http://www.gfx.com - xptical, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0PHP is evil. Anyone know how to do this in RUBY?
- dtrinh, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1@Xptical - Ruby is the way of the future, forget about PHP
:P
Nonetheless, good Digg - much better than the norm : Apple, Google, iPod, Apple, Google. - thedifferenz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0no, not Ruby, Perl rules...
I know how to do this in Perl - douthat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5-1 for spaghetti code
-2 for logging into your db as root with no password
-5 for using auto defined variables from the request
-10 for not using password hashes
-50 for 2 sql injection vulnerabilities (what's the point of a password if any idiot can just list all your users?)
-10 for storing your password in a cookie
-5 for doing velocity checks for bad login on the client side
<sarcasm%gt;all in all, it's a pretty worthy php script deserving of being posted on zend.com</sarcasm%gt; - dpknc84, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Finally! Something dealing with code here. Dugg.
- lukes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1good point douthat makes about the security of these scripts. the tutorial notes in its conclusion: 'Obviously the scripts should be added upon. Obviously in their current state the scripts are not a complete application...', so please people - if you implement these scripts in your own e-commerce site, make sure to fill the gaps as outlined by douthat.
- sainttex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0no! SCREW paypal first and formost, just cough up some money and go with payflow/payflow pro. Zend needs to do some housecleaning.
