- KenSPT, on 12/27/2007, -26/+462Lucky bastard, I wanted a phone book for Christmas and got stuck with a lousy PS3 !!!
- ursername180, on 12/27/2007, -7/+416Yay! Text-based games!
- Mockylock, on 12/27/2007, -7/+351I had the same thing happen with my blow-up doll. When I opened it, it was actually a dead hooker.
- KnockoutNerd, on 12/27/2007, -31/+328It's Sony prototype of the PSPHONE.
- Falldog, on 12/27/2007, -8/+271Hmmm...
Step 1: Buy PS3
Step 2: Replace PS3 with random crap
Step 3: Complain
Step 4: Free PS3? - Dacvak, on 12/27/2007, -95/+270If I unwrapped a PS3 for Christmas but ended up with a phone book instead, I'm really not sure I'd be that disappointed...
- donnydarko, on 12/27/2007, -6/+125The Wii attracts cockroaches.... the xbox jams wifi...and the ps3 turns into a phonebook
- jeoncs, on 12/27/2007, -9/+126"You guys want to come over and play find the address?"
- Chirp08, on 12/27/2007, -8/+103bitch got PHOWNED!!!
- Jadey, on 12/27/2007, -3/+90My nephew got a phone book in a Wii box last year for xmas, only it was a joke done on purpose. Fortunately, my nephew has a great sense of humour and laughed his ass off at it.
- Shawn4168, on 12/27/2007, -5/+88Yet.
- sjbdallas, on 12/27/2007, -3/+81You have a point. How can they prove there wasn't a PS3 in the box? Kind of a difficult situation on both sides.
- jtbndy, on 12/27/2007, -24/+101Regardless on how the PS3 is performing right now, I would want a PS3 over a phonebook... and would be pissed if this happened to me.
- grapeape25, on 12/27/2007, -6/+69360 degrees would be the same direction you were going...
- rowmz, on 12/27/2007, -1/+63BONUS ROUND
- SavageBlackCat, on 12/27/2007, -2/+60360 degrees? That would put you right back in front of the Xbox 360. Buried for not being able to figure out simple geometry.
- Otto, on 12/27/2007, -0/+56The best solution would be for companies making items like these to include clear windows on the packaging so that you can see the product itself. If the box was easily inspected, nobody would be able to get away with that sort of crap.
- tbranham, on 12/27/2007, -4/+54Hey, he might be willing to trade...
- zeiben, on 12/27/2007, -3/+52Well good. Now he can call someone who cares.
- dotlizard, on 12/27/2007, -0/+49that's got to be the greatest sense of humor anywhere, ever.
- Velnich, on 12/27/2007, -2/+44you mean:
Step 1: Buy PS3
Step 2: Replace PS3 with random crap
Step 3: Call local ***** news station for "alibi"
Step 4: Complain
Step 5: Free PS3 - thanakar, on 12/27/2007, -2/+41Which is only the opinion of the people who bought the system. How do you PROVE there was a switch?
- merwin, on 12/27/2007, -2/+40Blu-Page?
- merwin, on 12/27/2007, -7/+44I would say a phonebook has better backward compatibility. I always see the same hundred thousand titles in each new version.
- rudy23, on 12/27/2007, -1/+38you failed at math didnt you
- Error601, on 12/27/2007, -4/+37In other shocking news...a shoplifter has been spotted at Kmart!
- hadak, on 12/27/2007, -3/+34Yeah, but does the phone book grill sammiches?
http://www.joystiq.com/2006/11/20/the-ps3-grill-co ... - rudy23, on 12/27/2007, -1/+31both of you are complete idiots
- saisumimen, on 12/27/2007, -1/+31You want a cookie?
- alex1432, on 12/27/2007, -4/+34Paypal me 400 dollars and I can hook you up with a phone book.
- GvnMcCld, on 12/27/2007, -0/+28I believe you mean, phwned.
- j3one, on 12/27/2007, -4/+32fail
- tendonut, on 12/27/2007, -1/+29You must not live in or near a big city Have you ever picked up a large phone book? Those things can weigh 10lbs easy. And if you are an uninformed parent, not noticing the difference between a phone book and a PS3 is not unheard of.
- magicaltrevor, on 12/27/2007, -0/+28Optimus Prime, your days are numbered.
- teh_spazz, on 12/27/2007, -0/+27obviously you care enough to read and write a reply.
- mataranka, on 12/27/2007, -2/+29i worked for o2 in ireland before moving to holland, and in one of the dublin stores someone returned an 80gb ipod, still in it original sellofane so a refund was given. As there was a shortage at xmas it was bought by a staff member for a present, only when they opened it there was a piece of wood in the box. Someone had carefully opened the wrapper, removed the ipod and resealed the box, very clever and made me laugh.
- merwin, on 12/27/2007, -0/+25Who can find the most J Smith's?!
- alexkorova, on 12/27/2007, -1/+25Wow, really? How old he is he? Even if I was like near 20, I would have a bit of a hard time laughing at that...
- WKUHilltopper, on 12/27/2007, -1/+25Would have been funnier had the thief marked the page for "customer complaints". Don't crooks have any imagination or a sense of humor anymore?
- inactive, on 12/27/2007, -5/+28I wasn't aware that common sense registered an account on Digg...
- Alphateam, on 12/27/2007, -1/+23So not only is EB selling open games as new they sell their open systems as new too....shocker
- chedabob, on 12/27/2007, -1/+23The 360 has a little flap on the side you can lift to see the serial number and manufacturing date.
- inactive, on 12/27/2007, -1/+22this is nothing, i have 3 phonebooks so imagine level of fun i'm having
- tendonut, on 12/27/2007, -1/+22***** like that is so incredibly rare. I would have taken it for granted also.
- CaptEnder, on 12/27/2007, -1/+21Fail geometry much?
- edwartica, on 12/27/2007, -0/+20Makes me long for the days of seeing "you have died of dysentary" on the screen.
- sadilak, on 12/27/2007, -6/+26Eitherways, I really dont see this being Sony's problem. It must be the gamestore's problem. Gamestop has ripped me countless number of times trying to package in Scratched DVDs in the game cases just because I dont opt for their replacement plan.
- micpat1818, on 12/27/2007, -1/+20Ahh... Reminds me of the good ol' fashion Infocom fun.
- ilves7, on 12/27/2007, -3/+22um. turning 360 degrees will make a full circle and have you facing the xbox, not facing away (you're thinking 180)
- CaptEnder, on 12/27/2007, -0/+19I will refresh before posting
