- grc586, on 04/07/2008, -2/+119Lego Star Wars wasn't too bad..
- Varney, on 04/07/2008, -0/+10It was based on Episodes I-III and didn't "suck."
- StarExtreme, on 04/08/2008, -0/+6Or based on all 6, if you got The Complete Saga.
- Pstall, on 04/07/2008, -0/+8Yeah where the hell is lego star wars at on this list?
- VacantThoughts, on 04/07/2008, -0/+4Read the bottom part, they say they had to take it off the best of list because their were to many good star wars games.
- hermslice, on 04/07/2008, -0/+7yeah i played the lego complete saga this weekend!!! good game, nice gameplay, FUN, FUNNY. if you like star warz and dont mind them fudging on a few of the details this game is awesome. seriously check it out.
- morningchai, on 04/07/2008, -0/+4Funny, indeed. :)
A hopping one-legged C-3PO or poor Chewie with the lop-sided Storm Trooper helmet? Priceless. ;)
- morningchai, on 04/07/2008, -0/+4Funny, indeed. :)
- Danktolker, on 04/07/2008, -3/+8No Battlefront either? ***** this list
- yohnstoppable, on 04/07/2008, -8/+5Battlefront was a HORRIBLE ***** game. I agree it should have been on the worst list
- Danktolker, on 04/08/2008, -0/+3um, SERIOUSLY? You must have played the retarded version because both were absolutely brilliant.
- yohnstoppable, on 04/07/2008, -8/+5Battlefront was a HORRIBLE ***** game. I agree it should have been on the worst list
- illt, on 04/07/2008, -3/+3Star Wars Galaxies should not be on the worst, it should be on the best.
It was really bad when it first came out, but i gotta admit, some of the best times i've ever had in a video game have been with SWG.- FireStrife, on 04/07/2008, -1/+4was it the game or was it the people you played it with. Most MMORPG's are enjoyable because of the people in the game, well at least most of the time.
But it does not necessarily make it a good game. - bagboyrebel, on 04/07/2008, -1/+2actually, I thought it was pretty good when It first came out, but it was also my first MMO, so that might have affected my judgment. All the changes that they made to it (especially making becoming a jedi so easy) are what made it such a bad game.
- FireStrife, on 04/07/2008, -1/+4was it the game or was it the people you played it with. Most MMORPG's are enjoyable because of the people in the game, well at least most of the time.
- Scheissen, on 04/07/2008, -0/+5I'd love to see a sequel for Republic Commando.
- estvir, on 04/08/2008, -1/+2Like, a third one? There was 2 wasn't there? Meh, maybe I'm crazy but yeah, it was an okay game.
- TheBEAST205, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1Yea, I thought Republic Commando was a cool game, it put Star Wars games in a completely different perspective.
- estvir, on 04/08/2008, -1/+2Like, a third one? There was 2 wasn't there? Meh, maybe I'm crazy but yeah, it was an okay game.
- Tyrghast, on 04/07/2008, -0/+7Meh, don't really care what this guy thinks since his article reads like what a twelve year-old would write.
- heyiquit, on 04/07/2008, -0/+2I agree. He used to so many sodding expletives that I couldn't tell what the sod he was talking about.
- Petrushka72, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2Also missed this one -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_(1983_video ...
Somehow, judging from the writing style, I expect the author wasn't born when that game was popular. - turicollura, on 04/14/2008, -0/+0Some new music for vintage games

- Varney, on 04/07/2008, -0/+10It was based on Episodes I-III and didn't "suck."
- funkymonkey01, on 04/07/2008, -2/+23Revenge of The Sith was good.
- LordByr0n, on 04/07/2008, -1/+3Well, at least the vs was.
- InfamousAtheist, on 04/07/2008, -1/+2Yeah the jedi vs. jedi was ***** awesome... I'm still waiting for an expanded version of something similar, but the FPS dominance of the game market right now means I get to keep waiting :-(
- magicbullets, on 04/07/2008, -3/+16You missed out The Undressing of Princess Leia for the N64, which was a true joy. Teras Kasi UTTERLY sucked, so good call.
- XombieRobot, on 04/08/2008, -1/+1Dude, I can't believe you remembered that! So long ago. You must of REALLY liked that 32 bit hotness
- benjorino, on 04/08/2008, -0/+164 bit, hence the name.
- LeePeyton, on 04/08/2008, -0/+0technically two 32 bits emulating 64...... so everyone wins.....YAY!
Oh and what Leia undressing? Just to the metal bikini? LOL
- LeePeyton, on 04/08/2008, -0/+0technically two 32 bits emulating 64...... so everyone wins.....YAY!
- benjorino, on 04/08/2008, -0/+164 bit, hence the name.
- TheBEAST205, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1Teras Kasi was just stupid, I mean Princes Leia had a ***** white lightsaber, and she wasn't a Jedi.
- XombieRobot, on 04/08/2008, -1/+1Dude, I can't believe you remembered that! So long ago. You must of REALLY liked that 32 bit hotness
- Khael, on 04/07/2008, -1/+53KotOR 1 & 2 were my favorites by far. Looking forward to KotOR 3.
- crowbar77, on 04/07/2008, -1/+14Yeah i still thought kotor 2 was decent, even if it wasnt done by bioware. Still imo didnt compare to the first one though.
- ElPachuco, on 04/07/2008, -1/+2The gameplay may not have been AS fun, but I have to say I thought the story was way better than KOTOR I, which of course is saying a lot. It was like a very well done tragic film, i totally loved KOTOR 2.
I still think that the KOTOR games are better than any Star Wars movie.- Ramble, on 04/07/2008, -0/+4I'll have to agree with that. I've played both quite a few times and KOTOR II sucked me in with a good story (much to my detriment).
- bagboyrebel, on 04/07/2008, -0/+1KOTOR II had a good story but the ending was terrible.
- ElPachuco, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2I loved the ending, 'cause it left me with so many questions(in a good way), and I was thinking about it way after playing it.
Which I guess to some people, they might not like.
- ElPachuco, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2I loved the ending, 'cause it left me with so many questions(in a good way), and I was thinking about it way after playing it.
- Recluse, on 04/08/2008, -0/+3I agree KOTOR II had one of the best stories of any game in quite a while. Even though it was broken in a lot of ways I still enjoyed it much more the KOTOR I.
- ElPachuco, on 04/07/2008, -1/+2The gameplay may not have been AS fun, but I have to say I thought the story was way better than KOTOR I, which of course is saying a lot. It was like a very well done tragic film, i totally loved KOTOR 2.
- funknjunk, on 04/07/2008, -1/+3I hope they don't make it into a mmo.
- Recluse, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1That was just a rumor. If they're smart they won't. I personally will never buy another lucas arts product ever again if they make it a MMO.
- XombieRobot, on 04/08/2008, -1/+1When does KOTOR 3 come out?
- crowbar77, on 04/07/2008, -1/+14Yeah i still thought kotor 2 was decent, even if it wasnt done by bioware. Still imo didnt compare to the first one though.
- Vonkhan, on 04/07/2008, -5/+32SWG : the Titanic of MMORPGs
- Enasni1212, on 04/07/2008, -1/+9That is a surprisingly apt analogy... well done
- illt, on 04/07/2008, -2/+7some of the most fun i've had was in SWG. It was a great player driven economy/community.
The combat patch ruined it, and it was buggy and incomplete when it first came out, but it will always be a gem in my mind.- ikrit2006, on 04/08/2008, -1/+1Tombstone: "Here lies SWG, Launch - NGU"
- Judacious, on 04/07/2008, -0/+4I miss my Jedi
- merper, on 04/07/2008, -1/+2Making a Star Wars MMORPG based on the timeline of the original films was a bad idea. Face it, most people want to be jedi, and once you start fighting back against what the users want, the results won't be good.
- unorginalityftw, on 04/07/2008, -0/+4Wasn't it good, and then Sony Online got a hold of it and everything went to the *****?
- bagboyrebel, on 04/07/2008, -0/+3sony online was always in charge. it went downhill when sony started listening to the very vocal minority.
- unorginalityftw, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2Oh. I didn't play, so I have very little knowledge of the downfall. A friend of mine did say a few guys quit working for them because they were appalled though.
- bagboyrebel, on 04/07/2008, -0/+3sony online was always in charge. it went downhill when sony started listening to the very vocal minority.
- AzMegladon, on 04/07/2008, -1/+4Yet another reason to be pissed at Sony for ***** up one of the best games ever made, Star Wars Galaxies : (
- DarkAlchemist, on 04/08/2008, -1/+1"Unsinkable" they said. They were wrong.
- Mpwns, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1i wish i could sue sony over that game wasted so many hours to get jedi and i was lucky to get it after 14 classes and at that time there was so few of us it was fun running around with them always on the run and hiding trying to level at the same time and breaking my keyboard after my 1st death knowing i only had 2 more chances to fill in all the boxes.
- mu0p, on 04/09/2008, -0/+1i reminisce daily about my star wars galaxies times daily.
I miss becoming a pistoleer/dancer. I miss getting to interact with people across the galaxy, having my own cruiser, having the best armor around, and also
having time to own a shop all at the same time.
SWG was the reason i quit playing mmorpgs, i would be in my living room about 100 pounds heavier if i didnt quit that game
- YME1280, on 04/07/2008, -3/+25Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga ... pretty good. And I'm an insane critic when it comes to videogames.
- Misanthrope, on 04/08/2008, -0/+3Clearly!
You should write reviews for some websites.
"Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga ... pretty good"
I'd pay a subscription fee for commentary like that.
//Woke up on the wrong side of the bed- eviljolly, on 04/09/2008, -0/+1o.O jeez man cut him some slack. He did say he was insane after all...
- Misanthrope, on 04/08/2008, -0/+3Clearly!
- navster15, on 04/07/2008, -0/+12I am saddened by the omission of Republic Commando on the best list, but otherwise there are some pretty good picks. BTW, am I the only person to have never beaten Rogue Squadron? That game kicked my ass on the later missions.
- NoMiT, on 04/07/2008, -1/+2Those later missions were crazy hard to get golds on. The battle of Mom Calamari with the V-wings and the World Devestators was one of the harder ones if i remember correctly.
- merper, on 04/07/2008, -1/+3The V-wings was pretty easy I thought, but the one before was a pain. I could never get gold on it.
- endlessoul, on 04/07/2008, -0/+2Republic Commando was good, but who hasn't spent hours on Battlefront I and II?
- danielce, on 04/07/2008, -11/+4dugg for "Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahaha haha hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha ha ha! Annnnnd breathe."
- Vaughanabe13, on 04/07/2008, -3/+20I don't care what they say, when I was little I thought Masters of Teras Kasi was ***** AWESOME. Well ok, only if you use one of the characters that has a light saber, otherwise it blew.
- Radan, on 04/07/2008, -0/+6You could play as freakin' Darth Vader AND Bobba Fett and could completely beat the crap out of Luke whiny mcSkywalker. Such game cannot be made out of anything but pure awesomeness. While I wasn't really a hardcore beat-em'-up-gamer at that age, I thought that game seriously owned.
- Eslamicolt3, on 04/07/2008, -0/+5Haha my thoughts exactly. When I was like, 10, that game ***** OWNED. It used to take me about 20 tries but when you threw the lightsaber with a full energy bar...
- trackerbishop, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2THOK was awesome!
- ireland88, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2Seriously I loved that game when younger, it might suck now but it was great back in the day.
- reaper527, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1i loved that game too, and boba fett wasn't bad. mara jade was the best character by far though.
- wontstoptalking, on 04/07/2008, -3/+9Force Unleashed FTW!!!
- twertyto, on 04/07/2008, -0/+38X-wing and Tie Fighter for the PC was amazing. I have fond memories of spending hours working my config.sys and autoexec.bat files to get the game to run properly.
If those games came out today (15 years after their original release) on any of the current consoles they would be hugely popular.- demonemo, on 04/07/2008, -0/+5I second that. I wish Lucasarts would follow up on these titles with current versions. I'd love to do the Clone Wars and especially the Battle over Coruscant in that type of game.
- dafragsta, on 04/07/2008, -0/+12My memories of trying to get >540KB free main memory after sound drivers and mouse driver are NOT fond.
/mumbles and holds left shift.- spyrochaete, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1QEMM ftw! And hacking config.sys to make multiboot scenarios for when you needed lost of free base RAM. Those were the days.
- Radan, on 04/07/2008, -0/+11Seriously, there's a distinct lack of Tie Fighter/X-wing kind of games on the market today. What happened to them? I still got my joystick from the X-wing vs. Tie Fighter time and haven't used it since then. I want to fly around in space in first person (no the N64 games doesn't count) and blow up bloody rebel scum!
Also, does anyone else kind of miss the old "cartoony" cut scenes that Lucas Arts used in their games? They just had that kind of feeling that no other game has today.- Blakestone, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1I loved all those old Lucas Arts games like that. Full Throttle, DIG, The X-wing games. They all had the cartoon cut scenes. Back in those days... the company could do no wrong. Then the old man lost his marbles.
- chris8535, on 04/07/2008, -0/+6The death of this genre was truely unfortunate... the X and TIE series didn't rely on graphics, just really solid gameplay, and awesome writing. The stories were what got me to really fall in live with Tie Fighter.
While the genre is pretty much dead now, at least it went out with one of the best contributions to it, Freespace 1 & 2 which faithfully replicated the excitment and writing of the Tie and X series which inspired them. - ClunkClunk, on 04/08/2008, -0/+3Thankfully, X-Wing: Alliance, the last of the series, still works under XP and will work with USB joysticks. I pull it out every year or so, and spend a week beating it and feeling better about the world.
- jedikv, on 04/09/2008, -0/+1I am still waiting for the next good Sci-Fi ''Flight Sim'' to hook me like X-wing/TIE fighter/xvt and Alliance had on me. I bought X2 and X3 but they aint the same.
- fanboydcs, on 04/07/2008, -0/+75what about Shadows of the Empire for N64? That game was amazing. The battle where you had to throw the tow rope around the AT AT was alot of fun..
- SeanJohn1802, on 04/07/2008, -1/+3Shadows of the Empire FTMFW!!!!!!!!!!!
- Namaha, on 04/07/2008, -0/+7Seriously, this list is terrible if it didn't include Shadows of the Empire.
I think I'll go download that ROM now in fact. - tdogg241, on 04/07/2008, -3/+3The Hoth Battle was great, but the rest of the game was only so-so, as far as I remember.
- dema, on 04/07/2008, -0/+6Apparently you don't remember real well.
- Tyrghast, on 04/07/2008, -0/+2It was a long game with a rich story and atmosphere. It was excellent.
- k3nt, on 04/07/2008, -0/+3I was pretty surprised it was left off as well.
Who remembers the battle with IG-88? You could hear his pulse cannon start up in the distance and get suddenly be right in your ear, heh. Talk about freaky. =D - potofgravy, on 04/07/2008, -8/+1Shadows of the Empire was an awful game. I can't believe this guy thought Rogue Squadron was worse than it.
- bagboyrebel, on 04/07/2008, -0/+4definitely my favorite Star Wars game.
- asskicker32, on 04/08/2008, -2/+1Yeah, that part where you fly the snowspeeder and take out the ATATs. That was the beginning and the end of that game. Level 1 sucked and levels 3-9 sucked.
- XombieRobot, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1Shadows of the Empire was freaking awesome because it was really challenging and the levels were huge! When you actually kicked ass and beat the level you felt accomplished.
- Scaryclouds, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1I loved the final battle. Even with out any cross hairs I would still take part in the space battle and blow the living hell out of the tie fighters and those other fighter types, also took some X-wings down but ***** them.
- soot, on 04/07/2008, -0/+22What, no Shadows of the Empire? For shame.
- awgg919, on 04/07/2008, -0/+2agreed
- nephilimx, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1The roadrash inspired races were so fun back then
- MrMendieta, on 04/07/2008, -6/+0everything that has star wars in it should be good
- ADA531, on 04/07/2008, -7/+52Star Wars: Battlefront FTW!!!
- tbenathan, on 04/07/2008, -5/+9Battlefront and Battlefront II were BY FAR the best Star Wars game ever made - and I'm saying this as a huge Dark Forces/X-Wing fan. When they create/release Battlefront III for the next-gen systems, I'll be the first one on line.
- spankr, on 04/07/2008, -1/+2Exept for the piss-poor Lucasarts support for bug-fixes in the PC versions... I agree.
- Tyrghast, on 04/07/2008, -2/+4Re-skin Battlefield 1942 for star wars? Points for originality! KOTOR is the best SW game ever made you uncultured swine.
- jedikv, on 04/09/2008, -0/+1Actually there was already a SW mod for BF1942 called Galactic Conquest. Aside from some bugs it was pretty enjoyable.
Battlefront 1 and 2 are both awesome.
- jedikv, on 04/09/2008, -0/+1Actually there was already a SW mod for BF1942 called Galactic Conquest. Aside from some bugs it was pretty enjoyable.
- ireland88, on 04/08/2008, -1/+1Battle front is amazing but KOTOR dose come first.
- yohnstoppable, on 04/07/2008, -4/+3I'm convinced the only reason anyone liked battlefront was because it was a star wars game. The actual gameplay was crap for an fps, and the maps were horribly balanced. I don't give a ***** who is supposed to win a battle, because it isn't fun to DESTROY the opposing side and still lose.
- Negyxo, on 04/07/2008, -8/+4Hate to have to tell you. But that game was no good.
- revenz, on 04/07/2008, -0/+10"Masters of Teras Kasi"? i actually thought that was a really good game, throwing your light saber at your enemies was cool, and had a decent amount of unlockables.
- warispeace21, on 04/07/2008, -1/+3It's actually pretty fun when you learn the combos. And playing as Darth Vader never gets old. Only game I know of with Mara Jade, too.
- theandy1, on 04/07/2008, -0/+1Mysteries of the Sith, the dark forces 2 jedi knight expansion has her. btw i also thought teras kasi was alright.
- mablung, on 04/07/2008, -3/+1I played it with friends JUST because it was star wars... but lets be honest the controls were HORRENDOUS!
- Yeknom, on 04/07/2008, -1/+2Yeah I remember playing it on my friends playstation when I was 10. I always thought it was fun, but a bit confusing. Boba Fett pwnd all.
- Lunarbunny, on 04/07/2008, -0/+1I don't know that I'd call it great...but I did enjoy it when I played it, I didn't find it as one of the worst...
- swicepick, on 04/07/2008, -0/+1The combos were ridiculously complicated. That aside, the ability to fight hand-to-hand as a Tusken Raider (named "Hoar" nonetheless) or as a Gamorrean Guard was sweet. The costume unlockables were sweet though.
- warispeace21, on 04/07/2008, -1/+3It's actually pretty fun when you learn the combos. And playing as Darth Vader never gets old. Only game I know of with Mara Jade, too.
- ckup619, on 04/07/2008, -0/+22i actually had fun playing SWG before the devs ruined it, plus Masters of Teras kasi wasn't anywhere close to being the worst. and what about Yoda Stories?!?!?!?!
- XHashmeerX, on 04/07/2008, -1/+2If anyone can tell me how to get Yoda Stories working on my Vista box, I will gladly send some money over your way. Message me, please.
- estvir, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1"All I've ever had to do to play Yoda Stories on 2000/XP/2003/Vista is to replace the wavemix32.dll file with an updated version"
I found that on a forum, also, there's an XP patch available. If I find my Yoda Stories CD I'll see if I can get it working on my Vista install.
- estvir, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1"All I've ever had to do to play Yoda Stories on 2000/XP/2003/Vista is to replace the wavemix32.dll file with an updated version"
- jedikv, on 04/09/2008, -0/+1Yoda stories was bloody good - distracted me from whatever work i had to do
- XHashmeerX, on 04/07/2008, -1/+2If anyone can tell me how to get Yoda Stories working on my Vista box, I will gladly send some money over your way. Message me, please.
- ninjan, on 04/07/2008, -0/+10I had some fun with Shadows of the empire (N64)
- BigBR, on 04/07/2008, -1/+11I know most people hate it, but I really liked Jedi Power Battles for the PS1
- crashingechelon, on 04/07/2008, -0/+3That game was awesome, I didn't think most people hated it. Back in the day it was one of the better Star Wars games released. I was always waiting on a sequel to come out, so I guess we'll never get one.
- doyoulikeworms, on 04/07/2008, -0/+1I loved the game too, after a while.
Unfortunately, for some reason I was convinced that this was a Star Wars version of Super Smash Bros. I desperately wanted to fill the void Smash Bros had left in my life each afternoon as I left my friend's N64 to go home to my lonely PS1. - MightyLime, on 04/07/2008, -0/+1To be honest, I was half-expecting to see it on this list; that was a really cool game. Perhaps more at home in a Top 10 though.
- exscind, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1The Dreamcast version rules.
- praisethelard, on 06/06/2008, -0/+1I had that and Episode 1 for my PS1. I really enjoyed the Episode 1 game as a kid. I don't know why, but that game had massive replay value for me. I remember this part where you have to jump this gap in Naboo to reach the city area and after you jumped it some people would start running up to the building you had to exit to reach the city, but always ended up getting shot by droids. I constantly tried to make it to them before they were shot.
- GregLoire, on 04/07/2008, -0/+2I'm guessing they never played the on-foot missions in Rebel Strike... Rogue Squadron and Rogue Leader were great, but ugh.
- ToTiredToCare, on 04/07/2008, -2/+7No Empire at War on the Top 5 Best = useless list.
- Lonecow, on 04/07/2008, -1/+4Am I the only one who had trouble reading that article? The way the guy wrote it was disjointed.
But I agree with the list. - MrBogard, on 04/07/2008, -2/+20They had me up until the SWG bashing. SWG *was* one of the best MMORPG's ever developed. It's been mishandled by SOE from day one, and downgraded into a different game all together, but it was still something special in its day. Galaxies is essentially the only Ultima Online 2 we'll ever see, and brought all of Ultima's goodness into a 3D realm that was beautifully designed. From it's free and open job system to the massive player communities found all over the galaxy, it was UO refined.. todays MMORPG's pale in comparison.
- flangepiece, on 04/07/2008, -1/+7I don't know if it's just nostalgia making me click the little 'thumbs up' or what, but you're absolutely bang-on there.
- neverender, on 04/07/2008, -1/+8Agreed 100% And the bashing in the article is completely wrong and horribly biased. SWG had the best crafting system in any MMO ever.
- Motopsycho832, on 04/07/2008, -0/+7i can remember being depressed for a good week when that game went under, you are completely right, a fantastic game before it took an unbelievable nose dive, even just traveling around in the terrain kept me occupied for hours
- AzMegladon, on 04/07/2008, -0/+7I have had my best memories ever playing SWg. I have yet to match the fun i had doing corvettes and attacking outpost, even if you were not into PVp, being part of a city wide attack is something no other game can even come close too, and then there was the space side of it, now im pissed again they ***** up my ggame.......
- ikrit2006, on 04/08/2008, -0/+4http://www.swgprecu.com
- MrBogard, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1I wish there were pre-cu servers actually up and running.. and populated. People have done it for UO, so I hope the community makes it happen.
- Mpwns, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2sony should just open up pre-cu servers and everyone will come back and more gives WoW players a chance to see what a real mmo's used to be like in a setting they already know about. miss my master dancer/master teri-kasi it was so fun dueliing people who thought i had no skills.
- Langolas, on 04/08/2008, -1/+1SWG was ***** 9 months before it came out when I was play testing it, it was ***** 6 months before it came out, ***** 3 months before, buggy as hell when released but it had potential... then that dreadful patch TRASHED what it could of been later on.
The game had mad potential to be amazing if things had been tweaked right...
Suck my dick SOE. - PhilMoskowitz, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2It totally deserves being on that list. It's the biggest disappointment to the MMO community simply because it had, and still has some of the best ideas in the genre. Their crafting system has never been approached. It was nearly perfect. SOE raped, murdered then buried that title.
- spmyke, on 04/07/2008, -0/+29LucasArts really should make a new X-Wing combat simulator.
- NoMiT, on 04/07/2008, -0/+7Damn right
- dafragsta, on 04/07/2008, -1/+7X-Wing vs TIE Fighter was cool, but that was like 12 years ago. It barely lived long enough to get GLide support.
- Dustmuffins, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2The Genre of flight sims has been so empty the last few years =(
I want something to use my saitek evo on!
- crowbar77, on 04/07/2008, -0/+6I actually liked Obi wan, at least the mutliplayer.
- Hoogs, on 04/09/2008, -0/+1Agreed, I had a blast playing it with friends.
- mortinmaxwell, on 04/07/2008, -0/+9Star Wars Rebellion was one of my favorites that wasn't on the list.
- Popninety, on 04/07/2008, -0/+5Yes! i thought i was the only one!
- dualboy24, on 04/07/2008, -0/+1Man that game rocked, I was surprised at the number of poor reviews it got. I am already getting a copy off tpb http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3584040/Star_Wars_Rebe ...
- asskicker32, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2THE EMPIRE HAS BESTED US!
- iamtheninja, on 04/07/2008, -0/+1RIP SWG. so sad. why did i love such a crappy game for so long?
- doyoulikeworms, on 04/07/2008, -0/+2Unknown, but it's probably the same reason why people lose their lives over the work-at-home-simulator that is WoW.
- metalgel, on 04/07/2008, -3/+6I'm still subscribed to SWG... I can't let it go.
I really hope Bioware makes an SWG2 and gives us all what we once had. I'm tired of this WoW mmorpg clone life cycle. I also wish Nintendo and co would get their minds out of their asses and make a Pokemon MMORPG. that would be, dare I say EPIC!- Motopsycho832, on 04/07/2008, -0/+2hey, that's a damn good idea...epic indeed
- CrankyHippo, on 04/07/2008, -0/+2I just recently started playing the X-wing Tie Figher series again after 10 years, and its a blast to play and it would be so cool if they did a remake with today's graphics and massive multiplayer battles.
- Ninjapope, on 04/07/2008, -3/+4No Pod Racer love?
- Flamancot, on 04/07/2008, -2/+3die.....
- asskicker32, on 04/08/2008, -2/+2no
- BevansDesign, on 04/08/2008, -1/+1Yes, those were cool games. And they did mention it in the story.
- IpwnZnoobs, on 04/07/2008, -8/+1Every time I look theres a new star wars story on the front page.
I'm not a big fan. - ApokalypseNow, on 04/07/2008, -0/+1I gotta ask - did anyone else play Star Wars: Rebellion (Supremacy in the UK), and what did you think of it? I enjoyed it personally, but it got stale after a few weeks.
- NoMiT, on 04/07/2008, -0/+1I played more Rebellion than I would like to admit..... the only problem i had with the game is the 3d space sim couldn't handle large amounts of ships and slowed down when you had 500 ship fleets........
- dualboy24, on 04/07/2008, -0/+1Yeah, that was back 10 years ago now, I am downloading a copy now :) I bet it will fly on a modern pc.
- Flamancot, on 04/07/2008, -0/+1I loved that game... sometimes I still play it on the olllddd desktop. Yeah, the 3d sim sucked ass - but no matter. I loved everything else about that game. Truly a gem.
- asskicker32, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1I love it and I play it to this day.
- coopa, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1A friend of mine had it here in the UK. I spent ages afterwards trying to find a copy.

- Bullsnot, on 04/07/2008, -1/+6Republic commando was short but a great game. If you weren't a halo fan, Battlefront and BF2 were the multiplayer reason to get an original xbox. Empire at war for the PC kept my son entertained for a while.
- kss42, on 04/07/2008, -0/+5I'd put the Rogue Squadron games at #1. That video brought back some great memories - the Jedi Starfighter was kind of cheap, but tremendously fun to fly.
"Excellent job! They are breaking off!"- CrankyHippo, on 04/07/2008, -1/+2I had forgotten about that game, i spent so many hours trying to beat certain levels
- sg7791, on 04/07/2008, -0/+1The Starfighter series was my favorite. Somehow every Star Wars game has a backstory that is crucial to the movies' plots. But they're always canon and they never contradict. It's incredible.
- H0tKarl, on 04/07/2008, -0/+4What about Empire for the 2600?
- dafragsta, on 04/07/2008, -0/+3I'm pretty sure I had all the 2600 Star Wars games. I remember you'd take damage in your snow speeder and you had to land in a clearing on the ground to "repair" your ship. Ever play Jedi Knight Arena where you basically played a weird "don't flinch" game with the paddles and that training ball from ANH shooting sparks at a shield that both dueling Jedi had? I even had Death Star Battle which failed to deliver any of the coolness of the arcade game, but it was pretty fun.
- Adamesq, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1Empire could get lame, but dafragsta is right, SW: Jedi Arena was really bizarre and probably one of the worst SW games to date. At least it made use of the paddle controllers.
- Theod48, on 04/07/2008, -1/+4forgot Jedi knight II !!!
- CalcProgrammer1, on 04/07/2008, -2/+1Jedi Knight III (Jedi Academy) was better in my opinion, because it had better multiplayer and a lot more mods. I like that game (used to host my own server and made a few maps) for it's great online play. Single player mode, I have to agree, was better in JK2 than 3.
- spyrochaete, on 04/08/2008, -1/+2I can't believe I had to scroll this far down the screen for someone to mention Jedi Academy. I keep feeling compelled to reinstall and play that game from start to finish. Except for the one level where you lose your lightsaber it's the only weapon I ever use. The acrobatics and strategy involved in duelling dark jedi was like ballet.
- Hoogs, on 04/09/2008, -0/+1Jedi Outcast was better IMO. I logged so many hours on multiplayer in that game against bots and friends.

- Popninety, on 04/07/2008, -1/+7Rebellion FTW!!!
- Flamancot, on 04/07/2008, -0/+1YEs!
- NoMiT, on 04/07/2008, -1/+30Buried for Heresy.
Rebel Assault I and II were amazing. Anyone who disagrees and buries me obviously did not play the games.- CrimsonBlur, on 04/07/2008, -0/+11Yeah I had the same thought. Rebel Assault II was really awesome. I remember when it came out I was the only one of my friends with a computer fast enough to play it at full resolution, it was awesome.
The plot and acting in Rebel Assault II was actually pretty damn good, and the special effects were almost Hollywood quality.
Playing those games isn't any more "lame" than playing any other kind of on-rails shooter, I don't see why the author thinks that's such a terrible format. Sure, today those kinds of shooters are out of style because you don't have as much freedom, but at the time it wasn't that odd.- jawagas, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2Hell Yes! Rebel assault was a fun game, though not good by any stretch.
- dustinmacdonald, on 04/07/2008, -0/+2+100… the use of FMV was excellent. Rebel Assault II offers a more engaging experience than any other game I've played.
- chris8535, on 04/07/2008, -0/+2Dugg
Rail shooters maybe be somewhat flawed for a premise, yet Rebel Assault I & II made them work. The original Rebel Assault was the game that introduced me to computer gaming. - doyoulikeworms, on 04/07/2008, -0/+3I loved Rebel Assault I and II! Cloaked tie fighter = awesome sexy sauce.
- doughboy334, on 04/07/2008, -0/+3Rebel Assault 1 and 2 was fun! I played those when I was 5 yrs old. Brings back memories.
- Flamancot, on 04/07/2008, -0/+1Seriously man, both games ruled. Memories.......
- Langolas, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1Awesome games, my buddy and I took turns playing to beat them and all the Xwing/tiefighter games growing up.
- ThetaDot, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1Never played Rebel Assault 1 but my memories of II are great....
- slackerbox, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1Yeah! I loved Rebel Assault 1! 2 was good, although the cut scenes got pretty cheesy. The MST3K cheat with the funny subtitles was awesome!
- CrimsonBlur, on 04/07/2008, -0/+11Yeah I had the same thought. Rebel Assault II was really awesome. I remember when it came out I was the only one of my friends with a computer fast enough to play it at full resolution, it was awesome.
- spankr, on 04/07/2008, -1/+1Lego Star Wars II (maybe the first one too), and Battlefront I-II (except for the fact that Lucasarts abandoned them and left users playing betas as the final releases...)
- Slybri, on 04/07/2008, -0/+5I spent years playing the X-wing sims. I used to love setting up bot matches and just blowing up tie-fighters for hours on end. The force feedback controller would even lurch forward when you jumped into hyperspace. I still play x-wing alliance now and then. One of the best PC games of all time. Dark Forces as well.
Too bad Lucas Arts will never make a new one...especially not for the PC. It's all mindless third person hack 'n slash console games now.- psi0nicgh0st, on 04/08/2008, -0/+0I was in an XWA clan for like 3 yrs, was kick ass, lol
- Evolutuon, on 04/07/2008, -1/+3SWG, how you disappointed me so. ***** Smedly.
- bwdd, on 04/07/2008, -1/+3Rebel Assault was awesome!
I guess my opinion at five years old doesn't count much, but still! - UtopiaInTheSky, on 04/07/2008, -0/+15Are you kidding? The Phantom Menace game was awesome!
- bagboyrebel, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2I have to agree, I had fun playing the phantom menace game.
- greatmunizzle, on 04/07/2008, -1/+4WAIT WAIT WAIT! Yoda stories is not on the list. I had this game for pc when i was like ***** 10 and it was the sickest ***** game ever.
- mrThefter, on 04/07/2008, -0/+2lol...
I also had Indiana Jone's Desktop Adventures. Same thing, except with you know who.- jedikv, on 04/09/2008, -0/+1who?
/sarcasm
- jedikv, on 04/09/2008, -0/+1who?
- socketman, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1Awesome game
- mrThefter, on 04/07/2008, -0/+2lol...
- INDOAZZ, on 04/07/2008, -0/+4Bounty Hunter was one of the best except for all of its confusing Controls. Other wise I thought that game was kind of cool...
- rgon, on 04/07/2008, -1/+4I can't be the only one that actually liked the Phantom Menace for PS1.
- reaper527, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1i liked it, but i was also relatively young when it came out.
- SilverBlade2k, on 04/07/2008, -7/+2I tried KOTOR...To me it was the worst game I have ever played. Every 2 steps "OPPONENT"..got really annoying. Yes I know you can disable that but you shouldn't have to. Also, it takes SO long to get anywhere or do anything. And..fights sequences were like watching a movie. You had very little control.
The sound on the game must of been messed up or something. Watching fight sequences, all I heard was "Take that!"..no blaster sounds or lightsaber swinging sounds. Took the fun right out of it..
To be honest, I was BORED trying to play this 'game'. I *tried* to like it.- InSectWar, on 04/07/2008, -1/+3KOTOR...The worst game you've ever played? To each his own and all that but seriously... wow. That game was amazing, story and gameplay wise, the combat system yeah i guess it didn't give full arcadeish control but it still was quite well done i thought. Have you tried Mass Effect? I think its like the new KOTOR (in style) but it doesnt have the same dice rolling combat system. Its an excellent game.
- bagboyrebel, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2really? I loved KOTOR, and I usually don't like RPGs. I can see your point about the combat being slow, but it's much more active than most turn based combat systems.
- malechite, on 04/07/2008, -0/+5Teras Kasi was fun (it was kind of bad, yes...but i had a decent time playing it with my friends)
what i REALLY would like to see is Lucasarts making a NEW Star Wars fighting Game... think capcom vs SNK or something with basically a TON of characters from the entire saga... (and hopefully good game mechanics)
Then you could do like Old Obi-Wan vs Young Obi-Wan, or Anakin versus Vader, or Qui-gon versus Boba-Fett, Xizor versus Maul, etc
Basically the ability to pick anyone at any time in the star wars universe versus someone else... That would be an amazing game. - danqueca, on 04/07/2008, -0/+5I didn't know there were as many Star Wars games, i for one, liked Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds.
- drafhk, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1I thought that was an amazing game as well.
- MrSketch, on 04/07/2008, -0/+1Am I the only one here who liked Force Commander?
