- marbant, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2many designshack featurettes originate from http://screenspire.com
- smhill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think I am going to make a site that showcases CSS showcase sites. There are tons of them, and they all pretty much have the same sites listed.
- tryferos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0patrickwebber, you are right, and there is a definite need for a more refined search to minimize repeats. Without that, there is a high probability there will be repeated posts of stories.
That being said, you are far from the "dupe!" whiners that frequent digg...
Props to you - eyesx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Also see

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm the IT manager/web designer for a realty company and I'm about to enter another phase of design and re-work our corporate site. Coming out of a cycle of maintaining workstations for the last 2-3 weeks and getting back into design mode/inspiration is tough. I like sites like this because I can look through and get a few 'oooh' and 'ahhh' moments and get my brain going again. +1 for the person who posted this.
- patrickweber, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm loving how the user added the index.php onto the end of his url so digg wouldn't go "AHH ITS ALREADY BEEN SUBMITTED"..
I don't like to call out dupes but when I submitted this quite awhile ago it seems unfair:
http://digg.com/design/DesignShack
And yeah, great site. I digg mine. - skyblu2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0before this was promoted to the home page, all the views were around 20, now at 1200!
- smash, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Eh, I dunno. a lot of those look cool from the screen shots but then kinda suck when you actually go to them,
- heinous, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Personally, I don't think these designs were very inspirational. The artdorks site featured has two scroll bars in the middle of the page! ugggggg-ly! also, these sites seem to be pretty graphic intensive... there are still a LOT of people on 56k modems and resolutions less than 800x600, folks... take it easy with the huge graphics.
- cavicster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have always liked this site especially when I have designer's block. There are many like this one but they never get old to me.
- jon_k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"I'm loving how the user added the index.php onto the end of his url so digg wouldn't go "AHH ITS ALREADY BEEN SUBMITTED".."
No. Actually I found this site myself and happened upon it and browsed the site. I decided it was worthy for digg and clicked the home logo on the website. Guess where the "DesingShack" logo takes you when you click on it? /index.php - and I just copied the address from my address bar over to digg.
Never knew the story was a dupe. I guess it's all in the timing if it gets to the homepage or not. This is my first homepage story out of many submissions. - droppyale, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0For a great resource check www.cssbeauty.com and stylegala.
- jellzey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0no digg, it is obviously not updated very often, check out vanilla soap design site... it doesn't even work, and it on the sites homepage.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Its all in the eye of the beholder guys.
- digg - gwdigg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@patrickweber: It just goes to show how a desriptive title and good description can go a long way.
- rodoula, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0jellzey, it's been updated very often, i subscribe to the RSS feed and there's new additions every day. some of the sites i don't like, but then many of them i don't see in other CSS galleries. check out http://gallerize.veracon.net/ for a comprehensive list of css gallery sites and their latest entries.
- mojaam, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0More CSS goodness. I was already enjoying a bunch of websites like this (CSS Beauty) it wouldn't hurt to add another CSS Design Showcase website to my bookmarks.
- pcgeek101, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0"And yeah, great site. I digg mine."
If people have to digg your story and not someone else's to keep you happy, then ... you are a sad, sad person. I didn't realize that your story being dugg was a life or death situation, but I guess some people just don't have anything better to do w/ their time ... - tryferos, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0To all those who complain/dupe!/and just out and out whine...go elsewhere.
CSS is a very important thing to learn, to help rid the web of crappy webpages. Does a handful of CSS related Digg items really hurt anything? Of course not.
Wipe your tears, change your diaper and go drink your bottle. Some of us use the web as a reference and sharing of information, not a community of crying babies who get upset when this website isnt what they want it to be. - HuRyde, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1OMG another CSS site, WOW. So cool! No digg. It's getting old people.

WOW, some people actually like this stuff! heh.. Try shutting your mouth next time to avoid embarassment, deal? :) - kyle133, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0have a look at this...
