- cr4ft, on 10/11/2007, -0/+135Just told my roommate to play "this game" and find the finish line
- zzz@tkz, on 10/11/2007, -3/+98How many times have you came out of "hyper drive"?
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -7/+85It took me about 30 seconds to get used to the interface.
Imagine doing this while high. - edilclyde, on 10/11/2007, -0/+53his whole site is cool.. check this out... http://www.ertdfgcvb.ch/
- Slydevil01, on 10/11/2007, -1/+48This is the closest i'll ever get to being Superman :(:(:(
- cr4ft, on 10/11/2007, -10/+52Anyone else catch themselves flying backwards with no control?
- brundlefly76, on 10/11/2007, -2/+43In related news, some people still developing with Shockwave.
- Insert31990, on 10/11/2007, -0/+39Try flying at top speed and very quickly putting the speed to a little above zero, it feels remotely like coming out of hyper drive.
This is neat. - kilikogo, on 10/11/2007, -10/+45Hm. Not bad, needs work though.
- milkabadchoice, on 10/11/2007, -1/+23"Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads..."
- MrMidi, on 10/11/2007, -1/+21FYI: Left click and drag to adjust speed. Top of screen is full speed forward. Bottom of screen is full speed reverse. Let go of the left click and control the elevation by moving your mouse to the top and bottom of the screen. Turn going left and right.
I think this would be better with a dedicated light source and a bit mapped landscape underneath. - checkmate987, on 10/11/2007, -1/+20im sad that there is no Universal Shockwave :(
- SourWorm, on 10/11/2007, -0/+14Must be night ... trying turning on the flashlight?
- Aliarse, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13@sagags (#6666971)
Or linux. Unless you run firefox + shockwave setup via wine, but then its slow as hell. - cr4ft, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14Speaking of which, is there a screensaver of this?
- zzz@tkz, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14Lies and heresy.
- Loyaleagle, on 10/11/2007, -2/+14I think this is old, but very cool...
- sdpdt, on 10/11/2007, -2/+13Makes me feel like Nathan Petrelli.
- adventflux, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12I like it. Very calming, but I must be the only person who feels a sense of hopelessness when flying in clouds forever.
- Sagags, on 10/11/2007, -6/+15yea no clouds for us on a mac :-(
- endlessoul, on 10/11/2007, -2/+11I thought the same thing.
Then I died a little inside. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9Oh god... not Shockwave!
- loveddevol, on 10/11/2007, -2/+11weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

- ani-pockdotnet, on 10/11/2007, -5/+14The control mechanism of mouse up = faster and mouse down = slower reminds me of Dirt Bike - an old 2D (and later 3D) Motorcycle Simulation Game from the AOL days by Brad Quick.
- Prefection, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9Very well executed. Wish I could have something like it for a screen saver.
- MakutaBloodlust, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9WOW this is fun.
try it fullscreen...if you have Firefox, get the Full Fullscreen extension (it makes F11 remove all toolbars, even the one at the bottom).
And a cloud screensaver like this would be AWESOME! although it would have to be a random course, 'cause mouse movement is out. - TheAkolyte, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10If the guy would of moved the camera a little higher, added better camera controls, and added some sort of scifi country-scape to explore, THEN it would be truly awesome.
- xb00t, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8You need Adobe Shockwave to run it - http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi
- svenathon, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7No need to drag. It's on a grid, where you click on the screen determines your velocity.
- SonoIlPadrino, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7just so all you mac users know, it is possible to view this - I used Opera 9.10 for Mac. You wll need to download the shockwave player plug-in - this can only be done on Intel-based Macs running the browser in Rosetta emulation mode, and visit the link (http://www.ertdfgcvb.ch/p1/sky.html).
To run a browser in Rosetta:
1. Quit out of the browser.
2. Go to your Applications folder and control-click on the browser application bundle.
3. In the context menu that appears select Get Info.
4. Under the General heading of the Info dialog select "Open using Rosetta".
5. Close the Info dialog box.
This should work for you - it did for me. Hopefully, Adobe will release a version of Shockwave designed to run natively on Intel-based Macs. - Hootyea, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5You're both dumb for being zealots.
- Seifey, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Dugg and Bookmarked for next time I'm high.
- VTNick7, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4not bad fun to explore, but there needs to be more things to do.. like planes flying or the sun with lighting effects or a city or something
- CBTF, on 10/11/2007, -5/+8"it just works"
My ass. - peterwschlamp, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3did u guys find the hidden box???
- herrshuster, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3it's literally more than a year old
- elroyel1327, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Oh great! Now I have the theme music from Quantum Leap stuck in my head!
- Sagags, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4@someguy9
and duggmirror doesnt work for this either.
and for the records, dugg mirror doesnt work for flash/java and downloadable files - giid, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Works great until you want to exit full screen... I had to exit FF.
- specialK16, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2nah, we are everywhere.
- holyskeleton, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2it crashed my firefox :(
- LiberalsSuckAss, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2This serves to remind me how great of a platform Director really is for developing stuff for the web.
For all the penetration and power that Flash now has, there are just some things you can't do with Flash.
Maybe I'm just partial, because I've been using Director since version 4 in '95.
I can't wait for the new version Adobe's (supposedly) releasing later this year! We Lingo coders have been waiting a long time for some fresh action! - mrsmalkav, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2works in camino.
- PURDooM, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Because you aren't running an intel mac. It works for us if we run in PPC mode.
- np374, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I'm humming the Superman theme, while I'm doing this.
- AngelDragon, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I'm amazed at how well this renders on my browser. Flash content is usually very sluggish on Firefox, I guess shockwave and flash render differently.
Mac user too, PPC G4 1Ghz + - beeboy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Not bad, but not as good as this one... http://www.ertdfgcvb.ch/
I've just spent an enchanting hour there.
(Mentioned above by edilclyde) - sp89, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2please make a screen saver.
