But really there's a lot more interesting stuff than this coming out, like Little Big Planet, and Killzone might even be good (I'm giving it 50/50).

- zujik, on 04/13/2008, -0/+7That is why people are very interested to see how they do it. They have said they are trying to come up with ways to actually use 60 people in the gametypes and justify them rather then having a pissing contest to see who can host the most.
They know bigger matches (from PC game experiments) pretty much end up useless and people go for the smaller matches so they are trying a few cool sounding ideas. The key is will they pull it off? I am interested in the game and haven't really played much Resistance mulitplayer as I have a few other online games I play but I would definetly make time to give the multi a better shot if they pull off what they hope to. - notoneofus, on 04/13/2008, -0/+6It just means an undead Hale or a new POV character for future sequels.

- superkendall, on 04/13/2008, -0/+4I think 60 would be practical if you could put people in different tactical roles - I'm not just talking classes, I mean things like squad leaders and "generals" that are actually preforming really different tasks with different levels of information.
With 60 people though you have a lot of chance for total idiots to show up on your team and blow things at the squad level, there'd have to be some way for the "general" or squad leaders to nix people who were causing issues and be able to backfill quickly. - Zoids, on 04/13/2008, -0/+4You'd better stop gaming in general then: three incarnations of Halo for the 360, countless iterations of Mario for the Wii and sequels for just about everything on the PC.

The weapons were awesome and very innovative. If you have ever played a shooter with as creative a weapon selection as Resistance I would love to know what it is.
