- Suspected, on 10/12/2007, -2/+27I actually noticed the "Track FedEx package" feature when I recieved a tracking number for an item I purchased. It was really nice that from G-mail, I just needed to do one click to track my item; I didn't even need to write in my tracking number.
As far as this "Get Price" feature is concerned, I'm not sure how it will work out. When I see it in my G-mail, I'll tell you if I found it useful. - brandizzle, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17When I saw just the title I thought that meant that Gmail itself would be getting prices...as in, prices for different levels of service. I was concerned. Though I kind of like the idea of Google telling me how much products cost.
- NinjaBoy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16Yeah, I LOVE that feature too. I think googles advertising method is the best. The ads are always small and on the right. When im searching for a product thats always the first place i look. It sure beats the hell out of pop ups.
- rik83, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15You are free to not open that link..
btw, i think it's a good feature 'cause will be very useful ;) - daggerhart, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13@tiabin
most often you have something good to say. but please stop sig-spamming in every post.
its lame. - mathwizxp, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Or you could just type it into Google. That's been a feature for a while now.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Good, now I know I really am getting the lowest price possible on those penis enlargement pills
- haochi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8You can do a UPS tracking by sending "1Z9999W99999999999" to yourself.
- alexcount, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7it's kind of funny, you all agree with what he has to say about unobtrusive advertisements, but when it comes to the sig...
- ByteGuerilla, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8Indeed. I agree with your comment, Tiabin, but I modded you down for putting that link in there.
- OrangeTide, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5instead of mailing it to yourself mail it to totaltrack@ups.com and then you get tracking info AND updates. that's even better. and it doesn't require google to hold your hand.
- Chompy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I have no problem with this. As usual, Google does ads right. I mean, they've made billions of dollars, they're *huge*.. how much more proof does everyone else in the internet still scabbling for the scraps from Google's table using popups/popunders/etc. need?
- shawnz, on 10/12/2007, -14/+17What?! That means Google reads my emails!
here it comes again. - PiGuy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Wow.. An entire article on dynamically generating a link to froogle because Google sees a dollar sign in your email. Yawn. The much cooler feature is when it auto-detects a date and gives you a link to Google Calendar to add that date and description to your calendar. It also saves tha data so if you leave the email and come back to it later, clicking on the link it remains tied in with a calendar entry.
- FlamingWombat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Yeah, I was pretty scared there till I read the description
- jonthegamer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2yeh because if u go to help you can request more addresses in gmail for domain
- CubiX, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Same here. It sounded like they were gonna start charging for stuff.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2yes-just go to "ADD CONTENT" and search "google calendar"-there are 2 of them-theres a "Google Calendar" and one called "GCAL"-either one gets the job done...great little widgets
- Kazenodeku, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Wait, 25 hosted? I assume you mean for "Gmail for domains" ?
That's odd, I get 100 hosted on mine free. ...maybe because when I signed up, I asked for 100? - dvdd127, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I have yet to see the product price thingy... but I have seen the track this package feature.
- brewer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1a little off topic, but is there a google calendar thingy you can put on your personalized home page?
("thingy" is the technical term) - codethis, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2my gmail detects usps and fedex already - cool
- linuxrebel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1My first thought was about what kind of adds would be run when I get pr0n e-mail with the monthly rate priced in. Dating sites could really spawn some "racey" adds too.
- brewer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thanks. Is this new? I have searched before and did not see a widget for Google Calendar, just other 3-rd party calendars...
- yafo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0neat, but not a huge leap from their current functionality. i just like that w google desktop i can tap control twice, type in a math string (incl limited functions) and hit enter and google will evaluate it with unit conversions faster than i can find my calculator.
- adamcrown, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1My hosted Gmail says I can have "Up to 25 users for free." Which seems to imply that may start charging for different levels of hosted Gmail.
- lagnut, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Hope froggle finds cheper OEM software then what it is in my spam
- JJP0223, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Just tryed that and it worked. Very cool.
- brandizzle, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3If I wanted to read your blog I would ask you for the link. But since I haven't asked you I'd say it's safe to assume I don't want to. So don't post the ***** link. Especially in a comment that makes no sense.
- arunforce, on 10/12/2007, -8/+4What's the big deal in posting your website in your post?
It's not spamming, and it's not a big deal. - orlandogeek, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0sar·casm - A cutting, often ironic remark. ( I think both of them were being sarcastic, imo)
- elbazo, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Lol, I agree. Mod up all!
- fullfilth, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2I like this features, guessing what info that we need to know or keep. Dont forget about add to calendar features. What next? Maybe "Note this".
http://fullfilth.be - G-RaZoR, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1How do you do that?
- Tiabin, on 10/12/2007, -23/+15You know, it's kind of funny... People are always asking why so many of us put a lot of faith into Google, and seem to support Google despite the controversy it's recently had over: the chinese engine, and whatever else has been eating at people lately. I can't actually think of all of the stuff I've heard recently. But the fact is, Google's innovations are always so right on and USEFUL. Their innovations arn't simply geared towards them finding a way to make a buck, but also towards providing information more easily to its users. Being able to compare prices on the fly, or track my fedex package immediately I might not always *need*, but anything that might save me a little time and digging around, I appreciate.

http://www.neurointerests.com/ - BloodJunkie, on 10/12/2007, -20/+5But I don't want to consume products or services when I'm reading and writing email :(
