    On another note, FFXII was probably the worst FF game I've played. It was a good RPG, but really failed to live up to final fantasy standards. The music, the gameplay, and the story all fell short of previous titles.

  • AsSubtleAsABrik, on 07/29/2008, -1/+18There were some aspects of FFX-2 I liked. I know many others might not agree, but I liked that there was only 3 characters and you never switched (granted they should have been a better three characters, but still). When I play a Final Fnatasy game, not matter what I always end up using only 3 characters the whole game and the others get left at levels in the mid-teens. So I kind of liked that.

    Actually the best idea was Final Fantasy IX, where the characters would get split up into two or three groups due to some plot point and the you play each group. Actually, now that I think about IX, was ***** great.

I know random encounters can be frustrating at time when you're only a few steps from that treasure chest, but I preferred the randomness of it all. The attacking from FFX-2 seemed like a great big ***** because all the characters and monsters ended up in a pile in the middle no matter what.

    Also, what makes the FF games for me is the magic systems and a wide variety of weapons/armor. I still think the Espers/Equipment learning of spells in FFVI and the materia linking from FFVII are some of the best ideas i've seen come out of the series.

    San Andreas is so much better than Vice City. Loved the idea of controlling gang turf, and being able to fly in a variety of planes and helicopters whenever you want.

    I also had more fun playing God of War I than part II.....maybe because pt1 was such a brand new experience for me.

  • pendrachken, on 07/29/2008, -4/+10EXACTLY requiem3. FF:XII just didn't FEEL like a Final Fantasy game.... I mean WTF no random battles, no turn based strategy, not even a good story ( well, I played it for about 12 hours.... maybe it got better after that? ). Personally I think they should have chucked the new "improved" battle system out the window, then they might have had a chance at not disappointing their fanbase ( you know the ones who have played from 1 - 10-2 ).

    Instead they seemed to want to grab people from their MMO. BAD SQUARE _no cookie_

    Now I won't even be purchasing 13 when it comes out untill after I get either a playable demo or better yet RENT the game first to see if it is playable.

  • urgeigh, on 07/29/2008, -0/+5NO, I am not a fanboy because A.) I played just about every racing title that came out for the PS2, so my opinion is my opinion. Secondly I don't even get what you say about your girlfriend "using other cars to turn as fast as possible" what does that mean? Are you implying that you could just fly through turns unrealistically, cus I think you need to go play the game again. The feel and the grip of the cars is still superior even to Forza 2. And not to mention the rally courses.. best racer ever made. ***** damage. You should actually try racing a car in real life some time and you'll see how amazing GT4 really is compared to anything. It's as close as I've seen a game come to real life driving, regardless of what else it may be missing, the driving is what counts and GT4 is still unrivaled.

Resort to personal attacks against a random person on the interwebs. I guess that means I win. I never said I "rallied" but I've definitely done my share of ***** around in the snow (and on the street) in Michigan, still never driven a performance AWD car in it though :( Typical online asshattery, "LOLZ Im gonna make a joke about living with his mom and question his car knowledge cus I can't carry out a reasonable debate about the actual topic at hand." Just because you work on a car doesn't mean you can drive. GT4 = best racer ever made. ***** damage. I mean who cares if your fake car gets beat up or not in a game, it's not like you actually have to fix it yourself.
