems to get people all the time is hovering their fingers over the mouse and keyboard buttons; more often the mouse. The usual symptom is an aching in the back of the hand. Just let them rest on the buttons and get a new mouse/keyboard if they're too sensitive to do that.
- trollick, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Ultimate my ass
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1u know what the funniest thing is... i dugg this article... digg used to make it easier to undigg directly from the same page and then bury :/
- joeywaters, on 07/10/2009, -0/+0There's always the active seating options. The first video gives a good run through of them. http://www.fitter1.com/Catalog/Items/SIT.aspx
- deknmike, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I had to go check the date on the article. It's so 90s! The ultimate workstation would have a fridge under the desk and a port-a-potty built into the chair so I'd never have to get up.
- hjomats, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Try http://www.wellbeingstore.com for ergo products. It has a planner to help make the system work for you.
- mgoldshteyn, on 10/16/2007, -0/+0Nice ergonomics article in difficult to read gray type on a white background!
- hjomats, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0it is actually http://www.thewellbeingstore.com
- LongShlong, on 10/10/2007, -5/+4Do we really need a guide telling us how to not "sit around like an idiot?"
... This should be called "The Ultimate Guide to not being a Moron." - inactive, on 10/15/2007, -17/+15"Center your monitor in front of you at a comfortable distance, and adjust the brightness settings so that it’s easy on your eyes."
No ***** really? All this time my monitor was to the far left of where I sat and it also burned my eyes for some reason. Wow thanks article!
About every sentance in that article is either incredibly obvious and simple at best bordering on common sense... Fat Albert has better advice than this article.
