- pictureDIGGER, on 10/10/2007, -49/+650Oh I bet they are on more than just Wikipedia. FOX isn't a television network. It is a gigantic propaganda machine. I don't think it would be far fetched to think they are here too. Probably burying this article right now. DUGG
- tehbored, on 10/10/2007, -11/+254Don't you just love how anyone who does not agree with Fox News completely and utterly is automatically branded a liberal.
- borninda818, on 10/10/2007, -12/+229From the comments: "Pretty funny that Fox would try that, but it only lasted eight minutes."
Well done! - zKman, on 10/10/2007, -7/+99They should just stick to the Conservapedia
- dagnabbit, on 10/10/2007, -6/+98Someone should put these shenanigans on their Wikipedia page.
- orangester, on 10/10/2007, -14/+92I'm in ur article changin information.
- crawf061, on 10/10/2007, -8/+84Yeah I'm sure Fox is burying stories on digg. They would hate for the digg community (their target audience) to find out their secrets.
- MonsterChaOS, on 10/10/2007, -14/+76Good ol' Faux news, always reporting *ahem* distorting the facts.

http://www.ip2location.com/12.167.224.228 ISP: Fox News Channel - semiotix, on 10/10/2007, -3/+56You're right, it's silly. But then again, as a liberal I have to say that completely and utterly disagreeing with Fox News is an excellent place to start.
- solomonsjim, on 10/10/2007, -14/+67Faux News Channel. We decide, then report.
- Rsulliv1, on 10/10/2007, -3/+43Does that mean that you're alright with this behavior, or that you're tired of people pointing out that your teacher may not know as much as he says?
- NikoKun, on 10/10/2007, -4/+42hahaha... they tried to add Liberal before the news radio name... XD it's like some kind of childish name calling...
Didn't the media used to be liberal? When did that all turn around? lol - skankyBacon, on 10/10/2007, -2/+34dugg all around
- Gaki, on 10/10/2007, -0/+29Digg is a collection of over a million people worldwide. There are liberals, conservatives and every other political stripe here. Statistically, this has to be true because of the size of the sample. Seriously, grow up and take off the caps lock.
- Gaki, on 10/10/2007, -2/+31Yeah, because the only defining characteristic that you use to determine whether someone is a "noob" is that they bash Fox News, right? Doesn't matter what kind of education they have or their age or their political affiliations ... just that they bash Fox News.
- MacEnvy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+29This observation that you keep bringing this up isn't nearly as enlightening as you think it is.
- rabidjester, on 10/10/2007, -0/+27http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/12.167.224.228 Jesus, Fox News has been busy, look at that history. Some of those changes are quite classy - what's with the Olbermann obsession?
- theOster, on 10/10/2007, -2/+29O RLY?
- Eliza101, on 10/10/2007, -7/+33http://duggmirror.com/political_opinion/Fox_News_Caught_Editing_Wikipedia_Changes_Included/
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -7/+30O'Reilly and Bill O'Reilly are not the same entity.
- joe7845, on 10/10/2007, -1/+22You can edit Wikipedia, but you should try to follow the rules. Hiding documentable information just because you don't like it is a no-no.
- BigKenW, on 10/10/2007, -3/+24All caps is a sign of the Right Wing. Stop cap-filled posters now! I wonder if this post will show on MSNBC?
- Gaki, on 10/10/2007, -2/+23Making fun of editors when your own post contains several spelling and grammatical mistakes is ironic.
- masgrada, on 10/10/2007, -4/+24Conservatives need to yell to overpower rational thought.
- merreborn, on 10/10/2007, -1/+21"Ok... so if no one that works for a company can edit the entry, who can edit Wikipedia?"
You can't edit an entry you're directly involved in. In this case, that means that while Fox News' thousands of employees are unable to edit Fox-related articles, there are roughly 6 billion people who can. Many of whom work in the same industry, or have access to relevant news sources. - stoanhart, on 10/10/2007, -0/+18do it yourself!
- Crynos, on 10/10/2007, -1/+19That's why it said "Franken said"
- an0nymous, on 10/10/2007, -3/+19You should make a digg post with citations. I'ld digg it up
Also: name calling unnecessarily alienates your audience, you *****. - MindTrigger, on 10/10/2007, -2/+18I don't see the humor in this. They are all scum.
- supermanred, on 10/10/2007, -3/+19You work for Fox I take it, either that or the hicks in the sticks have just gotten DSL
- mildsoup, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16i think it's pretty funny that in this change : http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Brit_Hume&diff=prev&oldid=58834319
they misspelled liberal - bewareofmoose, on 10/10/2007, -36/+51BREAKING - 15,000 Wikipedia Users Caught Editing Wikipedia [Changelog Included]
- Gaki, on 10/10/2007, -1/+16CNN isn't left leaning at all. It's not as far right wing as Fox, I'll admit, but no left-leaning media organization I've ever read (www.commondreams.org, for example) has anything but scorn for CNN. It's probably more corporatist than RW or LW, but as corporations and the RW love each other, that says something in and of itself.
- sirloin, on 10/10/2007, -3/+18The are attacking NPR and PBS and the net as they are PUBLIC resources. It is insane to call them liberal as THE PUBLIC controls the content. Think your local PBS is too liberal, then go down there and do a conservative show. It is called Public as it is NON CORPORATE. And apparently anything NON CORPORATE these days is liberal. thats why digg is liberal, and every non corporate site on the net, the ABA, public broadcasting, public schools. Anything non corporate is a bastion for liberals. Amazing isnt it?
No i ask you if america is 51% conservative as polls have show (we all lean a bit conservative), how can every public soap box be liberal? Are conservatives that scared of public speaking? - WarpFox, on 10/10/2007, -5/+20Doesn't matter, it was a quote that Al Franken actually said on-air. The factual basis of the quote has nothing to do with the fact that it was actually said.
Edit: you know what i love about conservatives? most of them are painfully ***** stupid. - Gaki, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15Every single person on the planet has bias, so pointing that fact out is a banality.
What isn't a banality is the abuse of that bias by those with actual power, not just the miniscule power of digging up an article here or there, but power enough to mold public opinion in broad strokes. The higher up the power structure you go, the more intense should be the scrutiny of your actions and motivations. Compared to a Rupert Murdoch, with hundreds of newspapers worldwide, several radio station chains and dozens of worldwide networks ... the power of digging an article is ridiculously small. Save your ire for the big boys. - ByteGuerilla, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14"The revolutions of the 21st Century will not be fought in the streets, and against the rulers. They will be fought on your TV and computer screens, on the front pages of your newspapers and against the people. The Cold War was not fought against totalitarianism; it was fought to give the subjects of the next great totalitarianisms a common enemy against which to surrender freedoms in order to ensure victory. And such it is with the War on Terror."
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+15Someone needs to do an internet video parody of the O'Reilly Factor called "the O RLY? Factor."
It would the the hottest thing on YouTube. - jcaino, on 10/10/2007, -2/+15i dugg you down for you blatant ignorance.
- OralCavity, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13you are an idiot. fox news edited it as a form of damage control (albeit a minor one), thus politicizing an article in an encyclopedia. can you not see that it is wrong to politicizing facts?
- dagamer34, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12Misinformation is one thing that may routinely show up on articles, but Fox clearly changed a QUOTE to make itself appear better. That's a no-no.
- Memitim, on 10/10/2007, -4/+16True enough. I'm fiscally very conservative and socially somewhat liberal (so, of course, I don't exist in the eyes of government :) ) but 100% in the opinion that Fox News is a festering wasteland in the morass of mass media information outlets. I refuse to use the word "news" to describe the tripe that they deliver.
- Eliza101, on 10/10/2007, -3/+14Have you EVER seen a "down already"/"down after only # diggs" comment get dugg up??? You had to know when you submitted that you would get dugg down!
Why do people keep doing this? - legendxx, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11'Franken said that Fox's case against him was "literally laughed out of court"... '
What part of SAID and "" don't you understand? It could have been "Franken said 'the world is flat and full of dragons' " and it still would have been correct. It's an account of his reaction after the case.. not that difficult. - psion01, on 10/10/2007, -12/+23PictureDigger, all this proves is that someone who works at Fox edited the entry. It doesn't necessarily indicate that this was officially directed by Fox executives. Most likely, a lone employee, surfing at lunch time, or goofing off when they were supposed to be doing something else, saw the entry and put the bias in. No big Rupert Murdoch conspiracy, just an average Joe who -- surprise! -- has a right-wing bias making the change.
- WiseWeasel, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12Those democrats getting airtime aren't liberal either... They are corporatist (support the government funding of corporations).
- plhearn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10I can't remember anyone on digg ever claiming MSNBC is unbiased. Do you have a source?
- iamsamsamiam, on 10/10/2007, -7/+17Wow, FOX's branches of misinformation expands further than it's own network and conservative talk radio and blogs. They're trying to pollute the free information internets too.
The only upside is that FOX doesn't have any dignity so they wouldn't feel any shame perpetrating this ploy anyways. - Bdog2g2, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12"That's soooo funny I forgot to laugh! Lalala-loooooooossseerrrrrrrrrrrrrrr."
Coming from the guy who quoted either Kevin Neely from Daddy Day Car or Ace Ventura. -
