newlibertycreation.com — When Jesus was tempted in the desert, it was a very serious temptation for Jesus because his mission and identity necessitated his central role in the establishment of a real Kingdom. Jesus is offered a way to rule through worldly/state power, but Jesus rejects this means for his ascension for a radical alternative. Nationalism still tempts today.
