- jaxshores, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"Now this is complete BS because they stole the Trogdor name from The Brothers Chaps, see here: http://www.homestarrunner.com/trogdor.html"
Duh! It's not stealing, programmers love HomestarRunner. I'm sure TBC would be thrilled to know google used their character to code name a project. - leachim_6, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1cool
but PURE speculation
hope it happens
but just to back up my skeptisicm two words GOOGLE CALANDER
that is all.... - th3dougler, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2LOL DOBULE PSOT!11!11 UR SO n00bB111
wait...
this will be cool, fortunately, if they become a free host, the only ads on the page would probably googletext ads - trogdoor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Dugg for the name.
- rhizome, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2the webinator
- modian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Webinating the countryside!
- acariquara, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yep, but will it come IN THE NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHTTTT?
dugg for the name to begin with. - mayorofgeektown, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well it seems it could be highly possible... I did some random URL entering
and a bogus URL such as frank.google.com gives a 404 whereas web.google.com does a redirect to google.com, this is what happened when talk.google.com and base.google.com where active but invalid permissions. ? - Josephtech, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think a web weditor would be great, however google is throwing out so many things "TOO" fast. Before making new products they should make the ones they have better.
- duffield, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I enjoy this AJAX XHTML translator: http://www.squarefree.com/htmledit/
It's definitely not for newbies, but it's great for testing snippets. - PRAT, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Why cant you guys link to the acutal article instead of your blog?
- MoeB, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0wow! they stole the name from homestarrunner! this is going no where. creativity is dead in google.
- randal2k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i can imagine that this will be good since google has show that incorporating there other products in to one isn't above or beyond what they can do. I for one am very interested in this, if the incorporate, blogger, rss news feeds and so forth, with gmail... well, i might just get to stop paying for my domain... wait, if i could point my domain to the site... if i could have multiple sites hooked to one... well, lets just see what google is thinking... i bet it will be an awesome dark fiber addition!
- Nothlit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Burninating the countryside! Burninating all the peasants!
- neoblue, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Another little project from Google. They just have too many developers.
- RickySan65, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It is rumoured that Google is cloning an army of gubernators, news at 11
I mean come on, where is the rumour coming from, seems to me that the 'rumour' is just being used to push your boat to sea, no digg! - Zerocool.956, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I wonder what the story is behind the reasoning of naming the project trogdor after the popular burnination dragon.
- Schug, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0And the Trogdor comes in the NIIIIIIIIIIGHT!!!!
- LJWhorfin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Isn't Trogdor a dragon.. uh a mean a man... um a mean a Dragon Man!!
- snarkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0where's my cottage?
But seriously, yawn. - estvir, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0if it can be setup to be 'live' with a database & php, i'll use it, otherwise i'll stick to my various coding programs.
- salmonmoose, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0wasn't web.domain.com meant to replace 'www' not long ago? due to "double u, double u, double u" being clumsy to say? I know i've seen a few sites that support this.
trogdor.google.com doesn't go anywhere :) - Linuxrocks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0GO TROGDOR WOOT
- SamboGT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hmmm... I highly doubt this is true because naming their product after a cartoon dinosaur from homestarrunner.com is just strange.
I do love Homestarrunner.com, though. I think I could be classified as obsessed with it. - Dietrich, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0BURNINATING THE GEOCITIES WITH THEIR THATCH ROOF COTTAGES!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yet another Google Rumor...
- adamcrown, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Does it come with a beefy arm and majesty?

- zelurxunil, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0figures that was what I had just started writing some framework code for today.
i think theres a huge market for an ajax wsiwyg editor.
no sense in competing with them now i suppose. - silvercold88, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0lol more google crap is on its way, like we dont already have enough
- Psykus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0""Now this is complete BS because they stole the Trogdor name from The Brothers Chaps"
Nobody ever said that was going to be the final name. I'm sure they could use "Britney Spears-Trogdor-Sonic the Hedgehog" for a codename if they wanted to, and no one would care, as long as they don't use it for the final product name. - scottt106, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Man, this app is gunna burninate.
- bigbird, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0BURNINATING TEH COUNTRY SIDE!!!!!111(one)exclamation point!!!!1

- kderby2000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Can we all stop posting sh!t about Google until there's actual 'proof' that something's coming?
Everytime they fart now, someone's got to write about it in their "c00l bl0g". - bchang, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Burninating the country side burninating the people TROGDOR TROGDOR

- evilspoons, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Digg simply for the name. The idea itself seems pretty cool too, haha...
- spling, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Disregard my earlier post. I didn't realize that this was 18 hours ago as opposed to the other being 15. Looks like someone duped off you :) Regardless, that still puts you at +0 points in my book, so there's still no digg from me.. but at least you didnt score a -6 :D

* Be Descriptive: Your description was copied straight from the blog post. -1 Point - kilps, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0If this happens Google will have to make it very different than Geocities etc. otherwise it will just be another cheap web site service, but otherwise cool idea ...
I would also think that it would need some cool features such as forums (extention on groups anyone?) before it went mainstream ... - EmileVictor, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0suprabulge mathematical

- spling, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0And, since this is a dupe of a story which was posted on 15 hours ago, I will make this as a dupe, and nodigg.. I might check out the original submission though..
