i posted that further down the page but i didnt figure anyone would see it so i duped the link up here. - Moocat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Here's the script.aculo.us site: http://script.aculo.us/
and here's the effects page: http://wiki.script.aculo.us/scriptaculous/show/VisualEffects
There's two types of effects, Core and Combination with many different things you can do with them. There's also a user submitted effects page that people have come up with. Good stuff, but the library is HUGE, so you'll probably want to cut out what you're not using unless your page is massively "pretty". - tweibley, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Site isn't down, just slow. Here's a mirror until it comes back up:

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This really is more like a "dummies guide to ..." than a real cheat sheet. In fact, some of the pdfs while visually appealing are more like quick start guides.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4That's nice, but it's not really a cheatsheet. True cheatsheets need basic and advanced examples of all functions listed. This thing is so basic as to be nearly useless.
No digg. - ahoyhere, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Link's back up! Static HTML for now; download link redirects to CORAL cache. Thanks for your patience, guys.

Sorry my server's groaning under the load, guys. I clearly need to talk reconfiguration with my sysadmin. - pedershk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2no, not the same. script.aculo.us is an extension based on prototype (i.e. it requires prototype to work).
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Dugg for the first sentence: "During my talk at Canada on Rails I mentioned that I was working on a Scriptaculous cheat sheet, at the behest of none other than Thomas Fuchs himself."
HAHAHAHA!!! - JohnnySoftware, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hey, this is neat! Amy Hoy rocks!! Not only does this have great information on it but the way it is presented is very attractive and I would say Amy has gotten the tao of creating "cheat sheet" artwork down to a science!!
I hope she makes some more cheat sheets for other developer technologies. - persaltier, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3if you're looking for something along the lines of moo.fx / script.aculo.us but more powerful and easier manipulation of the DOM with less code, check out http://www.jquery.com
- 413x, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Also interesting regarding this is the visual representation of the jQuery library:
http://jquery.com/blog/2006/04/23/jquery-visual-map/ - zakharm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2the pdf is different

http://astore.amazon.com/chefs.choice.knife-20 - jessecrouch, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3quite honestly this thing isn't all that interesting.. i mean.. i understand it's just a cheat sheet, but really.. who really prints these things out?
- clokwise, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Can you actually read THAT??
- madrobby, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nicely done indeed. Now for more behesting. :)
- KCorax, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1few cheat sheets are that badly written.
no dig. - monkeycrack, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Bookmark link and come back later. Sigh.
- rolandog, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Thanks for the mirror. Great cheat sheet.
- neoiceman, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Maybe somebody could put a mirror to this PDF somewhere? That might merit a Digg from me
- jon1012, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I agree with that... It is nowhere near the prototype cheatsheet that can be found here:
http://www.snook.ca/archives/000531.php - ronin9, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2I wonder, is it the same as this? -> http://www.snook.ca/archives/prototype1280-thumb.png
If so it's old news. If not, I apologize for providing an old yet still useful resource. - xilihwala, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0that is cool
- bede, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2Same here. It sounds like it will be very useful and dugg for that reason. I'll try again tomorrow once the digg effect has died down.
- ahoyhere, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1Why assume something is the a repeat without any evidence, or even a similar name?
- mjar81, on 10/12/2007, -14/+671 diggs. No comments. Site down.
- jwmartin, on 10/12/2007, -8/+0Finally got the site to load, but can't get the PDF to download.
- therernospoons, on 10/12/2007, -10/+1Site down. No digg.
- kimos, on 10/12/2007, -12/+1But people are still digging...
*sigh* - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -12/+174 diggs. 1 comment. Not even a coral cached version.
- fujofly, on 10/12/2007, -14/+1Scriptaculous, more like craptaculous...no digg.
- m00nmaster, on 10/12/2007, -18/+0Not down. Veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery slow...
