Logic Game
n.nfshost.com — Basically you have to work your way through this trying to work out the url of the next number. I've only managed to get up to number 25....Good Luck
- 1163 diggs
- digg it
- ivanbev, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6it's rather a mind screwup. 28 so far. I didn't submit it yesterday because I want to get to the end (wherever that is) before the digg effect kicks in! Fortunately it's a meagre website in terms of size.
- saferain3, on 10/12/2007, -8/+4lol...hello ivan...dam you for posting this on the intranet, you got me hooked and i'm stuck lol
- violentvinyl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+34Just a thought. Everyone should bury the answers, and digg the questions, this way people who get stuck can expand for spoilers.
- iggee85, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4err, is 10 supposed to be blank?
- ricksbots, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2When I figured out 10, I was pleased with myself
- masamunecyrus, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2I agree with violentvinyl.
- griz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2"Just a thought. Everyone should bury the answers, and digg the questions, this way people who get stuck can expand for spoilers."
But once you have read the answer, it is too late to know weather to bury it or digg it.
Guess you can do it if you are past that point, but for those of us who are stuck on "sept" that doesn't help much. - Ravyn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11yes what is the answer for sept? or a better clue
- RevEng, on 10/12/2007, -15/+0Think French.
- nabubuz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hmmm 28 you say?
I have reached 26 then entered the code for 27 and returned to 1.
Am I missing something? - gringuitica, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1@nabubuz: try eliminating the #?
- TheBigBoss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2how do you figure out ten?
- computerbynar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Here are spoilers up to level 21
http://www.wheedwacker.net/spoiler.html
- hoowahman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5im stuck on trying to figure out 14
- Conway, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2You figure out how to get to 14? Stuck there too. "13, unlucky..."
- TyCage, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1That's the one I'm currently stuck on as well.
- Exhumator, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That one's driving me crazy. I want to figure it out on my own, but I'm not getting anywhere.
Is the ellipsis ("...") significant? Am I supposed to be completing a phrase? Am I supposed to be getting the next part of a sequence? Am I trying to find out a common association that people have with the number 14 (of which I can't think of any, and neither can Wikipedia)?
So confused... - leszek, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1if you count the commas, there is 13 letters in "13, unlucky ..."
i don't know if it can help. - glc17, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1me too :(
- omatsei, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3Here's a hint: bingo callers.
- ldhertert, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2haha omatsei that was so obscure. thank you.
- krunchy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Shame I don't know bingo. I found something in wikipedia under "housie" but i can't figure out how to type it in.
- sohlemac, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I've tried every permutation of valentine's day I can think of with no success.
- gonephishin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Hah. Thanks for the hint. wikipedia's page on "13" helped me to an answer.
- glc17, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Wow that answer is obscure.
- sohlemac, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1D'oh, I got it now...
There I go overthinking again. - gringuitica, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I have also tried every variant of Valentines Day. Help, please!
- krunchy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4ugh I STILL don't get it.
- sohlemac, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1don't go on to 14's bingo call, just finish the call for 13.
the wikipedia page on 13(number) has it. - TheBarge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Well hold on. Ok I figured it out (thanks sohlemac), but isn't the point of the game to use the current clue to figure out the NEXT number?? I was focused on 14 since it was the next number.
- sohlemac, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I think the point is to figure out what the designer was thinking at the time.
- markperia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Im stuck here too. I dont know bingo either.
ahhh this one's hard - markperia, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1i got it! that was easy. I feel like a dumbass now.
- drewcare, on 10/12/2007, -15/+2I'm trying to complete it, and i'm getting pissed off...
i've tried
for some.html
... for some.html
for some..html
no go :( - masamunecyrus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4A vital hint on #13:
make sure if your answer has any spaces to replace the spaces with underscores. _ - DougTanner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8@drewcare
Add a "_". Was enjoying the game up until this point, but this riddle was stupid. - Shadowe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Very Small Hint. _ not spaces. This one got me for quite a while over this simple fact.
- jspath, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This is not really a logic game with a puzzle like that... it's more trivia.
- TotalTutorials, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1still can't get it. i get its 13 letters, but i've tried everything
unlucky_thirteen
unlucky_fourteen
lucky_fourteen
14_unlucky_fourteen
13_unlucky_thirteen
tons more, just post the answer please - DougTanner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Take Drew's hint and combine it with mine.
- TotalTutorials, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3thanks i got it, i feel dumb now
- loveandrockets, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5SInce I don't play BIngo I never would have figured that out except for coming here.
I tried "triskaidekaphobia" first. (I knew that before I knew ***** Bingo.) - Nu_Metalz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1for_some
- mikeypimp, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2What's after III.html on the page it displays "sept"
- TheBarge, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2Check out the french language.
- Neploxo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8That one's REALLY annoying to me, since I just hate those foppish French. As sept is a perfectly Latin root, I've been stuck trying every variation of octo/octa that I could think of. *Grrrr*!
- iakupo, on 10/12/2007, -7/+5I too am stuck at sept, shouldn't it be oct.html?!?
- TyCage, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11That one stumped me for a while also. Try a different language.
- epheterson, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1http://www.domesticat.net/misc/monthsdays.php
This doesn't seem to be as helpful as I thought it'd be.. :( - DangerMouse9, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0notice the s is not capitalized
- madcap, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1hahaha, way off...damn that's funny
- leszek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2can someone give me a hint for the following of "a_dozen" ? thx
- TyCage, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2What's like a dozen, but means 13? Maybe a different kind of dozen?
- leszek, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1hmm english is not my first language :(
- TyCage, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1I hate to just put the answer up since there isn't any spoiler protection.
Try Google for 13 and dozen. - leszek, on 10/12/2007, -28/+1thk a_bakers_dozen
- Exhumator, on 10/12/2007, -10/+2@leszek
Gah! Don't give away the answer! - masamunecyrus, on 10/12/2007, -9/+1I can't get it. I've tried:
baker
bakers
baker's
abakersdozen
abakerdozen
abaker'sdozen - kweee, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1You're on the right track. Follow the pattern of characters in the clue.
- lerinlas, on 10/12/2007, -15/+0a_bakers_dozen
- krunchy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I can't figure out how to get to 14. Any hints from people who have?
- phreel0aderr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2same here, stuck on 14
- angryed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1bah, still can't get 14.
- JJBagoose, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2This is kind of old but new.
I played something very similar to this about a year ago. Then I went crazy.
Greetings from my padded room typing on my keyboard made of Jelly.......... - solarwinds, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9Nice game, but it is not a logic puzzle. The thing is, you have to have knowledge of foreign languages (e.g. French for the number 8) and real logic puzzles wouldn't require knowledge of anything other than logic
The best example of a logic puzzle would be Su Doku- glc17, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Nah, not everyone uses the Arabic numbering system I believe.
- krunchy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Such as the Romans.
- zorikin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5You don't need to know the numbers to play sudoku. You could play it with colors or abstract shapes, as long as you knew the rules.
Also, does anyone want to give up a clue for un_ar_bymtheg? - omatsei, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Here's a hint: It's kinda similar to the answer for "sept".
- sohlemac, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1gaelic, eh. I can't really find a reference for that.
- wjw75, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1It's in Welsh.
- pmppk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@glc17
Sudoku really has nothing to do with numbers, so it is really still a good example of a universal logic puzzle. The puzzle would still be the same if the arabic numberals were any other combination of nine different symbols, colors, letters, etc.. - KnightWhoSaysNi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2here's a link to the answer:
http://www.sf.airnet.ne.jp/ts/language/number/traditional_welsh.html
- hockeygoon15, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1NINE?
- sohlemac, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1View the source
- Sniper, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1ysae s'ti
- datastorageguy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Did that and am trying every variation of the html code....still trying lol
- stubadub, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2BE PRECISE
- cmdrbond, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Try selecting the whole page (ctrl-a)
- naughtymonkey69, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2i'm stuck on 2, i think i better stick with games like quake
- arrow014, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Here's a similar website (though it gets harder a bit faster):
http://www.weffriddles.com/- raanan, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0i was the first to finish weffriddles :P
- BaconSquid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Smooth sailing until I ran into the clue on page thirteen. I'm sad now.
- hockeygoon15, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2196... wtf?
- ryke12, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0Take out a calculator. You don't need more info than that ^_^
- marchingsax15, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1I guess you are trying to get 15. Think squares....
- monkeymad2, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1i'm stuck on that too.
tried 961 - jakesavage, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0As with many of the others, think in terms of an analogy:
14 is to 196 as 15 is to ... - daggerhart, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1man.. thats lame.
i thought it was implying to us the 196-algorithm, so of course, i tried 887.html first.
- stevieB, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0On EIGHteen, next? Tried NINEteen but just got sent backwards?
- stevieB, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Figured it out... had to use another program...
- therus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0stuck on number 17.... what sort of a clue is:
1597
? - Boathouse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm stuck at eighteen aswell, any other hints?
- cblalock, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I'm baffled on 19
- bannus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1if you're using firefox:
view-source:http://n.nfshost.com/NINEteen.html - uacheesehead, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1this may or may not help:
http://web-sniffer.net/
:-D
- dharcha1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i cant get through 2
do you need a special browser? im using safari.- monkeymad2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1nope
- zorikin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2You are going to need your keyboard to get to 3.
- DuoPros, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I cant get past 3. Sounds silly, but im _really_ tired.
Anyone want to tell me the answer, i have a feeling its roman numerals.
Cheers. - qwickone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2make sure it's capitalized
- DuoPros, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1You mean IIII? Tried it, nothing.
- stubadub, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2Try typing it the way the number would appear in actual roman numerals.
As in IV
- marchingsax15, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1can someone give clues for 14?
- gonephishin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Look up above. There's a long discussion of it started by hoowahman
- mikesherov, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1forget that, I'm not smart enough to figure out 14 from the clues above.. someone just give the answer for 14 already.
- ryke12, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1This "Digg" riddle game is hard eh?
HINT: the answer's burried.
Honestly..... that shouldn't be so hard to figure out considering the "bury the answers so you aren't forced to see them!" comments higher up - markperia, on 10/12/2007, -12/+1bury this please. Contains hint for number 14 that will surely give away the answer.
math. number multiplied by itself.
- Derg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Can't take it. Im stuck at five.html
- doppenhe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1im still stuck on this one :-(
- bmoloney, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2stuck on 15 "..-._.._..-._-_._._-." wtf?! I don't know braille, and there doesn't appear to be a pattern to it!
- afex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2you're on the right track with braille, but its not braille.
- kweee, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3It's in ... code.
- bmoloney, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1got it! the "_" s put me off!
- thejpp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i get the idea, but can't figure out a working filename, any more clues?
- Shadowe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Use _ for spaces, and watch your last period.
- osxmusic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1
Any further clues on this one, I can't get past it...
- afex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1when i get what i think is the answer for 19, it resolves back to eighteen - is this supposed to happen? (don't tell me the answer, just if my browser is broken or something)
- stevieB, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0yes, that's how it works.
- afex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1got it. kickass.
- mnkyhwii, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i'm still stuck....is there a different page for 19 or do i need to go ahead to 20...tired fibonacci, tried various caps...any help?
- stevieB, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2You're going to need to look at the source. Now, finding it is the hard part...
- bakagaigin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm not sure if I did this the easiest way, but I ended up using IntelliTamper for 19.
- beriadan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1just disable javascripts
- chrisduffer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3eight?
- ErrandboyOfDoom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1yeah, seemed like it should be "oct.html"
(or octo or octa)...
but it isn't. - Severious, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6Aprently you need to know french to get 8, this is where I decided the 'game' was retarded. A logic game should not depend on specific knowledge. Very lame.
- Shadowe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3You don't need to know french...you just need to know babel fish. Also Using Search Engines is not cheating. (provided you are just looking for clues.)
http://babelfish.altavista.com/
- ErrandboyOfDoom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1yeah, seemed like it should be "oct.html"
- omatsei, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Can anybody give me a clue for "1597"?
- mildgreenfairy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0It's not a square so maybe there's something else mathematical at work here...
- omatsei, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2(Please bury this if you don't want any hints...)
I get that 1597 is a prime number, but what does that mean, exactly? 17 is a prime number too... but 1597 and 17 have no other relation that I can see. - mildgreenfairy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's not primes, but you're getting there.
- zorikin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The next prime after 1597 is 1601, but that's not the answer. Also, the 17th prime is 59, and 1597 is the 251st prime.
- mildgreenfairy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If it's not primes then maybe there's some other sequence at work
- phreel0aderr, on 10/12/2007, -9/+1digg down, mild was 1 minute ahead of me
- bewebste, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6This isn't the answer, but just in case anyone was interested to know, the 17th prime number is 59. So I thought that the answer for 18 would be the 18th prime number (61), surrounded by the number 18, giving 1618, but alas, that's not it. But I think that should count, dammit!
- scottie924, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0if 59 is the 17th prime, and the number is 1 59 7, but without the spaces, it looks like it would be 1*18th prime*8 Just aguess, I'm still stuck on 15 with the code.
- kweee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11597?
- ymmy, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1Look at the Fibonacci numbers
- 00T00, on 10/12/2007, -6/+0fibonacci? what has 1597 to do with 1-1-2-3-5-8-13-21?
- cblalock, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1they don't stop at 21...
- stevieB, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Care to give a clue how to get to 22?
- mildgreenfairy, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0Yup - look up fibonacci on Google and WORK IT OUT!
- masamunecyrus, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fibonacci_number

- Skas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3not having any luck getting to 10, i checked the source...and i'm not sure what i'm looking for >.
- thejpp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1me too
- alphamerik, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Capitalization matters.
- nofelix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I'm on 17 now, 1597, what does that mean? :(
- Th3_anOmoLy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Hint:
TV Show- Prison Break
Episode - Sleight of Hand
??? who was Micheal trying to locate ??? - cblalock, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Great hint
- markperia, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1hint: fibonacci sequence
so proud of myself when i got that
- Th3_anOmoLy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Hint:
- sbrown, on 10/12/2007, -31/+1i cant stand stupid people.. its french FFS (sept, huit)
- lbtori, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4you dont need to be mean. If you want to give a hint that's nice of you but not everyone knows how to count in french
- beaurich, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Not knowing a foreign language has nothing to do with inteligence for one.
Secondly, you sir, are a jerk. Everyone is having fun with this. If the stupid people make you that mad, leave!
Seems to me you may be the stupid one for staying. - bigmell, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0You ***** monkey. You know the answer because you know french. French is not common knowledge, so lack of it has no bearing on intellegence. Although intolerance and lack of understanding do imply stupidity
- elplaga, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Good game, I am stuck on 14... If you like this type of game you should try http://deathball.net/notpron/ . Its much harder but still fun and very addictive.
Just a warning though.. some of the pictures and language maybe a little graphic. You might not want to at work.- gdoulis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+013, unlucky ...
i'm clueless
i looked up 14 and it said that its a lucky number in south american countries. am i on the right track? - gringuitica, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1No you're not on the right track. An elipsis (...) can sometimes be an indicaiton that the end of the sentence is left up to you...
- gdoulis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+013, unlucky ...
- Romanito, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16I guess this site beats the '404 errors count' world record.
- Skas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i'm not quite there yet, but maybe try jpeg or other variations of picture file types?
- hfilby, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15Cool game! For anyone who, like me, had a little trouble understanding the rules, here's how it works:
(apologies to you geniuses who knew immediately what to do)
1. Begin at http://n.nfshost.com/1.html
2. The number 1 is displayed on the screen; this is your clue to get to level 2
3. Hint: the answer will be similar in format to the clue
4. To get to level 2, replace the "1" in http://n.nfshost.com/1.html with the "answer"
5. If you are stuck, click on the number 1 displayed on your screen and it will give you level 2
6. Look at the new url.
7. http://n.nfshost.com/_______.html
8. What would you put in the blank to get to level 3?- bassibanezacura, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Thanks for the help.
- epheterson, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Perdy please, I've looked up october in french and have tried anything I could think of, I want to contine this game but this is setting me back!! Any clues?
- cblalock, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1un, deux, trois, quatre, cinq, six, sept....
- FederalSource, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Remember, we are dealing with numbers, not months
- markperia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2dont look for "october" in french.
- epheterson, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I COULD KISS YOU! I was so set on months.. I didn't think of anything else. Batch 1 goes up to 29, two other batches bring it up to 50.
- cblalock, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6@epheterson
"I COULD KISS YOU!"
I'd rather you didn't. - epheterson, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Nevermind, that's for http://www.weffriddles.com/
- scottie924, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0you say batch one goes up to this. How do we get to Batch two?
- Billkamm, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1epherterson: don't lookup october in french, lookup sept in french
Does anyone know how high this goes? - markperia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1stuck on 18. Whenever i type NINEteen I get sent back to 18.
- markperia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1hint please?
- ldhertert, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1if you get sent back to 18, there must be a page that is doing the sending. otherwise you'd get a 404.
- sdaupleix, on 10/12/2007, -12/+0!!!!!!!!!! SPOILER for NINEteen !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Try to open the page in a text editor to look at the source... - Romanito, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If only it could not send you back ;)
- gringuitica, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You may have to disable something...
- kweee, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3YES! FINALLY DONE WITH YOU FORSAKEN STUPID CLUE OMG I HATE YOU EIGHteen.
- markperia, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1thats not fair, disabling that is so gay. hahaha I got it tho ;)
and yeah saving the page works too. - epheterson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Haha, that one made me smile :) So simple, yet so difficult.
- markperia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1hint please?
- LoneVVolf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Gah, can't get 28!
- endtime, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah I'm on 28 too...toughie.
Clue is: 28_has_feb
Maybe something to do with a leap year? 28_has_feb_in_leap_year and a couple variations didn't work. - endtime, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Oops I mean 29_has_feb_in_leap_year etc
- jakesavage, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Don't worry about the leap year aspect.
- endtime, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Well 29_has_none, 29_has_nothing, 29_has_no_month, etc don't seem to be working either...
- stevieB, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0me too, anyone? 29_has_all_months?...
- pcmacman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You're all trying to hard. The answer isnt as complicated as the others around this number.
- endtime, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3OK got it...now that's just ridiculous.
- shasbarg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0any hints on this one; or am i just missing something very obvious
- LittlemanTAMU, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Oh that was dumb...
- DangerMouse9, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0can someone give another hint on this please ;)
- ReaperUnreal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Don't know why, but I just can't figure it out!
- ReaperUnreal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wow.... ok think dumber than dumb.... simplest possible thing you could do.
- DangerMouse9, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've tried a bunch of different variations of 29_has_rest, 29_has_march, etc. am I even on the right path? Is 29 even in the url? I didn't have too many problems getting the rest, but this one is just annoying.
- notpace, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0How is it not "days"??????
- LacY, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Clearly I'm special, because NOTHING I'm trying is working here...
- Daveoh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Same, I am lost
- Daveoh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ok I got it...
Too many hard things to think simple - pdblahut, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I must be missing something too. I got this far - why can't I figure this one out?
- LacY, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Okay, I need some sort of direction... I get that it's simple, but...
- lippyjka, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's quite simple, and ignore people saying "forget the leap year aspect", it has something to do with it.
28_has_feb -> it basically means 28 days has febuary right? but is that true? - zouhair, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1HINT : Only February can have a different amount of days
- endtime, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah I'm on 28 too...toughie.
- maxpreusse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0any one post some help on 18 please? been stuck for a little while
- thejpp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very stuck on 15, trying to get to sixteen. I get the idea, but am failing msierabley to come up with an adresses that is not a collection of puncuation. Didn't think you could use full stops in a file name!
- aptmunich, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Well you can...
I was messed up because the conversion tool I googled uses a slightly different syntax.
The _ are just seperators while the . and - are part of the actual code.
You'll need to ignore the _ when converting.
- aptmunich, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Well you can...
- zumlin, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1you have to save http://n.nfshost.com/NINEteen.html and look at it
- wonkeythemonkey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Another way is to use a text-based web browser like lynx. That worked for me.
- stevieB, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Or just File>Open the URL in Notepad.
- maxpreusse, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1im still not getting it guys :S
- mnkyhwii, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1ok...i'm seeing that 18 is page 2 and 19 is page 1 but i've tried 3 and 0 combinations and syntax....can't get it...
- mnkyhwii, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0THANK GOD....finally got to 20. yay!
- LacY, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I still can't get it. :-(
- LacY, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1FINALLY!!! arg...
- lolage, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Or use view-source:url ?
- Moria, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0What do you do toget to 6? I thought it would be in binary but it doesn't seem to work..
The clue is 00000- maxpreusse, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0they are not "0"'s, they are "o"'s. count them, thats the clue
- 00T00, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0well, there are 5 o's at number 5. what could be the code for 6?
- ElectroBot, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Does 0 = o ?
The website creator does bend the rules for some of the clues.
- chilekillr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I can't figure out ten. It's just a blank screen,
- ElectroBot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Press Ctrl + A
- zumlin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1can't get to level 22, any hints?
- maxpreusse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0im stuck on the same one now, after about 30 minutes stuck on nineteen
- DangerMouse9, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0the hint is that the answer is in "English", so you don't need to be looking up any foreign languages if English is your native language.
- sharkkiller, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I am stuck on 19. Any other clues?
- nofelix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Got to 20, after looking at the source of 19. Now I don't know what to do with this image.
- mnkyhwii, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0look at the filename
- markperia, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1investigate the name of the picture.
- endtime, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Other than what the image looks like, what can you say about it?
- lbtori, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1tried twntn.html ,twntn.png, twnt1 etc.. am I on the right track at all?..
- Daveoh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1look at the letters that are missing in twenty (twnt)
A pattern
- aptmunich, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1un ar bymtheg - cool, I'm from there but didn't get this...
Thanks google!- vbrtrmn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1google it.
- davidlow, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1http://n.nfshost.com/NINEteen.html
- davidlow, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0The only way I know to check the source of THAT page was to post it here and then download.
- Romanito, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Also, you could have disabled what automatically gets you back
- markperia, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1no you'll have to disable something and youll be able to see it. It was a cheap shot at our logic tho.
EDIT: Romanito beat me to it, heh - sharkkiller, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I get that you have to disable something, but not sure what. I entered what showed up in the text editor, and that didn't work.
- achatt83, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0I win (for now). Thanks for an awesome quiz :-)
- afex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2no you haven't, that's just another clue for the next one...
- mwosh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2How the hell do you enter the answer to 13? I know it, just don't know the syntax. Makes it even more frustrating than finding the answer in the first place. I'll try to do this without spoiling anything, I've tried:
xx, xxxxxxx xxx xxxx
xx,_xxxxxxx_xxx_xxxx
xx,xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
You get the point.. any help?- stevieB, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2xxx_xxxx
- AlexApetrei, on 10/12/2007, -13/+1AAAaaaaa......
Ok, so this is a spoiler :
1 : Click => will give you 2
2 : type 3 in the url (instead of the 2) => will give you III
3 : it's IV ( not iv, stupid case sensitivity :( arrr ) => four
4 : type five => ooooo not 00000
5 : type oooooo => 110 ( binary )
6 : type 111 => sept (is french for seven - use translatinf program and get the french version of eight )
7 : huit => thingie ( read like an arab, or from right to left :) )
8 : enin => gives you NINE in black on a black bacground, so u'll have to use caps here
9 : in the page source => i think you figured out a pattern by now.
10: eeleeveen => this is too obvious to miss, tweelvee
11: a_dozen => this was debated here and the answer is burried it's a_bakers_dozen
12 : 13, unluky ... => i dont know what this is - therus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i'm stuck on 27... i just have a blank page, and 2 style sheets which have a slight difference of:
#bbabb
which means nothing to me!- therus, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0don't worry, we got it.
- wildleaf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I can get the same hints.
the stylesheet is "stylee.css" and there is an ID specified
#bbabb
which actually makes that part valid css. I am guessing that it is somethingto do with that class, or hex value, or whatever it should be called. I will continue banging my head against my desk til I find it out. - vickerto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm stuck here to. Does it have to do with converting #bbabb to decimal?
- shasbarg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hint: Sheep Code
- Fafnir43, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0OK, googling 'Sheep code' seems to return no useful references - I'm being stupid, but how exactly? What am I missing?
- gringuitica, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1think in 2s, not 10s
- kweee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1orziot_jiz. I realize that moving each letter ahead by five gives you twenty_one, but then I'd think orziot_orj would move ya to twenty_two. Hmm...
- sadain, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0if you take the letters in twenty_one, how many letters forward o you have to go to get to orziot_jiz...
- TotalTutorials, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2im in the same boad, i though orziot_orj would work, any hints?
- tetremo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0orziot_jiz, i cant figure it out
- naughtymonkey69, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1196...anyone else stuck on this?
- masamunecyrus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yup. Can't figure it out. Above they said a calculator is all we'll need, and think squares.
- naughtymonkey69, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1196 is the square of what number, then continue the sequence
- masamunecyrus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The answer is not 14 (196^1/2), not is it 19614, 14196, or 1414. 14 is not an even square...
GAH! Any more hints? I've been at this one for a good hour now. - masamunecyrus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Finally got it. Thank god. I feel dumb now.
- lexnaturalis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Think squares of numbers.
2^2 = 4
3^2 = 9
...
14^2 = ...? - chiller2002, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1nevermind. you got it.
