I was using that smite every time I got enough energy to do so, and I still couldn't level up before the nuke. - Sawta, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3It seemed okay...for a wave or two...I realized that there were some major issues when it comes to leveling. Unless you kill the marines, there's no possible way to survive. I would imagine that if your pigeon holed within the first five minutes of the game, that it wouldn't magically change latter on.
I don't want to write the game off completely...it had the right CONCEPT at least...an advanced Tower Defense type game with a Starcraft theme...it sounds freaking amazing in theory but it would need some major re-tooling (First and for most, reducing or completely eliminating the ridiculous energy cost of using an introductory attack. About the last thing you want to do to the player is have them wait a long amount of time while he is still getting used to the basic game play elements.)
Anyway, I assume that this was some school project, or an early attempt at making a game, so I will stop my babbling. - orph3us, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I got to the battlecruiser level, but i couldnt kill it. it fires a big laser that explodes and takes damage twice. lame ! :( .. kill ghosts by scanning for them (usually top or very bottom) then use smite to kill them. get spores and use reveal to kill the wraiths before they get too close! Kinda fun, but I'm gonna go play the real thing now....
