- ThsGuyRightHere, on 11/15/2008, -13/+479Thank Christ. Have you read the comments on other youtube videos?
If you're just bursting with feedback you can always use the suggestion page on change.gov... - jgrover, on 11/15/2008, -19/+463I can see it, YouTube is just the communication vehicle... it's not intended to be a place to collect feedback on Obama is doing. Political discussions can degrade to pretty insulting and inappropriate level pretty quickly...
- ThsGuyRightHere, on 11/15/2008, -22/+430Having someone lead the country and talk to us like we're adults is a refreshing change.
- Elliuotatar, on 11/15/2008, -29/+412Meh. He's off message here from what he said in his last speech:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65I0HNvTDH4#t=0m18s - d0nkeym0nkey, on 11/15/2008, -13/+339Thank god. The comments section of Youtube videos, is the toilet of the internet.

- Elliuotatar, on 11/15/2008, -74/+305Comments and ratings disabled?
- nytel, on 11/15/2008, -10/+216Write a letter to your congress. Don't post a ***** comment on YouTube.
- RedSaber, on 11/15/2008, -8/+169Oh *****, you guys have a weekly address from your new president on youtube?
Gosh, please export this guy to Canada/Quebec. We're stuck with a retarded PM up here (Harper) that is still afraid of the medias, like Bush was.
This video and initiative is great... I mean... wow. Welcome to the 21st century. - ThsGuyRightHere, on 11/15/2008, -7/+165If he did more than he's currently doing he'd be accused of trying to take over before his inauguration, and rightly so. He's done more during his predecessor's lame duck period than I've seen any other new president do, that's for damn sure.
- Feep, on 11/15/2008, -3/+155I dunno, it needs...more explosions, or something. Where's Michael Bay?
- deeboe, on 11/15/2008, -9/+142Wow, we have come a long way since the fireside chats.
- arTech, on 11/15/2008, -7/+129I don't think they got your sarcasm:)
- Angostura, on 11/15/2008, -0/+107... and he should be smoking a pipe
... and start off the address, leaning against the mantelpiece with his back to the camera, then turn...
"Ah, hello there..." - armakaryk, on 11/15/2008, -3/+106needs a fireplace in the background.
- afeitarse, on 11/15/2008, -6/+101Haha, I spent most of the time trying to see what books he had in the background.
- mark925, on 11/15/2008, -11/+106Setting a standard for every future President.
- shaka776, on 11/15/2008, -7/+96Yeah, nothing will bring the country together like all the racist comments under his videos... sheesh...
- ThsGuyRightHere, on 11/15/2008, -7/+94BarackRoll FTW.
- NinaOdell, on 11/15/2008, -12/+99funny :) Sorry you're getting digged down...
- jgrover, on 11/15/2008, -31/+113His whole platform was about change... doing things differently... The office of the president has been turned into a joke. Whether or not the YouTube experiment is the right platform to start to rebuild people trust in the government, I don't know... but he's got to try to change where we are today. Not everything will work, but I am so happy he's trying new things.
- funkyant, on 11/15/2008, -15/+95I'm an Aussie, so I only have an outsiders view...
BUT I LIKE THIS GUY!
He seems to be missing the arrogance of the usual lot. - StuartGibson, on 06/14/2009, -14/+93To be fair, he's also the first president to take office in a time where Internet access is mainstream. Not to put down the intention and I'm sure McCain wouldn't have done the same, but he is the first to have had the opportunity to really utilise the net to communicate with the public at large.
- Needles13, on 11/15/2008, -4/+82It's basically the same concept as weekly radio addresses, just with picture....not really a 'joke' or something ridiculous when you think about it. Just because it's YouTube and you are used to seeing cute kittens, unusually deep-voiced black people singing, or diabolical tiny animals doesn't mean it's a joke or a bad idea. If he wants people to get involved and wants them to see what he is up to and what he is thinking, then YouTube is a great choice.
- inactive, on 11/15/2008, -16/+88Goodbye Old Boy network and hello Future, Obama's Youtube strategy we benefit us all .......
- AirBallistic, on 11/15/2008, -3/+74Having a president that speaks like an adult is a refreshing change.
- Zaggy111, on 11/15/2008, -5/+72http://www.youtube.com/user/ChangeDotGov subscribe
- CCoe, on 11/15/2008, -1/+65It's over. And by the way, my friend, McCain told YOU to support Obama any way you can in his concession speech. Why would you not listen to McCain if you were a supporter?
- einrobstein, on 11/15/2008, -0/+63Your weird use of capitalization confuses me.
- TVarmy, on 11/15/2008, -3/+65True. I could see some Fox News or talk radio guy picking up some random comments from those Obama videos and saying "This is what Obama supporters actually believe."
- Unknown038, on 11/15/2008, -2/+64that comma is extraneous
- blitz718, on 11/15/2008, -13/+67Pure awesomeness
- tfrans, on 11/15/2008, -7/+60This right here is why he was elected. The American people want transparency and he's taking good first steps to interact with the American people.
- Qchan, on 11/15/2008, -5/+58Obama is basically saying that he understands what's going on and appears to be giving an update as to what his plans are. This is good! It shows that he actually DOES care about the American people and wishes for transparency. I feel like he really was serious about not keeping us in the dark. Way to go.
- dacrazydude, on 11/15/2008, -3/+55You're a damn genius.
- Doomsan, on 11/15/2008, -4/+51Cool autographed basketball.

- artfiend77, on 11/15/2008, -1/+40You, sir, are what Digg...nay, the internet, is all about.
- inactive, on 11/15/2008, -11/+50This is a great idea, it's good that he wants to continue to hear the voice of the people and our opinions and use it constructively. Sorry but, Good bye to the old politics of the Bush years!!!!!!
- AZRoboto, on 11/15/2008, -2/+40...And we all know the comments people make on YouTube
- Elude107, on 11/15/2008, -1/+39Comments disabled = tax raises?
- jordanwlee, on 11/15/2008, -4/+41It's the new Fireside Chat.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fireside_chats - TimeIsTissue, on 11/15/2008, -6/+43I am a McCain supporter (over Obama anyway), and still continue to like McCain over Obama, but I must say, Obama is doing a great job utilizing the internet and other modern-day technologies to make his presidency more personal for the people. He's doing a lot of work. Bravo, and I hope to God he will be a good president.
