- Tonydev, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8It looks like this still doesn't support Google Docs, which really disappoints me. I realize they didn't initially develop it (writely) but it be awesome to have access to that - especially with application like BaseCamp.
- grogan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7If someone is able to integrate MS Office with Google Apps via this API, it would make for a killer app.

I agree, opeing up writley could only bring about a world with less need for MS office. - Rice, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7I can't wait to see what will become of this. APIs are always exciting... in a geeky, extensive, sort of way. And since it's Google, it's slightly more awesome.
- thomas41546, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Google is doing it right by giving it free of charge to schools.
- Phegan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yahoo APIs are already amazing, I wonder if Google can hold a candle to them. We will see.
- dbr_onix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1There's C++ client libraries [ http://code.google.com/apis/apps/libraries_and_samples.html ], but assuming it's well documented (I'd be surprised if it wasn't) you could write the stuff yourself, I'd guess..
- davidshq, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Agree with Rice, APIs are always exciting. The mashups are oftentimes better than the original application. For example, Google Maps is an excellent application, but there are many mashups that are just as great.
- redwallhp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1BOOO!! I use Google Apps and I noticed that the "single sign-on service" is part of the "premium" deal. EVERYONE wants their users to be able to sign-on on their site without having to head off to a google page in the middle of nowhere. If they want people to use the API they should make that particular feature available for free.
- pfares, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It will be probably the end of the desktop as we know it today. I think in less than 10 years our (client side computers) will be only a diskless graphic terminal linked to the hight bandwidth Internet.
- CGreen, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Still no support for c or c++ :(
- fatdog789, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3It's only awesome because it has the Google name on it. Without that, you quickly realize that Google CrApps pales in comparison to *every other* online office suite. Hell, it doesn't even compare with the quick-fix offline suites, like Works.
- ImAllAboutGolf, on 10/12/2007, -9/+0Check out http://www.ImAllAbout.com It appears to be using Google Apps with over 120 ImAllAbout.com domain names such as ImAllAboutGolf.com
