Cheney's Fall From Grace -- TIME
time.com — Cheney has become the Administration's enemy within, the man whose single-minded pursuit of ideological goals, creaking political instincts and love of secrecy produced an independent operation inside the White House that has done more harm than good.

http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r43/littlebylittle_2007/BushAndCheney.jpg - Keach, on 10/12/2007, -11/+14I think it's time to que on of my favorite videos.
Some good shots of the Chain-Man.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdvTN1PI-sM - rockforever, on 10/12/2007, -10/+15FALL from grace?
- coolian, on 10/12/2007, -10/+43Cheney's just a dick.
- unknownsoldierX, on 10/12/2007, -5/+8Thanks, keach
I hadn't heard that song before. Great video, too.
For those that do not know, the song is "Masters Of War" by Bob Dylan. - macmcrae, on 10/12/2007, -9/+53To blame only cheney is retarded. The whole bush administration is a knucklehead inflamed bloody rash of morons and evil doers.
- RoflcopterFUEL, on 10/12/2007, -14/+5***** fascist...
- Bibimbap, on 10/12/2007, -10/+21The president's a bush and the vice president's a dick
so a whole lotta ***** is what we gunna get!
- Talib - twiztedambience, on 10/12/2007, -7/+16Wow this was a great article. I'm amazed to see the mainstream media taking a strong stand like this. I'm sure somewhere conservatives will use this article as more evidence of a liberal media. I just hope those same people consider what the approval rating polls say about the president and the Veep. Worst pair ever? possibly...
- DonWilson, on 10/12/2007, -31/+7I absolutely love the hatred that comes out of these free spirited liberals.
It makes my day. - mrfoos, on 10/12/2007, -32/+6Cheney's like a 13 year old girl's dad. Being an older wiser dad, he knows what's out there in the world, and he acts in his daughters best interest. Of course the daughter, in this case the liberals, don't understand enough to appreciate what the dad is doing for them. But that's ok. Dads do what they do out of love, not for popularity with the daughters friends who want to get her in trouble. So liberals can continue their defiance with old dad. That part's expected. And dad will continue to look out for them. Thanks Daddy Cheney!
- RazielX, on 10/12/2007, -9/+26@mrfoos
Cheney is more like a 13 year old girl's pedophile step-dad who molests her at night and claims that this is what real love is. Thanks Daddy Cheney! I love you! - mrfoos, on 10/12/2007, -16/+5Shhh, RazielX, go back to sleep. And stop watching so much TV. Everythings going to be ok.
- matriculated, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I remember when Bush and Cheney just started campaigning and I thought, boy, we'll never hear the end of the Bush 'n Dick jokes... but it never happened!
- skulljar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4"Being an older wiser dad, he knows what's out there in the world, and he acts in his daughters best interest."
...More like the daughters dad in "Meet The Parents," played by DeNiro, but a lot less funny. Well, Dick is pretty funny in a pathetic kinda way. But that's NOT how you raise your kids! Looks like most of The Administration is outside the "circle of trust" now.
Although the other side of the token would be Fokker's parents. People think they're wacky liberals. I'm into "attachment parenting" myself though. Oh and by the way, I'm glad you depicted the spoon feeding government and the suckling peasantry in your analogy- very apt.
...The Administration has become America's enemy within. - masterkenobi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Grace who what now? I didn't realize he was highly revered to begin with?
- littlebylittle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1So the Big News in the last Day or so.
Halliburton is Moving Their Headquarters from Houston to DUBAI
http://www.digg.com/business_finance/Halliburton_is_Moving_Their_Headquarters_from_Houston_to_DUBAI
(They already had a Cayman Islands address to avoid paying US Taxes by the way.)
Gee, I wonder what Dick and all his friends and family are going to do when he leaves office? And I'm just sure he'll be giving all those options he's had all along to charity.
What a bunch of *****' Criminals.
Why do let let our leaders get away with this *****? - aajjcckk2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Cheney masterminded the 9/11 inside job. No *****. It WILL come out.
- littlebylittle, on 10/12/2007, -17/+73If BushCo and Cheney had their way ........
- keyboardduder, on 10/12/2007, -17/+4I believe in death to lessen death................
- littlebylittle, on 10/12/2007, -13/+3Huh?
- zybch, on 10/12/2007, -9/+20Basically, Cheney should be killed so he can't indirectly kill any more innocent people from other countries and his own.
- littlebylittle, on 10/12/2007, -6/+9I can't be all about "killing" people unless they are sentenced to death for treason. Cheney qualifies, but it will never happen.
- The_Dude, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2That's a key conservative value!
- littlebylittle, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3I was a moderate until BushCo came along. I'm not any rubber stamp Liberal to be sure. Although I don't think Capital Punishment is carried out fairly in the US. The poor are executed more often than the rich. Minorities more than white folk.
- cheersrazer, on 10/12/2007, -10/+14At least someone is being held accountable in this administration, even if Scooter Libby is the fall guy.
- rockforever, on 10/12/2007, -8/+14Thats not a good kind of attitude because they have tons of guys like libby who will take the fall. The purpose of justice is to fix things. Not let some fall guy take the blame while the real crooks are still running the show. Besides you know that Libby's gonna get taken off the hook by some presidential pardon or something like that.
- ChumpChief, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7Yeah, even though Cheney is a prick, this kind of story is in the Republican's favor. It's much less damning to have a single person be "the crazy one" than for that honor to fall on the entire administration. Democrats would be smart to not take the bait and go for a full investigation involving all of the upper administration.
- Afreyt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hopefully knowing that you could be a fall guy will have a chilling effect on people working with the administration. Then, knowing neoconservatives, who am I kidding, they'ld take jail time if they thought it meant working with a heroic administration fighting a pitched battle against Da Liburhals.
- Alfonzo, on 10/12/2007, -13/+9Send in the next scapegoat!
- littlebylittle, on 10/12/2007, -12/+12Scapegoat? You mean accomplice to 3000+ soldiers dead over lies for justification?
- rockforever, on 10/12/2007, -14/+3No, those weren't necessary sacrifices. Scapegoats in the GOP's arsenal like Libby, the tons of political and military officials who lost their jobs for Cheney&Co's incompetence, and lets not forget the Liberals who screw everything up by disagreeing or having an opinion about things.
- chopenik, on 10/12/2007, -10/+8Their time will come. If nothing else, they will leave a legacy of being labled as tyrants.
- littlebylittle, on 10/12/2007, -14/+4Great Sentiment. It reminds me of the Led Zeppelin song, "Your Time Is Gonna Come," Led Zeppelin I. One of the greatest songs EVAR!
- littlebylittle, on 10/12/2007, -11/+2Well, here's the song. Best I could do.

- devilspy, on 10/12/2007, -5/+15What Grace? The only Grace he had was orchestrated on Fox News interviews :)
- ethon, on 10/12/2007, -6/+21Cheney is a character that could be straight out of the TV show 24.
- zybch, on 10/12/2007, -5/+26Or a Sith Lord from Starwars!
- prgrmmr736, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7@zybch Darth Cheney does have a certain ring to it.
- jeanette3654, on 10/12/2007, -5/+23bush, cheney et al are small potatos. I want the puppetmaster!
- littlebylittle, on 10/12/2007, -4/+11Cheney knows him personally.
- jrusso9, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9ROVE
- GeoffChang, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Don't take my word for it. Think for yourself.

What if wasn't JUST Cheney? What if he had, perhaps, a few friends? Just a few? - kingfelix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6i'm pretty certain either cheney or rupert murdoch are within one step of dr. claw. good luck getting to him outside of somewhere like bohemian grove, though.
- jouissance, on 10/12/2007, -8/+13dick cheney is the personification of why our combination of liberal democracy and capitalism must change in radical ways before it starts to work for the benefit of both america and the rest of the world.
- twiztedambience, on 10/12/2007, -7/+17... more of an example of how stupid our public has become when it cannot see through election propaganda and money to truly elect a president and vice president that represent the people.
- scottylist, on 10/12/2007, -7/+7Cheney, Dick.
- devilspy, on 10/12/2007, -5/+10He'll Gracefully shoot you in the face. Quuaaack(in John Stewart's Cheney's impersonation voice)
- DavidGX, on 10/12/2007, -5/+28Wait.. fall FROM grace? When the hell did cheney ever have any grace??
- ChumpChief, on 10/12/2007, -5/+8Back when he was a figure skater in "Dick on Ice"
- MasterSmatty, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3@jouissance
You believe that stamping out individual freedom is what must be done for America to benefit? How? Capitalism is nothing more than freedom of trade. I buy what I want from who I want and vice versa. Democracy is essentially the political form of that. I vote for who I want.- haydesigner, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1And I reply to who I want!
(or don't reply, in this case)
Still, watch me stamp my feet now!
- haydesigner, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1And I reply to who I want!
- thomasprebble, on 10/12/2007, -7/+8Chain up Cheney!
- Rooster99, on 10/12/2007, -6/+9if Dick Cheney is a *****, does that make him a hermi?
- Wonderkind, on 10/12/2007, -8/+10Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Cheney is thinking,
"I may be a dick, but I'm a very very rich dick." - PhilMoskowitz, on 10/12/2007, -6/+8When was he ever in a state of grace? Cheney is a living example that unregulated market capitalism resembles syndicate crime more than a competitive trade market.
- roberto_deneero, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7Why is this even worthy of attention? We've all known he's just a white haired douchebag from Texas. Nothing new here.
- MassiveDamage, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2He's from Wyoming.
- rstevens, on 10/12/2007, -4/+11The crimes committed by this administration so mortifies the constitutional liberties of freedom that they must be hiding something massive.
Building 7 is the secret: http://www.wtc7.net/videos.html - HalfGiraffe, on 10/12/2007, -5/+10Bah.
This article is nothing but spoon-fed spin from the White House: it's all Cheney's fault, everything's fine now, we (everyone but Cheney) had nothing to do with this mess, we're back on track, etc etc. This is a propaganda piece, part of the campaign to save the Republicans in 2008- jrusso9, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6CARL.. should i say more?
- Run4ny, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Cheney eats souls for breakfast.
- gooniegoogooz, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Although I actually wanted to read what made Time magazine think that there was less respect for cheney, my questions went unanswered. I thought the article was poorly written. Nobody like the guy, we all know that. But, does anybody in the administration really listen to him any less???
- skellener, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5> Cheney's Fall From Grace -- TIME
This guy was never held up as a good guy in the first place (even by supporters). How can he fall from grace? - zedstream, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Cheney et al have trouble with ambiguity. Normally, that's not a problem. It becomes a problem when that type of character gets in power and believes the force of government and industry can resolve the world's great ironies.
- Guinnessgrrl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4he should resign and move to Dubai to the new Halliburton HQ
- Glansbourg, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0Cheney is a superpatriot. Most of you need to open your eyes (particularly the Left one) and see that this country is under constant threat from those who want to end your way of life. That's right - are people out there who want you dead and would like to end your way of life. They are unreasonable people and as such, cannot be dealt with rationally. The use of force, while understandibly distasteful to many, is our only option right now.
Why don't one of you creative types photoshop up a picture of Hugo Boss over Stalin's face?
I will forever resent the hypocrisy of the Left.- zedstream, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Cheney is the ultimate narcissist. It's about his power lust, not America's safety. You are mistaken if you think Cheney cares about your safety.
- Afreyt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I will forever resent the hypocrisy and incompetence and immorality of the right.
- JohnboiWaltune, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You know, this is probably the same sort of dogma Al Qaeda uses to recruit its members.... just replace "Cheney" with "Osama" and you've got a pretty effective Al Qaeda recruiting ad, effectively targeting the weakminded and xenophobic members of the population.
- KatieBee, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1wow, another lib. article bashing the bush administration. isn't that interesting . . .
- zedstream, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4There is a white elephant in the room. Sorry that has to be pointed out.
- IamBoat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Boy, the government sure does work slow. Everyone has know he's pure evil for 6 years now.
- belfastbiker, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5The whole damned administration is filled with dicks.
- yonas, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1ITMFA
- Xill, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Cheney is going to rot in his own little hell.
- gab00n, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Cheney sucks balls.
- ecorona, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Aren't you guys tired of the blatant disregard for the will of the American people? Why aren't you conservatives addressing the war-profiteering done by this administration? Why is that not an issue? That alone should get them thrown out of office even if they didn't lie about the reasons for war, condoned torture, or outed an American spy as a political move. Are you so happy that gays can't marry and that you will pay less taxes that these things matter so much less to you? Or do you still believe that what we're doing in Iraq is making us safe? Do you have any idea how you'd feel if you lost your family due to some country called X? You'd want to destroy X no matter what the cost! This war has led to the deaths of somewhere between 10 to 100 times more innocent deaths than 911 even by the administration's own estimates! Is money really that freaking worth it???
- littlebylittle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1No, it isn't.
The *****' herd won't look up, see what's going on and move on it. The people that see what's going on don't know what to do.
I call my people in Congress all the time. I get some staffer. They probably don't even pass along the message.
- littlebylittle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1No, it isn't.
- cajungator2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I don't trust TIME magazine ever since I found out that they made Adolf Hitler man of the year
- analyze, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Do you liberals realize how incoherent you sound? One post after another of hate-Cheney diatribes? It makes you look like feces eating, helmet wearing mental patients screaming and ranting incoherent lunacy. You know, I've seen people like you before - but I had to pay an admission.
- crazyoldman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Fall from grace!?! since when did Cheney get grace.
- amightywind, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Time Magazine. That is about is influential on my opinion of Vice President Cheney as a rant by Rosie O'Donnel on The View. Vice President Cheney has done a fantastic job. We are lucky to have him. I only wish he were running for President.
