- Heaiser, on 04/14/2008, -1/+39Wow, I never realized I had so many rare games. Guess I'm glad I was an rpg lover when I was younger. Although, now that I know they are valuable I'm even less inclined to sell them.
- theaceoffire, on 04/14/2008, -0/+29Anyone remember Megaman Legends (1 & 2)?
They got a bum rap from a lot of fans, but they rocked.
^_^ First 3d game I played with enemy lockon, upgradeable/creatable weapons, AND the ability to kick pigs and turn evil. - Nobi-Wan, on 04/14/2008, -0/+25You only need two things.
1) A PSP with custom firmware
2) Google - dansmeek, on 04/14/2008, -0/+17the fact that final fantasy and persona are on that list is proof enough that sony needs to release these games on the PSN store. I am very disappointed they didn't release FFVII when FFVII Crisis Core came out. It forced me to play an 'illegal' version on my PSP. Well it didn't really force me too, but I really wanted to play that game. And I was not going to pay a ridiculous price for a game that old, that sold that many copies.
- jjgames, on 04/14/2008, -0/+17I love Tactics Ogre and I wish Persona was cheaper. I really, really want to play that game.
- joehobbes, on 04/14/2008, -5/+20Forget the PSP -- ePSXe, baby!
- quaxon, on 04/14/2008, -4/+16what kind of idiot ***** wrote this *****?
"Even thought it eventually because one of the most recommended RPGs on the Playstation..." what????????????????
dont people take a second to proof read their ***** anymore? - jjgames, on 04/14/2008, -0/+11I wish I had been more into RPG's when I was young. Now that I am, it is hard to find some of these classic games.
- Sairgem, on 04/14/2008, -3/+13Nobody pays attention when they're having fun playing guitar hero. People like you seem to completely miss the point of the GH games. Their point is to have fun. Nobody plays the game thinking "boy this makes me look cool, it's like playing a real guitar!"
Go be a douche somewhere else. - minnymoo, on 04/14/2008, -2/+12the idiot ***** your mom.
- joehobbes, on 04/14/2008, -1/+10Yeah, I'm surprised they haven't made a new one yet. I really enjoyed the series.
- racketboy, on 04/14/2008, -2/+10The same could be said for the Virtual Console and XBLA.
We are starting to see some releases like Rez and Ikaruga show up on XBLA at least.
But there are so many games out there that have prices driven up forcing hardcore gamers to pony up a lot of cash if they want to play it legally. - Lixie, on 04/14/2008, -0/+7Because that game has been re-released on XBLA, PSN, and as an unlockable on the PSP Castlevania, the value has gone down. One of the things that makes these games expensive is that people not only want to own them, but play them as well. If people can play them elsewhere, and for far cheaper, then all that's left is people who want to own just for the sake of owning it, which is a much smaller audience.
- schizogony, on 04/14/2008, -0/+7STOP ARGUING!
- coheedcollapse, on 04/14/2008, -1/+8I own the original FF7 as well as Suikoden II, although I'd never think of selling them just for nostalgia's sake.
- cstyles1200, on 04/14/2008, -0/+7in america, morons have internet access.
- racketboy, on 04/14/2008, -0/+6I believe it was only released in Japan and sells for about $50-$60
- NathanielJ, on 04/14/2008, -0/+6FF7 is worth whatever people are willing to pay for it.
- mryokai, on 04/14/2008, -0/+6I remember when I manged to find a sealed copy of Vib Ribbon on ebay, and ended up paying £40 for it
Then my sister sold it at a car boot sale without telling me. Still sealed. For £3 ;_; - bobbothegrayson, on 04/14/2008, -3/+9mirror attempt: http://www.duggmirror.com
- joehobbes, on 04/14/2008, -0/+5Wow -- good thing you sold it.
A sealed copy went for a little over $250, but most complete copies go for about $35 now
http://search-completed.ebay.com/Dragon-Ball-GT-Fi ... - mywhitenoise, on 04/14/2008, -2/+7No Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout? I bought that in like 1998 and sold it on ebay for $300 back then, I can only imagine how much it makes 10 years later.
- inactive, on 04/14/2008, -1/+6The Lunar games are amazing.
- greeniemeani, on 04/14/2008, -0/+5I wonder how many copies of Final Fantasy VII were released. I am sure there were a lot. If it still sells for 90-100$ on Ebay, it just shows how ***** awesome that game is.
- joehobbes, on 04/14/2008, -0/+5Who wants learning games?!
;) - psychotron, on 04/14/2008, -0/+5Syphon Filter is without a doubt one of the most underrated games out there. Sure, it is a poor man's Metal Gear but it was not without it's merits. Great game.
The ones for the PSP are also some of the best PSP games. - matt0r, on 04/14/2008, -0/+5suikoden2 is one the best games ever made
no amount of money would get me to sell it - Nobi-Wan, on 04/14/2008, -4/+9I don't know... I think I prefer playing those games anywhere I want as opposed to having to sit in front of my computer.
- edzilla, on 04/14/2008, -0/+5no
- Nobi-Wan, on 04/14/2008, -0/+4Is it rare?
- rhesusattack, on 04/14/2008, -2/+6A guy I lived with a couple of years ago had that damn Brigandine game. He would sit and play it for hours, while I itched to play Guitar Hero. Seriously, what a boring-ass game.
- joehobbes, on 04/14/2008, -0/+4I'm assuming you're referring to the Lightspan Learning Adventure mentioned in the comment above?
- hazard99, on 04/14/2008, -2/+6Neither Persona 1 nor Persona 2 work on custom firmware... Tatics Ogre does though.
http://www.gamerspress.com/index.php?title=PSX_on_ - timusca, on 04/14/2008, -0/+4Do it... I just sold it and got $100 off my PS3.
- Mullinsmcd, on 04/14/2008, -0/+4Suikoden 2 was definitely the series' highlight. Its too bad we will most likely never see it again here in the states whether the original as a downloadable title or in a remake form.
- Evolutuon, on 04/14/2008, -0/+3What? No Star Ocean: The Second Story?
- KMartSheriff, on 04/14/2008, -0/+3a link to ebay, which asks me to sign in? Using a fake url name? Um...
- cachemoney, on 04/14/2008, -1/+4I just realized I have FFIV black label. JACKPOT
- lemonbomb, on 04/14/2008, -0/+3I have both of them and still play them every now and then. Some of the best RPG's i have ever played.
- JohnnyRad, on 04/14/2008, -3/+6...maybe the computer is sitting in front of you?
- Nekiruhs, on 04/14/2008, -0/+3I still own both of them. They were great games. I loved kicking pigs! The same with the can trick where you kicked it into the store and got 1000 Zenny, but went evil. I never beat Legends 1 because of a stupid move dieing at the last second (Cloaked instead of used the invincibility thing). I still play Legends 2 a little bit in my emulator, even though I have a ps1 still. Good times, good times.
- LogicBomB, on 04/14/2008, -0/+3I played the demo of that game so many times it's not even funny. Had NO idea it was that rare until I looked into getting it a few years back. I doubt it's gotten cheaper with age.
- timusca, on 04/14/2008, -0/+3I just sold Final Fantasy 7 for $91 on eBay. Had no idea Intelligent Qube was worth so much too... but its so damn good, I'm tempted to keep it.
- Elranzer, on 04/14/2008, -0/+3"boy this makes me look cool, it's like playing a real guitar!"
Sadly, I know lots of people who play Guitar Hero for that very reason. They also wear shell necklaces and popped-collar shirts. - Donoram, on 04/14/2008, -0/+3Nice! Like a lot of other people in this comment thread apparently, I have a lot of these in my own collection! We were definitely the lucky generation that grew up at just the right time for these.
- lotrtrotk, on 04/14/2008, -0/+3Now this makes me even MORE pissed off at my brother who years ago pawned my copy of FF7 for beer money.
I bought a 2nd copy a few months later, and the bastard pawned it again! - fyreboltx, on 04/14/2008, -0/+3I have all of the domestically released RPGs on that list... but I could care less about their value. Most of them are fantastic games. Overall a good list but Xenogears, Thousand Arms, and Star Ocean 2nd Story should be on there too.
- danwallace, on 04/15/2008, -0/+3I remember loving it.
- kingmanic, on 04/14/2008, -0/+3They're almost all RPG's. It's probably the limited prints they have vs the huge volume sports and adventure titles have. Plus story lines age better then Graphics and game play.I always notice that at EB or pawnshops of all kinds the used sports junk games outnumber used RPG's 100:1. They outnumber other genres games 5:1. I guess sports games are very disposable.
- driftwood07, on 04/14/2008, -0/+3damn me too man. i had this one really old ps1 demo disc with intelligent cube and a buncha stuff not worth playing. played that demo all the time. i can still hear the voice. PERRRRRRFECT!!!!
