Attractors Physics Game
thecleverest.com — Drag the circles and platforms to create paths for the rolling dots with trail, and watch the dots pull them into patterns. some can look pretty nice

- herrshuster, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16Many of these look like atomic structures, unsurprisingly

Bill Nye the Science Guy! - ub3rgeek, on 10/12/2007, -6/+3this game brought back horrid memories of the Bohr model and chem....
- tavisjohn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Beakman's World!!!
- Takteek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1T minus 7 seconds?
- Leav, on 10/12/2007, -27/+4so this game does..... nothing?
- GuyHitByTruck, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12It's not that it does nothing, it's just not terribly interactive. Personally, I still find it quite interesting.
- tidu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10I wish they added some more features, like maybe you could change the amount of particles, or the speed, or gravitational pull each object had.
- ydt89, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7I kinda like the simplicity to it .
- Twinny, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3its very interesting, its basically the circles have gravity which pulls the dots in and the platforms allow it to bounce off and continue on the path.
- MrSidnet, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Oh cool. Now I dont have to click the link. Thanks.
- night141, on 10/12/2007, -11/+6I lose!

- BlackCow, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Dynamic water? Not even modern video games can do that :-)
- JackHallows, on 10/12/2007, -13/+11Duplicate, I remember this hitting front page

Pretty much exactly the same thing, except for different colors and longer particles.- emFi, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1True - although simple physics is fun enough to play with again.
- 0o0Moylan0o0, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Well then it isnt a duplicate, it is just similar...
- flamingmb, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3got boring after a while. the dots should keep coming and coming, not stop when they dont fall through. that would make it interesting.
- ayeyen, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3This can't really be called a game. It's more like a toy, if anything.
Games have clear objectives and whatnot. This is... not like that.
(But I still digg it for being pretty freakin' cool.)- pixelmixer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1should just call it an experiment... I make lots of things with particle effects similar to this and that seems to be my most used description "Flash Experiments"
- t3hNinj4, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2It was more of a toy than a game, though it was fun to play around with the attractors for a couple of minutes.
This is a bit off topic, but I have to recommend a fun physics-related game I found the other day, called Armadillo Run. It plays a bit like a cross between the Incredible Machine and those old bridge building games, but with realistic physics. You have to get a basketball to a goal, and you can use bridges, pulleys, rope, springs and rockets to do it. There's a free demo at http://www.armadillorun.com/.
- Butt3rs, on 10/12/2007, -19/+7makes me wanna whack off!
- ayeyen, on 10/12/2007, -9/+5I don't even WANT to know why.
- BlackCow, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Yeah physics makes me a little horny to.
- nukethewhales, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Its a good game. It needs some more things to do though. Only two attractors is quite limiting.
- disillusioned, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Slighty tweaked version:

I added a force setter. I'm *horrible* at Flash, but wanted more attractors, too. Setting it to 0 lets you position them nicely.
Set it to 1,000,000 and watch what happens. Crank your process priority up to above normal, or even realtime if you're on a dual core. Download the SWF directly to render it out of browser.

- Soave, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I wish you could add more magnet things.
- tounchin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I don't know what the object of the "game" was, but i have all the dots orbiting around both of the circles. I wish there were more dots and circles. That would make it much more interesting. But it is still very cool.
- TJ09, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If you turn the platforms upside down the particles will pass through...Not like it effects much
- foolfromhell, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1This makes me wanna play Civ 4. No idea why
- subscribtion, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I feel as though if I were on drugs I would enjoy this game more. Still cool though, dugg.
- fartingbob, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Its fun to try and get all the dots in "orbit" around the circles, and seeing how far you can get them to fly around, but it gets dull after 5 minutes or so. I agree with others, give us lots more variables and options!
- solomania9, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I've posted a link to the FLA at the bottom of the animation - feel free to download it and have some fun with the code!
- OpCzar, on 10/12/2007, -7/+4What do you guys think of my creation:

Can any of you make something more spectacular?- moktoipas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2http://img108.imageshack.us/img108/2580/capture6fl8.png

- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Really cool stuff.
Has anyone else been able to trap all the particles so that no new ones come out of the "spout"?- Kamakazi15, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Yeah just make a a V shape with the paddles and move the circles around in between them and eventually they'll all stay in orbit. wasn't too difficult.
Edit: Damn got beaten to it :D
- Kamakazi15, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Yeah just make a a V shape with the paddles and move the circles around in between them and eventually they'll all stay in orbit. wasn't too difficult.
- garageboy101, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1it should be pretty easy, just get the two balls and place them our get the two platforms and make a V and then move them with the balls
- meace1234, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Pretty cool
- melonzman, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1soooooooo much better then dickrider
- iMatt711, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1amazing physics/
- HELOSMTP, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Alright, here's a five magnet, 100-ball version I coded up for real balla-ass *****.

Damn who knew digg would come in handy for a chemistry major! - jarinudom, on 03/31/2008, -0/+1If you like this, check out a game called Enigmo 2.
- disillusioned, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Double here:
http://www.lovesthreadless.com/url.php?url=attractors.html
Tweaked, to allow you to edit gravity on the attractors, and with six attractors.
In case you missed it above. - moktoipas, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1http://img108.imageshack.us/img108/2580/capture6fl8.png
