- shiftt, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9This article has the right idea. It's silly to build an entire site platform purely on AJAX-like navigation. AJAX should be an enhancement, not a replacement. Most of the sites out there have the right idea, but there's a few that take it too far.
And no matter how beautiful your layout may be, the only thing that will always be the most important is content. - echeese, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7Shaun brings up a couple of good points. You should never depend of JS for content, and make sure your site can still function without JS.
- 7of7, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3Who knew Uncle Ben was a fan of Web 2.0.
- echeese, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2I thought he died :|

- camellights, on 10/12/2007, -10/+4wtf is this crap article? Marked as LAME.
- headzoo, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3I agree... the article was all fluff. As if the writer couldn't think of anything to write about, so he pulled an article out his ass that is full of nothing.
- StephnDolenc, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3sounds like a line from spiderman. great points are raised in this article. i don't think this is lame camellights

Where?
- sillywampa, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7this article raised some valid points about using AJAX. don't just use it everywhere on your site just to show how web 2.0 you are. Use it in the right places but still use traditional methods when content is important. He points out 2 sites he thinks are falling into this trap and his litmus test is a good idea. If a newbie who reads this article decides to follow some of its suggestions, then it's served a purpose.
- freddiemiles, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2I love how standards gurus always bring up screenreaders. Are we really saying that web-based software has to be completely web standards and section 508 compliant?
- Fett101, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8If you're coding a government site or at an institution that receives government funding, heck yeah.
- Fanon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Same 'ol crap that's been discussed since Ajax became a mainstream technique.
- kodeiko, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0'bout time someone talk about it once and for all.
- usidoesit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Hold on a minute, I haven't even had a chance to use Ajax irresponsibly yet.
- gking2224, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have. I feel so dirty :-(
This article (and others like it) have opened up my eyes to the error of my ways.
- gking2224, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have. I feel so dirty :-(
- ssstevemac, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I somewhat agree with,It is more than evil thinking make your site on AJAX-like navigation and never depend on JS for content coz content is the base not the layout.
