Every once in a while I would go into my room after school to find that it had escaped. I could usually find it under my bed or behind my dresser. Sometimes I would wake up in the middle of the night with it sitting on my chest. I never got used to that.

- Cloned, on 01/24/2009, -0/+35I had a tarantula for a couple of years when I was in elementary school. They're really fun to watch when they're shedding. They spin a web "mattress" and lay upside down on it and proceed to shed (a process that can take a couple days). The skin looks really lifelike if it's intact, but it crunches easily. The hairs no longer feel like hair, they like spines.
