Some people like witty jokes, some people like bathroom humor. The fact is this guy got his own show because people thought he was funny rnough to deserve one.

I'm sure I've heard him being interviewed on a talk radio show. It was one of those really obsequious ones where the host guffawed through the whole thing as though he'd been paid per laugh.
