- jinexile, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Let me first to coin this PAJAMA-X PHP Asynchronous Javascript And MySQL and XML
- elmuerte, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Crap. This is just PHP and JavaScript. No XML (what the 'X' in AJAX stands for) in this article.
This article is nothing more than Buzzword Surfing. - Dispersion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Anyone who really wants to learn PHP or any language/application will buy a book. There are 7.243^10 web tutorials out there, they don't need to be put on digg.
- f00xx0riz3r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i'd rather call it PHP/AJAX + MYSQL Remote Root. This PAM-ReRo.
I use paaamhreereroooo! - triton, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1New Title - "Create a MySQL connection with PHP then call PHP script with AJAX methods"
Ok its a little too long but it does abbreviate the article better.
- nomadicalloy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1not a good article
- mediaburn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What ever happened to sendAndLoad? Can some one post something about why i should choose AJAX over flash.
- senzafine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i didn't mean to criticize this article btw...it's good. just not sure it's front page worthy :)
- samwyse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Is it just me, or is there still a lot missing from this article? I forsee one big problems: someone could fashion a web-page that POSTs arbitrary SQL to your MySQL engine.
- fridge2k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0AJAXIMIFIED!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Stupid AJAX everything!
It's "AJAXIFIED", we get it, move on! - randylovin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Terrible article. No digg.
- freakystyley, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I dugg it 'cause it's a great tutorial on AJA. Yes, I said AJA :P.
- buckaroo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Where's the beef?"
- MattPF, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Here is some serious MySQL/PHP/AJAX in action:
http://www.farleyfamily.net/school/project/client/
Start filling out the form, then watch the auto-suggests from the backend DB. Click them to auto-fill the form and watch the google map change to the address. - smhill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This ***** is getting lamer and lamer.
It is spam, and lame spam at that. - boolean4, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Poor article. The example code is broken because the PHP file he references is a 404 missing and his javascript code mixes up variables. Plus he doesn't properly construct the XMLHttpRequest object in IE so the information isn't even technically correct.
Auto digging because of keywords is just stupid. - mr.tech, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Its a pritty bad not to mention simple article, I bet half the people who dugg this dident even click on the link.
- senzafine, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1An ajax implementation that doesn't talk to a database on the request is kinda pointless, no? Isn't that the point of ajax?
- CorpT, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1AJAX? Auto-digg.
- maverick999, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Or just write a javascript loop that opens thousands of connections to your database, thus hogging all resources on the server...
