MOV: missing data (mdat) chunk! Maybe broken file...

and, although xine tries, the video appears corrupt, and tonnes of error messages ([mpeg4 @ 0xb6686998]header damaged, etc), are dumped.
has anyone else been experiencing problems? maybe my videos are corrupt .. in which case, could anyone post an md5? i tried emailing cringely =) ..
