- londubh, on 12/17/2008, -0/+20Old Programmer: "Don't be too proud of this technological terror you've constructed. The ability to zombify thousands of computer is insignificant next to the power of FORTRAN."
Script Kiddie: "Don't try to frighten us with your programmer's ways, old man. Your sad devotion to that ancient computer language has not helped you conjure up the stolen data tapes, or given you clairvoyance enough to find the Spammer's hidden serv...**gack**
Old Programmer: "I find your lack of faith disturbing." - peacefrog249, on 12/16/2008, -0/+14Good, but no Fortran?
...not sure which religion that would be analogous to. Maybe Zoroastarianism- predecessor to the other monotheistic religions. - sfrench, on 12/17/2008, -0/+9and if you program in assembly... you *are* god.
- Apocryphax64, on 12/17/2008, -0/+9C# was done perfectly.
- dilpil1, on 12/16/2008, -0/+9Indeed. Old religion with strange customs that inexplicably pop up in other languages which claim to have no relation to it.

- sbader, on 12/17/2008, -0/+3That's hillarious, and I'm a mormon I guess.
- codeyman, on 12/17/2008, -0/+3I am having an identity crisis.. I work with atleast 3 languages mentioned everyday on a regular basis.
- Mainframeguy, on 12/18/2008, -0/+3Many languages not present- but of those I would have liked to see PASCAL - I believe if you did a wiki search on this you'd find programming languages outnumber religions (no idea what that signifies though). You have no entry for Zoroastrians it springs to mind though....
- bradallen, on 12/20/2008, -0/+2HOOM programming language = Church of the SubGenius

- gemjeweled, on 01/09/2009, -0/+1Interesting article. What I liked about it is that it presents a good comparison between programming languages and religions.
