Always take the advice of anyone unless it's the managing director who claims "growth is not sufficient", this can be ignored. Don't do any of the bad unethical stuff, don't cut down rainforests, and don't sack too many workers. The odd corruption here and there doesn't hurt, but it will eat into profits. Once a stable level has been reached, watch the cash pour in.

When the pasture gets really grungy, sell the land (the $ sign in the land menu) and let it sit unused for a while (5/10 minutes real time). Eventually, that area will turn green again, and then you can start raising cows there all over again.
