- metapop, on 01/18/2008, -3/+225i took their advice and didn't watch the last bot fly video. i think my standard of living from this point forward will be better for it.
- explnx, on 04/27/2009, -1/+209Dude. This giant hornets are the ***** 300 in that video. Except they win.
- ursername180, on 01/18/2008, -3/+194Anyone else feel itchy and paranoid after reading that?
- theghoul, on 01/18/2008, -3/+179FTA:
"They then descend upon the beehive like an unholy plague of hell-born death engines and proceed to make this world a scary goddamned place. This is maybe 30 wasps against 30,000 bees and the 30,000 bees do not stand a chance."
Cracked has some awesome writers.. Dugg - SigmaDraconis, on 01/18/2008, -2/+170Those 30,000 bees got what they had coming. ***** teamstackers.

- kefkastudio, on 01/18/2008, -2/+133"The eggs rub off onto the human, whose body heat hatches the eggs. The larvae drop onto the skin and burrow right the ***** in. Where they live. Under your skin. Eating."
"Here's video of them removing one. DO NOT ***** WATCH THIS. *****, we don't even know why we linked it. "
God bless this author. - lowfalls, on 01/18/2008, -1/+124Bullet Ant vs. Soldier Ant
Giant Hornet vs. Africanized Killer Bees
Who would win? - sarazen, on 01/18/2008, -1/+95I knew it was gonna be a brain worm kinda day.
- lastoftheidiots, on 01/18/2008, -1/+91I was actually HOPING for that link to be a rickroll
- metapop, on 01/18/2008, -0/+81something tells me you should pitch this to fox.
- onionoino, on 01/18/2008, -1/+81wow i did not need to know about those botflies, at all. Bugs are going to win.
game over man, game over. - sweetrelease, on 01/18/2008, -2/+81AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH Why in gods name did i read that.
- trusttimothy, on 01/18/2008, -3/+81First time I am too scared to watch a video.
- inactive, on 01/18/2008, -3/+66I watched it with sound and it wasn't *near* as bad as everyone is making out.
- jacko7, on 01/18/2008, -2/+65*****, now I'm going to be sleeping in the fetal position for weeks.
- goatomatic, on 01/18/2008, -1/+61You think that's bad? Try this bot fly video!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23eimVLAQ2c - Daiken, on 01/18/2008, -1/+59I watched it and it really wasn't so bad. I don't have any sound though, so maybe that's why...
- DaleoftheUK, on 01/18/2008, -1/+59Bees get those hornets by covering themselves all around the hornet then vibrating causing heat. This then burns the hornet to death as the bees can withstand a higher temperature than the hornet. Of course in that video of the hornets, the bees got owned.
- BigLLamasHouse, on 01/18/2008, -1/+57um no way dude, ill take tapeworms over being attacked by kamikaze ninja hornets, or having a fly lay eggs in me
- LaChupacabra, on 01/18/2008, -0/+54JAPANESE BUG FIGHTS!
- ipugh, on 01/18/2008, -2/+55That's 10 quintillion for anyone who is curious..
- fzammetti, on 01/18/2008, -1/+46Tapeworms are notoriously easy to get rid of though and hence not very scary. All you need to do is this:
1. For six days, place two Oreo cookies and a glass of milk next the the victim's ass and allow the tapeworm to pop it's head out and chow down.
2. On the seventh day, conveniently "forget" the milk.
3. The tapeworm will angrily pop out the cornhole exclaiming "where the ***** is my milk, bitch?!?", at which point you can smack it over the head with a balpine hammer.
I've done it. It works, trust me. - grimdeath18, on 01/18/2008, -2/+47Bot ***** Fly! Now I can't sleep.
- chsbrgr, on 01/18/2008, -0/+44so that munching sound inside my head isn't normal?
- cbreaker, on 01/18/2008, -0/+43I'm sure you've heard of "Killer Bees" - same thing.
There's other things about them that the article doesn't mention: Normal bees only swarm and reproduce once a year. Africanized bees do it year round. If a single Africanized bee queen gets into a normal bee hive, in less than 8 days the entire nest will be Africanized.
The author incorrectly claims that they wanted bees to live in the jungle/rain forest. Actually, the scientist wanted to create a bee that would create honey all year round. It wasn't his fault the queens got loose, directly. One of his workers opened up the vents to the bee hives which let them loose.
Our normal friendly honey bees are being seriously threatened by these killer bees. It's a very bad situation and as of yet, there's nothing that can be done to stop them. We can't kill them wholesale without also killing the good bees. - hollyminkowski, on 01/18/2008, -1/+43If that ant jumped on me I bet I would shriek louder than it could.
- theokandroid, on 01/18/2008, -2/+42***** bugs. Why can;t you just be a normal ***** and chew my head off with dignity.
- JesperL, on 01/18/2008, -0/+39In the video, it's actually European Bees against Japanese Hornets. The Euro-bees had no idea what was coming.
Japanese bees, on the other hand, do that thing you mentioned. - SPRFRKR, on 01/18/2008, -0/+37I feel the same. I still haven't seen 2g1c and will avoid it at all costs. I still have the images of goatse and tubgirl burned in my retina.
- DreKor, on 01/18/2008, -1/+38It was absolutely ***** necessary to swear that many goddamn times. No matter how bad ass you think you are, those bugs will ***** your ***** up, so pay a-*****-tention.
I should write for Cracked. I think I've got the chops. - AndersenWatcher, on 01/18/2008, -39/+74#4: Vista.
- HollowMarkeD, on 01/18/2008, -1/+35agreed. I think I'm gonna spew. And it eats your brain?!
- Ellipsys, on 01/18/2008, -1/+34I've lived in Alaska. They're not particularly dangerous, but have you met our State Bird: The Alaskan Mosquito. HUGE freaking mosquito, that actually causes you to bleed when it bites. Most of the time you can see them coming - if you can't, you can hear. They sound like a lawnmower at close ranger.
- shandar, on 01/18/2008, -1/+34Where is the youtube video?
- Conwaysb0718, on 01/18/2008, -3/+34Holy *****. When the bot fly video is done, select the "Botly Larvae extracted from neck of child". You will not be disappointed.
Or just go here... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFYdgXbCZoc - pharekyz, on 01/18/2008, -0/+31LolBotFly is that you?
- noncn4mst, on 04/15/2009, -0/+29Yes.
My dog just nosed me and I just about peed my pants. - inactive, on 01/18/2008, -2/+31No.
- LemonDefragger, on 01/18/2008, -0/+28I was so sure I was about to get roll'd.
- gotterdammerung, on 01/18/2008, -0/+28I'd say the guinea worm (Dracunculus medinensis) is much more horrifying than the botfly. The female worms can be up a meter long, and emerge through ulcers on the skin; the worm is gradually wound around a stick to prevent breakage and subsequent infection. Since the worms are so long, this process can take days or weeks. Imagine having to watch as a meter-long worm slowly unfurls itself out of your skin... that dude in the botfly video had it easy.
- angrycat, on 01/18/2008, -7/+34My cat likes to eat cockroaches, they sound very crunchy.
- wankelrotary, on 01/18/2008, -0/+27If I ever encounter any of these things, I'll be firing swear words like a minigun.
- Shambla, on 01/18/2008, -3/+29"And the 5th most horrifying bug is..."
Go on... - Daiken, on 01/18/2008, -0/+26I'd have to say the giant hornets would win. They're much bigger and literally just tear into smaller bee's. Soldier ants would win too because I think it'd be hard for one ant to sting another, where as soldier ants could easily bite into another ant.
