Actually, online resources are probably more accurate than text books simply because they are easier to update. With a book, you have to publish a whole new edition and this means that books are usually more error-prone.
In an online resource, you just need to update select files.
Don't get me wrong. I love a good programming book when I find one. It's nice to have a quick reference available, however, I do prefer online resources as they are usually less error-prone and they have strong communities behind them if you have questions.
cplusplus.com for teh win! - andrewjw, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The two sites are part of the well known digg Mafia gang who digg sites to the tops. One user may have over 50 accounts and the gang may compromises of 50+ members. Do a search for "digg mafia" keyword and you will know that this is real.
