FACT CHECK: Bush Has Cut Funding For Cancer Research
thinkprogress.org — [VIDEO] Health officials reported that cancer deaths in the U.S. dropped for the second year in a row. Bush teed off this news with a speech at NIH, touting the increased funding for cancer research since 2001. But in reality, "most of that occurred in those early years under a Clinton initiative. The budget was actually cut last year."

- pdarnold, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I would like to point out that US cancer deaths dropped again last year to an all time low. Well doesn't that suck?! Bush should pay because he only allowed the neocon cancer victims to live so they could vote in the midterm. Oh well, I guess he forgot that he needed to kill the dem cancer victims before they could vote too.
- Todalion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Where is all this propaganda that i keep hearing about anyway? Is propaganda now anything that is remotley optimistic about our country? The Pledge of Allegiance is nothing more than right-wing propaganda.......
