- Cate320, on 05/21/2008, -4/+10I first was introduced to logic puzzles when I played Mario's Picross for the Game Boy way back in the day and have been addicted ever since.
If you love picture puzzles, I recommend this site: http://www.griddlers.net
it has tens of thousands of user created and submitted puzzles to solve. - wiirdo, on 05/21/2008, -1/+32I still can't figure out the ancient puzzle: Bra Hook
- saxreturns, on 05/21/2008, -0/+12Pull together and then pull outer hook away laterally.

- Djokuuskaj, on 05/21/2008, -3/+8x=.99999999999999999999
10x=9.99999999999999
9x=9
x=1
OH SHI-- lekahe, on 05/21/2008, -2/+5That is totally correct!
Good for you :)
I am a math teacher so I know! - jmpeagle, on 05/21/2008, -1/+5you forgot to indicate that those 9s are infinitely repeated after the decimal point so that is in fact wrong.
Here's another wrong proof:
a = b
a^2 = a*b
a^2-b^2 = a*b-b^2
(a+b)(a-b) = b(a-b)
(a+b) = b
a+a = a
2a = a
2 = 1- sullyz0r, on 05/21/2008, -1/+23Only Chuck Norris can divide by zero.
- jmpeagle, on 05/21/2008, -1/+3congrats on finding out why it was a complete ***** proof...thumbs up
- Djokuuskaj, on 05/21/2008, -9/+11. take someone else's idea
2. point out that other person made a mistake that everyone understands anyway
3. ???
4. profit- sassafras1232, on 05/21/2008, -3/+21. use a stale internet meme
2. criticize pertinent discussion
3. ???
4. get buried
- sassafras1232, on 05/21/2008, -3/+21. use a stale internet meme
- sullyz0r, on 05/21/2008, -1/+23Only Chuck Norris can divide by zero.
- twiztidsinz, on 05/21/2008, -0/+5how is that correct?
9x = 8.999~9991 - sullyz0r, on 05/21/2008, -0/+10You forgot the most important part of the proof that makes it obvious to non-believers...
x = .9999...
10x = 9.9999...
10x - x = 9.9999... - .9999...
9x = 9
x = 1
OH SHI-- tyywebb, on 05/21/2008, -0/+2Ahh, so basically all that's saying is .9999... = 1?
- Sabin, on 05/21/2008, -0/+4meh, close enough or can we get some calculus up in this place.
- dlinkwit27, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1x^2 = (x + x + x + x + ...) x times
Take the derivative of both sides.
2x = (1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + ...) x times = x via 1*x
2x=x
Divide by x
2=1- thebellmaster1x, on 05/21/2008, -0/+6Whoa-ho-ho, now, a function defined only for integers, continuous? I think not, good sir.
- finaldrumgod, on 05/21/2008, -0/+4If it is infinitely close to 1 it must be 1. it's kinda like this one:
1/3 = 0.333....
2 * 0.3333... = 0.6666...... and 2 * 1/3 = 2/3
3 * 0.3333... = 0.99999.... and 3 * 1/3 = 3/3
Well would you look at that!- Ultage, on 05/21/2008, -0/+0Best explanation...
- Matt2k, on 05/21/2008, -0/+5It's a limitation of our numbering system. 1/3 is impossible to write out in decimal. In base 3 it's simply .1. Similarly, other numbers that we write fine in decimal notation are impossible to write in other bases. Not a biggie.
- lekahe, on 05/21/2008, -2/+5That is totally correct!
- bobjewback, on 05/21/2008, -1/+11no tetris?
- psogle, on 05/21/2008, -4/+4I sat down and played with a few of these puzzles and I feel smarter, no joke
- ColonelTribune, on 05/21/2008, -0/+3Really? I'm sure there are plenty of people who would feel dumber after seeing these puzzles!
- DaviDTC, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1Add me to your list. Didn't look at the site long, but the couple I did look at hurt my head.
- ColonelTribune, on 05/21/2008, -0/+3Really? I'm sure there are plenty of people who would feel dumber after seeing these puzzles!

- Impeller, on 05/21/2008, -3/+18The Worlds Most Advanced Puzzle W E B S I T E... which collects the world's dullest puzzles...
- chrisbosh123, on 05/21/2008, -9/+17Okay, I'm probably going to get buried into hell for this, I THOUGHT DIGG WAS A NEWS SITE. I've been checking and checking, but no, not one single story about China's earthquake on front page since the event happend. I know i haven't submitted any becuase i don't have the power to make it go on front page. -sigh- I just wish digg would submit stories about the world and the major events that are happening in the world. When several tibets die, we had over 10 stories on the Front page, when over 40 000 chinese die in a horrible earth quake, we get 1. I know i'm going to get buried but o well, at least some people will have read this.
- Keshka, on 05/21/2008, -0/+0We're de-sensitised to what are seemingly abundant natural disasters?
- mithrasinvictus, on 05/21/2008, -0/+2I get global news from other sources. Nobody uses digg as their sole news source. What would be the added value of a frontpaged earthquake article unless it offers a new ange or new information? (if you added a link it might have helped your cause)
- DaHuuuuuudge, on 05/21/2008, -0/+5It's not: http://digg.com/about
- PhantomBantam, on 05/21/2008, -0/+2While I'm not really happy with digg recently (I'm sticking around for when groups comes out), I don't complain, though. What I do is filter out the subjects I don't like (such as entertainment, or mods) I suggest you do too, since you won't be getting much NEWS in the playable web games section.
- tyywebb, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1Include something about the HAARP conspiracy and I guarantee it would rocket to the front page.
- Elliottx, on 05/21/2008, -5/+3I know it's weird...but I ***** LOVE puzzles.
There's nothing like the feeling you get of watching your friends hate you when you finish a puzzle that took them hours to do in a few minutes ^-^ - Xezial, on 05/21/2008, -0/+7It's a good idea, but it needs better explanations, not just video tutorials. we see what happens, but i can't figure out why.
- actionscripted, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1I had to view the solution for Pic-a-Pix just to figure out what my goal was.
Are these designed so that figuring out what to do is part of the puzzle?
- actionscripted, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1I had to view the solution for Pic-a-Pix just to figure out what my goal was.
- schafdawg, on 05/21/2008, -1/+1Similar puzzles with applets to play online: www.nikoli.com
- innocentsinner, on 05/21/2008, -1/+9The site is pretty cool, but damn, half of these posts sound like shills.
- histoplasmosis, on 05/21/2008, -0/+3Most of these post are shills they are even saying identical things. I think diggs text verification has been hacked.
- 8BitGaming, on 05/21/2008, -1/+299/99 Picarats
- deadapostle, on 05/21/2008, -0/+4For a site that has a lot of diggs, this place actually sucks pretty badly. I'd almost think that there may be some kind of conspiracy trying to make diggers believe that conceptis isn't actually one of the crappiest puzzle site on the internet.
- am520dj, on 05/21/2008, -1/+0Superior puzzle site:
http://www.welovepuzzles.com - skyfox2k, on 05/21/2008, -0/+3I just did the colour picture one that was supposed to be hard.
I copied the picture they provided.
Take THAT Einstein! - deose, on 05/21/2008, -0/+3For ages 6 and above.... Thanks. That makes me feel a whole lot better.
- Gorzki, on 05/21/2008, -0/+4It's mostly just picross puzzles. Good game for the DS, crappy flash implementation.
- mlalena, on 05/21/2008, -0/+0Yes, all of those posts have to be fake. 10 puzzles that include Battleship, Connect the dots, Sudoku???
Try http://www.dailyscroggle.com/ for a good word puzzle. - phishneslo, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1i like puzzles... dont get me wrong... but why are are these called "advanced" puzzles? you print them out.
- bodyslam911, on 05/21/2008, -2/+2Great site
- encrypteduser, on 05/21/2008, -1/+1I thought the ISIS was the hardest puzzle?

- Mason11987, on 05/24/2008, -0/+2third night in a row with this site... so sad...
- MoeAlza, on 06/09/2008, -1/+0You can play even more flash web games for free at http://www.ArcadeToad.com !
- tramblings, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1The second puzzle is like Armor Picross 2.
http://flashburrito.com/game/76/ - stephenhacking, on 06/20/2008, -0/+2Battleship here was great.
- sharonella, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1Yeah - maybe a few are shills - but I took the time to become a free member & really perused the site. the SAMPLE puzzles available to "non-members" are the ones in the Puzzles section (and therefore show the solutions). If you become a free member you get the free weekly puzzles in "my conceptis" - various levels of difficulty. I'm not a fan of all that they offer (so far), but I like the sudoku variants and Love kakuro (cross sums).
