Sorry if you guys get a popup... Also, I wonder how long it'll be till ulmb shuts me down for hosting :3 - essjay, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Wow. You would have thought anyone who's even read one comments thread on digg would know not to spam it.
On a completely unrelated note, servers down but Coral got it, albeit imageless: -

- ElMoselYEE, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4i wish people would understand the difference between "26 good resources" and "top/best 26 resources". I'm sure they are great but i don't think any more than one person was polled in this "top" list.
not trying to hate, just pointing out...nice article, good find. - CJChesterson, on 10/11/2007, -0/+326 ways to do the same thing... sounds like perl.
- Bamborzled, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I've always liked the jQuery one:
http://stilbuero.de/jquery/tabs/
Search engine-friendly, some support for the back button, and one of the few that actually can use AJAX as part of their tabs. - netkid91, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1OK, what happened to the golden rule of programming: don't re-invent the wheel?
- ell0bo, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Yeah, haven't RTFA but I just having a feeling that AJAX doesn't belong in the description. Perhaps DHTML, but I doubt someone is using AJAX for using tabs in their web-pages, because that would just cause too much trouble with search engines since anything inside the tab wouldn't be indexable. Just a thought.
- pawas01, on 10/15/2008, -0/+1Thanks for the mirror loserbait. Original one was not loading
http://www.shoesworld.us - godsdead, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Lols i have a VERY simple Ajax Taber.. thing whatever you want to call it!
but its like slap bam in the center of my homepage, which people wont really use.. i might fiddle with it lols
These LOOK nice. - jon1012, on 10/11/2007, -1/+226 _best_ ways ?
26 _ways_ ok.... but there is only 1 _best_ way ;) - lateralus, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1http://www.alternative.com
- emehrkay, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2There are quite a few ajax-based soluions in the article, but i am with you when people over use ajax.
"hey, is there anyway for me to hide this div using ajax?" - smackhero, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2what's the big deal about including 4 javascript libraries? it's more modularized, which is a practice that good developers should adhere to. did you even take a look at the libraries? they're all fairly small and light-weight with ~3-4 functions each. would you rather including one big bloated general library with tons of unnecessary functions instead? if you want, you could easily combine them into one file just to save 3 lines of code on your web page, but being modularly organized hardly makes that example less user-friendly.
- iamdexter, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Those are nice. I will try them asap.

- Laurentvw, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1http://phrogz.net/JS/Tabtastic/index.html#overview is the most user & search engine friendly one.
- franky76, on 09/23/2008, -0/+0This can be possible AJAX for using tabs in their web-pages, because that would just cause too much trouble with search engines since anything inside the tab wouldn't be indexable
http://www.adidasshoess.com - DusanSmolnikar, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0Even though the page doesn't seem to load, after waiting for 10 seconds or so, "view source" works and you can see text text and links in there
edit: It does load, but it takes 2 minutes to do so... - yogastore, on 06/27/2008, -1/+0http://astore.amazon.com/calphalon.commercial-20

http://astore.amazon.com/chefs.choice.knife-20 - smackhero, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1um... there are plenty of uses for this. for instance, organizing your configurations/preferences page to divide options into multiple sections in different tabs. not every web page is meant to be indexed by search engines.
also, i doubt very many developers are using AJAX for the sake of using AJAX. usually it's simply to implement a certain type of behavior that only AJAX permits. it enhances most web pages and makes them more responsive. that's why it's being so widely adopted. for me it's just instinctual to use a certain tool to make my site behave the way i want it to. there's no conscious choice made to use AJAX, just what is needed to create the site that i want. - HarryHunt, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0Tabs are so easy to implement, why would you want to use a library for that?
- mishsquish, on 10/11/2007, -6/+3Alternative link, anyone?
- Drakazz, on 10/11/2007, -4/+1like... these guys are so un-1337...
(wow, digg even filters HTML code... I thought that htmlspecialchars() existed in PHP?)
