oh yea, you'll need these http://www.microsoft.com/express/
I learned about this a few weeks ago....- diggimator, on 03/19/2008, -1/+4URL fix: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/beginner/default. ...
If you press the edit button after first submitting the comment, you need to re-paste any long URLs because Digg's JavaScript eats them. This I am sure is a bug Digg engineers are working 24/7 to fix as soon as possible. *cough* *wink* *nudge*

Carthago delenda est!.- bclinton, on 03/19/2008, -71/+3Speak english Osama....
Oh ya, no one really cares that you have no time to go to College.- screwattackthis, on 03/19/2008, -4/+35Yes, all non-english speakers are terrorists.
- bclinton, on 03/19/2008, -36/+4Well maybe not full fledged but definately a potential....
- Aitese, on 03/19/2008, -1/+38You do know Osama attended some of the top schools in the world right?
- pezholio, on 03/19/2008, -5/+51And the number one reason why America is the most hated country in the world is...
People like you.
Congratulations.- bclinton, on 03/19/2008, -24/+5I always thought they hated us because all of their citizens were trying to get in our country. Without people they have no country. You know....kind of like that....
- fkr3, on 03/19/2008, -1/+10The only people really trying to get into the USA are the ones from desperately poor third world nations. The developed world couldn't care less.
- bclinton, on 03/19/2008, -24/+5I always thought they hated us because all of their citizens were trying to get in our country. Without people they have no country. You know....kind of like that....
- WaltDismal, on 03/19/2008, -4/+17Someone not recognizing the Latin phrase 'Carthago delenda est' means that the American school system doesn't do a good job. Sad and unfortunate. Jules' use was apt, too.
- KixEvilCereal, on 03/19/2008, -0/+1Speak Latin, redneck.
Furthermore, your statement should read:
"Speak English, Osama. Oh yeah, no one really cares that you have no time to go to college."
This, however, is still grammatically incorrect, but at least you wouldn't contradict yourself quite so horrendously.
- screwattackthis, on 03/19/2008, -4/+35Yes, all non-english speakers are terrorists.
- minorthreat, on 03/19/2008, -3/+12why? because you spend all your time surfing digg and other pointless and mindless websites?

- LGod, on 03/19/2008, -0/+1There are hundreds of books, tutorials, demonstrations, and power points that you can find all over the interwebs if you need help with beginning concepts.
- TheShad0w, on 03/19/2008, -0/+1I'd have to agree a lot of these topics are meant for at least senior level CS majors and professionals. But as LGod said you can easily find resources online to bring you up to speed.

- minorthreat, on 03/19/2008, -0/+16Almost all Computer Science professor's across the US put their curriculum online for anyone to view. I can still go to my former University's website, find my professor, go to his homepage and view all the coursework. MIT is another big college with all their coursework online. I would suggest viewing this or any CS course work you can find if you really want to learn something
- edwinarif, on 03/19/2008, -1/+2Yes, unless google provide real online tutors, its basically the same as other information sites.
- Gabberwok, on 03/19/2008, -0/+2MIT's on-line course materials are available at http://ocw.mit.edu btw, in case you're curious. That and a lot of other free lecture material is available through "iTunes U" as well. Some schools keep their stuff password protected, but there's a lot of free stuff out there as well. MIT is by far the most generous with free quality course materials though.

- brownr21, on 03/19/2008, -10/+2Python, C++, Java... All useless old languages. Grats on promoting crap, google.
- joeanon, on 03/19/2008, -0/+3Python is old? It's from 91 ! Get a clue. Programming is about learning many languages, not ONE REALLY KEWL language.
C is old too and it's probably still the most used language out there and the highest performing. New just means slower and easier for idiots to code. C and C++ are the standard in game development.
Java is the most taught language in the world and probably 2nd most popular.
When learning a language you should think of employability.. what languages are most popular or on the rise, not what languages are newest.
useless though... that's a joke. You named some of the most popular and useful languages on Earth and called them old and useless.
Are you always an idiot or just a google hater ?- fkr3, on 03/19/2008, -0/+2I'm pretty sure C# and .NET overtook Java a year or two back.
- TheShad0w, on 03/19/2008, -0/+1C# and .NET are a MS only solution. Not really helpful if you're running in a pure *nix environment. Don't get me wrong C# is a powerful language but it isn't the OMG-Super-Kewls Answer to everything. As I mentioned above and as joeanon said. Being a CS major/professional is about finding the right tool for the job. Be it Perl, PHP, Python, C, C++, C#, Java, Assembly, et al.
- brownr21, on 03/21/2008, -0/+1Um... 1991 is old. Powerful doesn't mean useful. You don't need to learn a million languages, pick the best one and stick with it. And if you said Java, C++, or Python... lol@you.
- fkr3, on 03/19/2008, -0/+2I'm pretty sure C# and .NET overtook Java a year or two back.

- Singularitarian, on 03/19/2008, -0/+2If ONLY the Feynman lectures on physics had been videotaped...
The model of learning where people go sit in lecture halls and hear words that were carefully prepared but then lost forever is obsolete. At the very least, videotape your lectures so your students can watch them again later if they get confused. If you aren't an excellent lecturer (and most are not), then for the sake of your students use videos of someone who IS an excellent lecturer. - dackerman, on 03/19/2008, -2/+2i'd go gay for google
