Will sliding into a wall dent a fender and rub against a tire, or will losing a body panel or spoiler change the aerodynamics. Sure, having the car appear damaged is one thing, but worthless unless it actually affects gameplay, in my opinion.

Nothing makes me cringe in dissatisfaction like seeing a car hit a side of a building or wall only to see it 'bounce' or recoil off of it. It's actually making me mad just thinking about it.

It's such a basic fundamental in designing a graphics engine with cars in it, and stupid car companies supposedly wanted video gamers to think that their car is indestructible after colliding with a steel wall at 80mph.
