At one point my hand slipped and the plate fell upside-down without resetting the timer. - wistar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1A bit related: A very interesting physical game (more accurately a challenge) is a rig an R/C modeler friend of mine built. He used two servos, X and Y, to control the orientaton of a flat, smooth, piece of plywood about 12" square attached to a ball joint centered underneath the panel and anchored to a table surface. He'd put a ball bearing on the panel and then, using the R/C radio, try to drive the ball around without it falling off the wood.
This is a bit like those Labyrinth marble mazes but damn, damn hard to keep that marble on the surface. He used it to train himself for R/C flying and to get used to the small latencies inherent in the system. - fani, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12703 - level 14
