Project Gutenberg to the rescue... they have DVD images you can burn and distribute freely that contain thousands and thousands of ebooks that are all legal. Very very very cool.. I own a lot of O'Reilly books but would like to have a searchable version on the PC too. No luck here. The Microsoft Active Directory book is 4 years old - a tad too old to be really useful. The rest of it is dumb "how_to_hack_stuff.txt" files which aren't anything beyond what you could find in a quick Google search. Oh well, perhaps some will find it useful just cuz it's all in one place.
