Nice... - allengeer, on 10/11/2007, -0/+45When colbert starts laughing, odds are something fantasticly hilarious has happened. Such is the case here.
"I'd pull her little panties down" wow Tommy. - fancypantscz, on 10/11/2007, -6/+50Very funny and yet somehow sad and even a little frightening that our most insightful and intelligent commentary on TV news comes from a guy that in all likelihood hasn't been sober in years...
- LordByr0n, on 10/11/2007, -3/+32'Of course, I'm Tommy Chong.'
Sorry... it just needs that little bit at the end :) - gothicx00, on 10/11/2007, -0/+26@r00ts
Um, he said "such a licking" not "sensual licking"
But what nobody realizes, is that is his style of comedy. He says one thing, and allows you to take it a different way, and that is what makes the man funny. - mochaman, on 10/11/2007, -1/+23I must say Colbert's usual shtick did not work against Tommy Chong's character.
This is hilarious! - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+20great video
- diggdong, on 10/11/2007, -1/+19Yeah, nice sound if you you don't have a left ear.

Dugg because this is what I saw when I saw this post:
http://img260.imageshack.us/img260/571/lolkh1.jpg - overtoke, on 10/11/2007, -3/+21most people who smoke pot are sober 24/7. don't confuse use with abuse.
- itsameericle, on 10/11/2007, -1/+16what's worse, is that the insightful/real commentary ("just shootin the *****") came from him....which was then deemed unworthy/wrong....O_o
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+14That was such an awesome appearance, and couldn't agree more with Chong that this is such a non-issue. Let the justice system handle it, but don't let this BS have any impact in your life.
"I'd give her such a lickin'!"
"Oh there's other things I'd do also." - diablo75, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13"Who did she murder?"
- JaYBrooks, on 10/11/2007, -2/+14Ya gotta love the title of his book.. " I Chong" hehe... I seem to remember another book with a similar name.
- ragnar0kk, on 10/11/2007, -1/+13absolutely awesome
- krebcycle, on 10/11/2007, -1/+13"Who, who's Tim Russert?" is a great line.
- shewasjustagrl, on 10/11/2007, -6/+13@anaesthetica
I would agree with you on the video section part, but the link you posted is technically the dupe since this was submitted about 24 hours ago.
There are dupes everywhere. Live with it. - lutefiski, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Tommy Chong for President.
- mccrusc, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7I think his point was "why is this news?"
We all know why it is, just as well as he does, but that doesn't make it any less sad. - ebrgt62, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7The most unbelievable thing was how completely lucid Tommy sounded. Whoaaaa.
- ShorXrorE, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6hilarious AND accurate!
- Twango, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Man ... I want the box set!
- jsams81, on 06/26/2009, -0/+3that was hilarious, chong is still funny
- majordanger, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3He's a funny guy and just happens to be in town tomorrow night in Tempe AZ.. and now I may just have to go see him
- sabach, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3He's a classic. The "druggie" stuff was just an act, did you see him when owned several Gold's Gyms? He was ripped and impressive.
- Factionrider, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5You'd sing a different tune if you saw someone killed by a drunk driver. I agree with you to the point that w/e substance you use stays in your own home and you do not operate a couple thousand pound blunt instrument while you're inebriated.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Cheech and Chong are my hero's.
- Edner, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2didnt anyone repair his shirt? he was wearing sweet leafs.. haha chong rocks!!
- robbiedo, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I don't drink. Just don't like to drink. I don't care if other people drink. I do care that others are injured by other people's negligent behavior, and nearly everyone exhibits some negligent behavior while driving on a daily basis.
What bothers me is that there is little difference in punishing someone with a .08, .12, .16, or higher BAC. I think it does make a difference the degree of how irresponsible someone is being by driving while intoxicated, especially repeat offenders. There is substantial evidence that stricter enforcement of low BAC prosecutions has not reduce alcohol related traffic fatalities. DUI/DWI arrests and prosecutions are profitable industry in the USA, and it bothers me that a select group of people put through a system to the benefit of others. I think under most current state systems, which are increasingly dictated by the Fed's use of access to DOT funds, is a ham handed approach to the problem. Should Paris be punished? She was stupid for getting in her situation; on the other hand she is being punished to a much greater degree than the average person in Los Angeles County under similar circumstances, and I dislike punishing someone disproportionately just because the mob doesn't like them, especially because they have had a life of privilege, and deserve their to be dropped a peg or two. That is not what the justice system is supposed to do.
I had a law professor who once said life is just a series of undetected misdemeanors and negligence, and everyone of you can be prosecuted or sued for something. - envertigo, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I didn't hold my laugh at work. The result was a dozen people huddled around my desk howling.
- spectre_25gt, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3This isn't about one person's DUI and incarceration. That would be boring as hell. Paris has gripped my attention because it finally looks like one of these spoiled selfish celebrity morons got what was coming to them. My hope is that it will set a precedent and we'll see Lindsay Lohan and all the other primadona bimbos behind bars soon as well.
The fact that these pieces of crap get away with what they get away with is a symptom of a much larger problem in the US. - eatsushi, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I am still trying to hold in my laugh at work! This man has led a life of happiness..
- mccrusc, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4you're a dupe
- blacklilyninja, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2what i wanna know is.. Which secret branch of the government is she supposedly going to work for now that she's been extradited from society in a quick and quiet fashion? Paris Hilton... superspy!
Tommy is the best - Factionrider, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Culbert didn't quite give it his all. I figure he likes Tommy and probably agrees with him so he didn't bash on him too hard. Watch the episode where Willie Nelson comes on the Report and you'll see what I mean.
- Factionrider, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Apparently not anymore
- willijay, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Chong is king!...Dave's not here!!!
- johndoenumber2, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1That was pretty funny. I had to share that one around.
- OkayDoood, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1alliteration is amazing
- oDGuardian, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1@anaesthetica
Technically its Stephen Colbert...in his own way he does the news. What would happen if someone put a video of Tim Russert on the news section...still call it a video? He is delivering the news therefore it would belong in the news section. If it was a video thats stupid then it would belong in the video section. Damn I hate the hell out of people like you who thinks this should be here and there and whatnot. - tech42er, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Hasn't he been on a "pot fast" since he was arrested?
- MacLiberal, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2Three cheers for Chong, Paris or for that matter, anyone should not be in jail for their personal use of their bodies.
- sapahi, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Stephen is a genius, generally, whose gestures, text etc produce hilarious comedy. He uses vulgar language sometimes but that reflects the popoular culture. Chong may have scored a point but that' nothing. Hilton again represents culture like Anna Nicole!
- praisethelard, on 06/06/2008, -4/+3damn you all
- identifiedlogo, on 10/11/2007, -4/+2did u hear him say anything else?
- tracespeck, on 10/11/2007, -10/+5I disagree with tommy, paris deserved to go to jail. The MSNBC and Colbert report appearences were funny though.
- Grub, on 10/11/2007, -8/+2Does this need to be on the video section and the front page? Seems like people keep submitting popular video's from digg's video section to the front page
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -9/+3Nevermind
- cyberstall, on 10/11/2007, -6/+0lol @ inbred
great minds, my friend, gread minds.
aww you removed your image. sadface. - overtoke, on 10/11/2007, -10/+3she deserved punishment, not jail. she does not deserve special treatment.
jails are not effective and are a detriment to society in the united states.
also, compare her crime with tommy chong's and compare the punishment. -
