- Splizxer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11How this made it to the front page is beyond me, I think people who dugg this should be rounded up and shot.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6but what if they have paper??
- BullTaco, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7KRAMER & MICKEY: Rock, paper, scissors match.
MICKEY: All right, rock beats paper!
(Mickey smacks Kramer's hand for losing)
KRAMER: I thought paper covered rock?
MICKEY: Nah, rock flies right through paper.
KRAMER: What beats rock?
MICKEY: (looks at hand) Nothing beats rock.
KRAMER: All right, come on.
KRAMER & MICKEY: Rock, paper, scissors match.

- MrButthead, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4This is as stupid as playing War at a casino.
- crawfishsoul, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Rock paper scissors against a computer? WTF
The only reason you should ever roshambo is for shotgun, who gets the beers and who has to take the ugly sister for the team. Rock paper scissors is not a past-time. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4In the title description, "This is a cool Flash version of the playground classic. Why one would want to play it online is beyond me, but it's still worth checking out."
Why would someone take the time to create a digg they didn't even think was cool? - damndj, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Wow. Who knew RPS could be so much fun against a computer.
- aurrea, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3The guy on the skateboard keeps cheating...
- maorezer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1nice
- BasouKazuma, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I sense a pattern to how the opponent chooses their next hand. Each one has their own little pattern. I got up to round 7.
- razmig, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3or perhaps rocked.
- TheTankengine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This would be so much sweeter if they hooked it up so you just play a random person, then best 2-out-of-3 winner moves on to challenge the winner of some other random match. Or assign points, 3 for a win and 1 for a draw, and see who the ultimate champ is. When THAT flash game hits digg, let me know.
- Rooh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1stab them with scissors

Srsly. - bobbitt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I wrote a simple Rock/Paper/Scissors tool so you can resolve challenges with someone via e-mail and a web browser:
http://bobbitt.ca/rps/ - CrumpetUp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think this would be a good tool to teach kids about probability, as I expect that the computer chooses randomly.
- NotSoBright, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I'm getting pretty good at this. I've only practiced for a few days now and I'm already up to round 8 high score.
- Mu99ins, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3I had $500 dollars riding on one rock, scissors, paper. I was to either
buy a pick-up for $9,500 or $10,000. I won, and regret to this day
that I was a poor winner, afterward. I bragged to everyone on the job.
That's another issue. I stared straight into my opponents eye,
with the air of invincibility and confidence, I made a paper, and he was defeated.
Of course, that psychological gamesmanship has nothing to do with
the outcome, since it's random, but if you're going to play such a boring
game, you might as well milk it for everything you can. Just the opposite
is true for the skilled games such as cards, checkers or chess. Those
games call for subtleties in body and facial language, and you're better
off giving the opponent less input rather than more. - ironwolfe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I thought this was hilarious, and know a few guys that can beat you every time. It is a psychological game as much as anything. Playing a computer is likely to be random, but what I am interested in is if they programmed any kind of human pattern recognition. And if they did, can I anticipate it - yes it is stupid, but fun.
- oneniner, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Better make room on the ESPN schedule for RPS Championships...Maybe some time after the spelling bee?
- viet10, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Just as fun as in real life.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2that is weird, i just had to do a rock paper scissors game in my programming class. I wouldnt waste my time on it though
- LesterKing, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2Dude... wrong thread
