- Phyltre, on 10/12/2007, -15/+237Using my extensive videogaming skill, the way to win this game is obvious. Launch strikes until everyone is your enemy, then kill all your enemies.
Next flash game. - t3hCyborg, on 10/12/2007, -9/+158Haha, someone became a terrorist because I killed a dog.
- Thumper13, on 10/12/2007, -34/+102It gets easier the longer it goes on.
I think you are a little over dramatic about it. - berwiki, on 10/12/2007, -18/+81I accidentally left the game running after i created all terrorists when i went to lunch.
When I came back, everyone was a civilian again and the buildings were rebuilt.
So the message of this game is 'do nothing'?? I'm sorry, but that message sucks. - TomP, on 10/12/2007, -23/+84Urgh Shockwave
- cosmotron, on 10/12/2007, -18/+76Why the hell do people still use Shockwave? People should just switch to flash so all operating systems can run these games.

It's a sad state of our nation when for some people a web game is the most realistic depiction of the collateral damage of a current war. If this is what it takes, I guess it's better than nothing, but I somehow feel like the pictures and first hand accounts from the NYTimes, CNN and other sources give a better impression of the impact that this war is having. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -16/+65The solution is to use a bigger bomb. If everyones dead, they cant become terrorists!
- bshniper, on 10/12/2007, -5/+48Where's the nuke option? The bombs used are too small.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+39Other features not replicated by Flash include a much faster rendering engine, including hardware-accelerated 3D, blend modes for layered display of graphic assets and support for various network protocols, including Internet Relay Chat. Furthermore Shockwave's functionality can be extended with so-called "Xtras"
- picardo, on 10/12/2007, -24/+55It doesn't get easier, though, since it's not a game. The whole point is that every time you kill a civilian or a terrorist or accidentally destroy a building, a couple of civilians become terrorists, so that in the end everyone is a terrorist.
But the really odd (and maybe racist) thing is it tells you in the end everyone is going to be a terrorist.
There are still people who believe in nonviolent resistance, as opposed to chaos and terror, as the solution to conflicts in the world. And some of those people live in the Middle East. Sad to say that the game illustrates a point well, throwing missiles at terrorists lead to more grief and resistance, while oversimplifying the Muslims society and feeding a stereotype that Islam is a violent religion. - Raian, on 10/12/2007, -8/+38I would like to know how the poster is able to quantify the headline: "Most Heartbreaking Flash Game Ever"?
Sounds like someone needs a lesson in overstatements... - Battlecry, on 10/12/2007, -5/+34What I've learned from this game is to make everyone a terrorist and then kill whoever I want. Sounds like a plan.
- gforb, on 10/12/2007, -5/+31Dr. Evil says (in his Dr. Evil voice) :
The best strategy is to bomb the same location multiple times and rely and people's caring for each other to come running and while they are greiving to bomb again. It's so touching.
(pinkie) - nixonrichard, on 10/12/2007, -3/+29Um, they ran around on the screen . . . a screen that happened to also have cross hairs under MY control . . . that's why.
- baalthazar, on 10/12/2007, -5/+27this game kinda sucks... there are no hospitals to shoot at..
- nixonrichard, on 10/12/2007, -5/+27It's a lot like GTA2. I don't really know why that's hearbreaking. I thought we had agreed a long time ago that killing innocent people was fun as long as it's a video game . . . I just wish you could get "tank mode."
- icharus, on 10/12/2007, -6/+26This game is inaccurate... shouldn't they be blowing themselves up trying to cleanse one another?
- TheThirdWheel, on 10/12/2007, -7/+27I Won!
- crweaks23, on 10/12/2007, -3/+20it's not all that exaggerated... at least not the death toll. If this were more realistic, you would have the terrorist you created kill civilians, which in turn would spawn a rival terrorist organization. Those two terrorist organizations would kill civilians, and each other, but would hold you as the common enemy. Also, some of the civilians trotting around would actually be terrorists, and when they get near buildings, the buildings would explode, killing more civilians and creating more terrorists. So basically, once the terrorism starts (caused by the firing of the first missile), the cycle is sustained without your involvement.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19The lesson he took was from the "guide to successful digg titles against all odds"
- ZeroMP, on 10/12/2007, -4/+18Phyltre said: "Using my extensive videogaming skill, the way to win this game is obvious. Launch strikes until everyone is your enemy, then kill all your enemies.

Yes you are very close... Although the "game" states that it is not a game and cannot be won or lost I have found the solution very close to that stated by Phyltre.
As he said, shell away until all the people are the little black terrorist guys - then level all the buildings so no more guys can be produced. Now - if you are carefuly only to shoot when you can level a building and maximize your killing potentialities you can kill away until only the three little dogs are running around and no one else will be "born".
I sure do love killing.............. - DBiz, on 10/12/2007, -4/+18Buried as overdramatic.
- t3hCyborg, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15I love how inaccurate the missiles are. You can shoot near a group of terrorists and the builds all around them will be destroyed, the civilians will die, but the terrorists right next to them will run out.
...
But I'm sure that's how it in the real world... Terrorists with what seems to be force fields around them and all. - ZeroMP, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Obviously you are supposed to bomb away! Like any good game it gets more difficult the longer you play.
Pro Tip: There are WMDs hidden in the tall yellow building on Baka-Laka-Daka Street! - uttles, on 10/12/2007, -13/+22If you libs think this is really how we are waging the war on terror, then you are simply pathetic. This game was not thought provoking at all, it was almost comical when you realize that whoever made it and submitted it to digg was trying to get some anti-war peacenik message across, but they just came off looking like an ignorant fool.

for those blocked by proxy like myself ... - Sirocco, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11*deep rumbly voice* HEADSHOT!
- neuropsychguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8One problem I saw with the "simulation" was that you can't fire fast enough. You have to wait until the mourners turn into terrorists before you can resume.
Stupid "simulation." - KeyLimePie, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8I found Waldo
- ZeroG52, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9That doesn't support his side of the argument.........
- netwookiee, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10Seriously though, the real message of this game is this...
"If you become a terrorist, we are going to kill you."
- jegnyr, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10nice of them to dress like Terrorists and Civilians so I can tell a where to bomb. This game is so thought provoking and realistic it makes me cry.
- aahpandasrun, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10this would be a lot easier with a sniper rifle :P
- BPShirase, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8soo the point of the sim is to make everyone mujaheed? seems to be the only way to win, wait until they are all hadji, then it will be kosher to wipe the map clean.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8I guess those people should not have killed 3000 innocent Americans. According to the simulation, that created about 10000 American terrorists.
- paku, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7The only heartbreaking thing is that I can't kill everyone.
Where is the nuke button? - mikekeen, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Why are you censoring God? Is EVERYTHING a ***** swearword now?
- Sirocco, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Dammit, I can't fire fast enough. Either that, or I need a MOAB.
- LordStryker, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9Dammit, they dont have a scoring list to see how many Terrorists and Civilians I've killed. What a bummer.
- netwookiee, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7I can't wait to see this on Xbox Live Arcade!
- AWBoy666, on 10/12/2007, -12/+18So, according to this game, the solution to Iraq is to just kill everybody?
- ActiveMatx, on 10/12/2007, -11/+17I got a score of 250 on my first try!
- phogasmic, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6that game has a deep concept. What's scary about my reaction to it, was that the more terrorists I created the better I felt, because it was easier to kill them without killing civilians. Once the whole city was over run with terrorist I could drop bombs with impunity.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8From the site:
"Are your games biased?
Of course they are. We do not believe in objective journalism." - Cglass, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Damn, I hit some terrorists.
- ozziegt, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Well, actually I would say terrorists are probably better at evading attacks then civilians.
- warmonger48, on 10/12/2007, -5/+9We are still tribes people throwing rocks at each because our big invisible bearded friend in the sky is better than someone else's. Except the rocks are a lot bigger.
- FooShang, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6I can't kill people fast enough. You should be able to get up close and personal. You know, see more blood and stuff. Maybe scoop out eyeballs with a spoon and see all the blood and stuff. You should also be able to walk behind someone and goatpunch them in the back of the turban. Also, The women should be nude, cause everyone knows terrorist women are sluts.
- AssultMonkey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Damn, those kids are hard to hit.
