- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5How about Relieved Roger:
Relieved Roger is the guy (me) who frequents Digg.com, feeling it's his daily 'guilty pleasure'. Roger is sure that he's the biggest geek of his entire circle of friends. Roger is relieved after discovering how not a geek he really is after reading an artile linked to Digg.com that lists Characatures of types of programmers. Relieved Roger finds this article so completely uninteresting and pointless that he is 'relieved' after coming to the realization that he's nowhere near the lever of geek that he thought he was by comparison. - masterfuol, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"Young Yasmin" is the only female of the 26, which pretty much mirrors reality..
- FlyingAvatar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1> Hilarious. NOT.

methinks teece fits one of the negative stereotypes - MioTheGreat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Any cache of it?
- rm999, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2haha that c++ one is total flamebait
- Ryosen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Great, I saw myself in so many places that I'm now pretty sure I've got multiple personality disorder.
- fornulf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0+Digg for all the bad flashbacks.
- SpringDog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Maybe it's just me, but the list seems to stop after 'N'. Anyone else have this problem?
- shakezilla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0+Digg for so accurately capturing so many programmer behaviors. One or more of these applies to everyone I've ever worked with.
- ShadowBlitz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The best ever. I fit into like 5 of those. Mostly Zealot Zack.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Me? Unintelligible Uri along with all the other lousy ones.
- SaintStryfe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow. Programmers must suck to work with more then teachers.
- digitaldivider, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You know, even me, hating programming with all my might can't help but smile at this. Aside from the minor programming hints, a lot of these personalities can fit into almost any IT subset, such as mine: networking.
long story short: you get digg from me. - felchdonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Funny, but I was hoping for picture caricatures. Anyone want to draw some illustrations to go with the article?
- dholbrough, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0A caricature doesn't need to be a drawing or pictures:
caricature, imitation, impersonation
a representation of a person that is exaggerated for comic effect
from http://www.wordreference.com/definition/caricature - erichapkido, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow, I actually fit my name. Essential Eric.
- traderces, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Not really.
- nicoperk2, on 02/27/2008, -0/+0We could say that a caricature is a ludicrously inadequate or inaccurate imitation.
ex : he is a caricature of a statesman
from : http://dictionary.reverso.net/english-definitions/ ... - unton, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah, right! Where's "Mr. Java Bean" in this classification?
- woolston, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i think i classified everyone i have ever worked with.
- whisperedlie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I definitely fit into about 3 or 4 of those. Digg++
- bmw@, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"And hates them all."
Except Quiet Quincy. - jones233, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1What about....?
Java Buck McNealy
Basks in his love of JSP 1.2, JSTL 1.0, Java Servlets 2.3, Java Beans...ad infinitum. Get's hard every time he thinks of Scott McNealy's buck teeth. He like to imaginine his app is not wrapped in 5000 pairs of pampers each time one line of his code executes.
Prefers to spend wwwWAY too much time writing cutesey profiles on programmer foibles rather than writing any decent (non-java) code. When was the last time any "Great Application" was written in Java? (ans: never) He will also never realize that his is perhaps the most obnoxious idiosyncracy of all. Thank God php is rapidly driving this type of [programmer/wannabe writer] out of the collective gene pool.
One consolation is that he will never build any "real" rt shaders. - Izanagi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0lol
- Trinil, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow, has met them all. And hates them all.
- bmw@, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"that c++ one is total flamebait"
He's a Java guy. Poke around the site. - rickvg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0predilection perhaps?
- jayf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've seen at least 1/2 of these characters but thought I was just unlucky.
Now I wanna work at home on my own. - lunarship, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I love that.
That said, I don't really fit any of them. I think I must have become a manager... - eastshores, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0yea.. I didn't care for this.. as many of the traits .. are not bad, and when exageratted in this manner, they still aren't funny. Ah well.. maybe I'm Hubert Cumberdale o.O
- teece, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Hilarious. NOT.
We need a 27th category for the vain author of that drivel.
