- perks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4The two windows are suppose to represent the fact that the people are in two different places yet are able to communicate with voice, pictures, videos, etc. More symbolic than just one standard browser window.
- codemeister, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2if its not working just wait for it to load, coolest thing i have seen in a while though (y)
- scairborn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1amazing. Extremely creative and original. It gives a whole new dimension to the browsing experience. I would love to see this used in new exciting ways.
- lazrus18, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1this is cool. I've tried it on three different pcs and it works great
- celtboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1whats the point? It's different. It makes you think...in a good way. A website these days that makes you think ... in a good way ... gets my vote. Awesome idea!
- Icefreez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Unique, but I still did not like it. I had to disable extensions in Firefox, and ultimately open it in IE. From a compatibility standpoint this site sucks.
- Sirak, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I thought that was cool :D Imagine being the poor guys who had to sync the animation with the browser movements and stuff...
I wonder if it'll work in Opera/Mozilla? I guess I'll try it when I get home from work :p - jamesburton1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1whats the point in popups when the same could be achieved in flash in a standard window! Interesting though!
- link470, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1the programming skill involved in splitting the windows and making the windows talk to each other
- Mr.PotatoTed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1an amazing and creative first that, once repeated, is sure to get annoying really fast.
i'm trying to remember if i was amazed at the first pop up ad back in the day.... f-it.. they blow. - link470, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1now days it would be a plus for working in IE :P
- topcat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1gets diggs for creativity
- wingo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"Sorry - I just hate pages that depend on popups and javascript window-resizing"
me too, but this was at least nice to view! - BlueLaser, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Pretty amazing stuff from a web development perspective. I don't think I've ever seen someone take advantage of Javascript and Flash in this way before.
- arturo227, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Pretty cool - but trivial from a programming perspective. Looks like it makes use of the LocalConnection object, which is standard in Flash.
I'm pretty sure the javaScript is only responsible for resizing and placing the windows though (I didn't watch it all the way through, howerver...). - Buckets, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1pop ups and window resizing? Wow, that really IS the coolest!
- SkiBumm4Life, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Creative, yes. Practical, definitely not. Any site that uses Javascript to resize my browser window usually gets an immediate close. Not to mention the fact that pop-ups are BAD!!!
- yasmyn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's really creative but the Flash on one of windows get slow...
- Jasoco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The internet seems to amaze me more and more every dy. I'm still getting over what Google did with Maps and Gmail. (AJAX)
- bdmcnitt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Like a dog with a wrapped Christmas present, I didn't pay attention to the ad but enjoyed playing with the box and ribbon. :)
- gambl0r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"wait, since when is moving my browser around so i cant use it "cool"? no digg, that flash blows"
Exactly. What the hell point was there to the popups? That could have easily been done just as effectively, if not better, on one flash movie, on one page. Not two popup windows. - fullmental, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0mmm original??? maybe.. but chek this out:

- Xertion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Some of you really need to get a damn grip. This thing was quite nicely done and fun to watch. @permission - You took this WAY to personally and I think you're, well, nuts. Same goes for Ratteler
Yes, we all know that if every site started doing this then it would get old very fast. Please though, get a grip.
+Digg - RyanOC, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Its funny that people hated this so much. I guess some people are mad to think this type of stuff will be all over the Internet. I love it but I would get sick of it quick too. Its just nice to see something so different on the web.
RyanOC - link470, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0wow, thats awsome, one of the coolest things I've ever seen.
- makwanza, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If you are all talking about it, then the purpose of the designer and samsung has been fulfilled.
- hawkswim32, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Holy good Christ is that amazing!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very creative use of JavaScript. I'm not gonna be a playa hata, that was cool. Bravo!
- brilliant, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0AFAIC, it works on both IE and FF.
I have sent the link to my dad whos running a 5 yrs old PC, He had no problems with all the fancy Flash/JS/DHTMLs apart from having to disable popup for that URL , which is not that hard.
Will all the haters please post what youve got.
I bet you cant even pull anything thats even a quarter as creative as those koreans.
We need TV shows like "Design Eye for the Developer Guys" to help dev-types appreciate things like that. - wreckless76, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Some of the comments on digg remind me of old ladies.
- PlancksCnst, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What are you people using IE for!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
- Urza_the_Tyrant, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Niceness ^_^
(+(+ WRYYYYYYY!!!!+)+) - drummerman109, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0wait, since when is moving my browser around so i cant use it "cool"? no digg, that flash blows
- Serendipity, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I am impressed, BUT I hate sites that automatically resize my browser windows. Besides, it does not work well with Firefox and tabbed browsing.
- 21.0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0holy crap
- GrandmasterB, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is some of the coolest Flash I've seen in a long time. The resizing of the windows it's great.
- Monkeyfarmer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0As a tech demo, cool, but the marketing dweebs at Samsung are idiots to think that this is the best use of their money.
Seriously, for the amount of billable hours to do all that (while interesting from a tech/dev/geek perspective) work, there HAD to have been better use for the money someplace else in the campaign.
A very small % of the browsers out there will even let this work.
Assumes that the user:
1) has flash MX
2) Javascript
3) not blocking pop-ups
4) fast enough computer to handle the moving flash windows without rendering problems
That has got to get rid of like 60% of the users out there.
However, perhaps Samsung's marketing folks think that, "Well, it's a high-tech geek phone, those people will have the PC horsepower to check it out". Wrong, it's these tech nerds that will most likely be running FF, blocking pop-ups, not using flash, etc.
Yet again, if you are a developer that does this type of stuff, it's nice to know that there are still marketing PHB's out there willing to throw money at this stuff. - cosmotic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'ts a good tech demo, but its not usable.
- sedgemonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Certainly an interesting site, but any site that requires any kind of popup are an instant turnoff for me.
- BxBoy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I thought it was cool, and nice to see from a web design point of view. It was different, that's all I asked! digg++
- darkpulsaromega, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nice idea, but no digg because I don't want to have to chase the 'X' around my desktop trying to close a popup (it'd probably take me a while before I got frustrated enough and Alt+F4'd the program).
- mojo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow, very nice!! Now I hope I never see that used again :-)
- wintermute0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Loaded fine for me in FF, just had to allow popups.
But holy crap, fullmental's link blows that away. - CoAX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Please people don't digg spam!
And on top of that this sh*t resized my browser window.
I hate those things.
DO NOT resize my window. It is MY window :[ - briz_dad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very cool... all you haters can just back the f-up. by the way, it is targeting England... anyone know if they are more open/available to this type of marketing?
- durnekell2k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0well it was neat, but really annoying.
- khigy777, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Man that was fun... I think you can do that with this tag... foo
- khigy777, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0thought I would be cool and add my comment with a fake html tag, duh that was stupid, of course it didn't show up
- Callaway, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very Nice.
