- DigitalHippie73, on 08/15/2008, -3/+19Wow, just as boring and repetitive as the original!
- KatoHamatsu, on 08/14/2008, -0/+15There goes the rest of my afternoon.
- TreatsTheBear, on 08/15/2008, -0/+14Is it just me, or is the playable part redundant? What would a non-playable web game be?
- TribalCouncil, on 08/14/2008, -0/+12Cool physics for flash, but weird action with the auto-fire.
- dcd722, on 08/14/2008, -0/+11The music makes me want to grab some glowsticks
- ligyron, on 08/15/2008, -1/+7You can't say old skool version and give a web address
- Nobiting, on 08/15/2008, -0/+4Its a mix of asteroids and geometry wars.
- sweatyyeti, on 08/15/2008, -0/+4The blue enemies are cheap.
- Kidtuf, on 08/15/2008, -1/+4This reminds me a lot of Geometry wars.
- carbanm, on 08/15/2008, -0/+3Hmm. looks like my plans for the weekend are postponed
- mayonnaiseparty, on 08/15/2008, -0/+3Those little blue things are *****! They aren't even fair! Nice game though, except for those cheating blue jobbies.
- inactive, on 08/15/2008, -0/+3goodbye Friday productivity.
awesome game. - pault107, on 08/15/2008, -0/+3I'll have some of the ***** he's been smoking.
- MrSidnet, on 08/15/2008, -0/+3Maybe one of those Mario Bros levels, that plays itself?
- TVarmy, on 08/15/2008, -0/+3Looks cool, but I'd have to download it, so this isn't the at work productivity buster I'm looking for.
- inactive, on 08/15/2008, -0/+2turn it off and use spacebar then.
- futureisours, on 08/17/2008, -0/+2Maybe if you could restart the level when the game is over with 0 points. I hate games where you play for 15 minutes die and have to start all over again.
- StigNordas, on 08/14/2008, -0/+2Very cool! Takes me back...
- franklymister, on 08/15/2008, -2/+4Geometry Wars reminds you a lot of old school vector games like Asteroids.
There, I fixed it for you. - ajsinclair, on 08/14/2008, -0/+2Very cool and addictive!
- mayonnaiseparty, on 08/15/2008, -0/+2dude, what? it's asteroids not eve online
- jamesmcm, on 08/15/2008, -0/+1There's a backwards/brake button. Makes it much too easy.
- Shaflugi, on 08/15/2008, -0/+1Or maybe one of those Sonic Adventure levels that plays themselves..
- clogmoney, on 08/15/2008, -0/+1I think I speak for every one here when i say...
Mother f**ck*inh peace of sh** bl** c*nt*n lightning throwing bas*a*d triangles..
On the plus side
High Score
7 Alan 153700 - Kidtuf, on 08/15/2008, -1/+2Nope, still reminds me of Geometry wars, mainly due to the spread shooting of the ship, and the varied blocks that chase/ shoot you. Asteroids has none of those.
- Shaflugi, on 08/15/2008, -0/+1That's what I thought, too. It's a nice change, though :P
- arcooke, on 08/15/2008, -0/+1Yeah those triangles ruined it for me.
I think my top score was like 5. I've always sucked at asteroids. - pault107, on 08/15/2008, -0/+1Nice use of particles and physics.
As a Flash game developer, games like this encourage me to better myself. Good stuff. - JudgeMonkey, on 08/15/2008, -0/+1Looks like someone forgot to log out of their account on a public computer.
- N01SE, on 08/15/2008, -0/+0The sound blows, I wouldn't have minded a little load time for some higher quality stereo sound.
- janeagatha, on 08/17/2008, -0/+0A fun game!
- TVarmy, on 08/15/2008, -1/+1So, it's like LiveCity, but actually real?
- Locnar, on 08/15/2008, -1/+1OMG I use to play this game when I was a kid!! GREAT DIGG!!
- blastone, on 08/16/2008, -0/+0Yeah you got to get them first as soon as you see them. They are evil little buggers
- stretch611, on 08/16/2008, -1/+1I thought that is was more boring than the original.
- billtoole, on 02/11/2009, -0/+0Another great game!
Also found some really good onces at http://www.turbojuegos.com and http://www.boxing-games.net - RandallBrown, on 08/15/2008, -2/+1Nice, I like it.
- infinityanant, on 08/15/2008, -3/+2that is a good thing to do
- 13373h4X0r, on 08/15/2008, -2/+1I like the fact that each asteroid has a "Hit Points" bar. I half expect an enemy healer UFO to restore the health of the hurt asteroids. Also, I find myself hoping to loot the asteroid corpses.
I think the notion of a ship "bouncing" off of an asteroid is hilarious. Sure, maybe that's how it will be when we master space travel and force fields, but it's still funny.
I guess I shouldn't get hung up on those issues. After all, the universe in this game has a weird topology such that things that leave one side reappear on the opposite side. It could be a view of a surface of a sphere... Hey, maybe our universe *is* like that, but on a huge scale. I never really understood the inflationary model of the universe -- such that things become further apart from each other over time. I remember an analogy involving dots on the surface of an inflating balloon, there the surface of the balloon represents our 3D space, and the dots represent material objects, but is it really the accepted view that our universe has a wrap-around effect (if you could race faster than the rate of expansion)? Maybe Asteroids had it right. Maybe we're due for a big fat UFO with horrible aim (thank goodness) and a tiny UFO which can make a direct hit in one or two shots (I fear the sight and sound of that little guy!). - Lunarbunny, on 08/15/2008, -2/+1I much prefer Echoes myself...turn up the bass if you have a subwoofer. Completely free if that concerns you as well.
http://binaryzoo.com/games/echoes/index.htm - r0b0, on 08/15/2008, -1/+1Its an asteroids and geometry wars mixed... Geometroids?
- N01SE, on 08/15/2008, -1/+0The sound blows, I wouldn't have minded a little load time for some higher quality stereo sound.
