  • arcooke, on 10/11/2007, -0/+18One of the better TD games I've played, that's for sure. Unfortunately it's too easy and too short (only 40 waves of enemies before it's over). Once you get several of those tier 3 red rocket launchers on the board, you're unstoppable.
  • merreborn, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13The fact that you have to register to even get on the scoreboard also means that 90% of people won't even bother to submit their scores. On one of the hard maps, only 22 people have even *submitted* scores to date.

    ...unless, you know, you're one of the first couple hundred people to even make it to the scoreboard. The game was just released. You'll be bumped from the top 10 within the hour.

    yeah, and just like star wars , they are still good.

    If you like them consider buying warcraft 3, there are a ton of better tds there. For flash though they are great. These are a cakewalk after beating element td on vhard, or even zoatar survivor.
    Hard desktop td is the only one that took more then 2 trys after conquering warcraft 3 element td on vhard :P

  • Megaten, on 10/11/2007, -5/+11I've only been playing this version for a few minutes now, but wow. I absolutely love it. I really like that there's more diversity (well, seemingly at this point) in the towers this time around. Plus the bonus points are spent on pretty neat upgrades...getting turrets within a certain point to do more damage or shoot at greater distances just seems cool. And the different color scheme is a nice change from the old ones he did.

    Love the graphic style too - reminds me of something Kenta Cho might do. Hopefully this thing is still fun after I've tried it out more.

If he put his games on his own site that didn't require registration in order to submit a score and had good message boards he could be making a good amount of money off of his games like the guy who made Desktop Tower Defense.

  • Juaquin, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3It's easiest just to build a bunch of the tier 2 blue (freeze) towers and one or two of the highest tier green/red/purple. If you have enough blue towers, you essentially just freeze everything in one place, so your other towers have as long as they want to take them out. Even if you only had one little green tower, with enough freeze towers the enemies would be there forever and so eventually get killed.

  • Enfenestrate, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Yeah, the game is far too easy to beat. I realize that stacking powerups is pretty standard with this sort of game, but it really makes the game very simple. A couple of missile towers with 100% or more damage increase really eat the enemies up.

    there were a few levels there where you barely get by. after a while the interest just gets crazy. i didnt have to get near as many purple towers as in your pic.

  • Yogizilla, on 02/08/2008, -0/+1While there are many sites like Candystand out there (ebaumsworld, for example), it's little gems like this that make it one of the best gaming "portals" out there. I love TD games and it's a big reason why I play tons of customs on Warcraft III. If you love tower defense, you should get yourself Starcraft or Warcraft III Battlechest with NO equivocation! Good work here, Dave! 8)
