I have occasionally given mine a wash with shallow warm water (no soap), when they get a lot of dirt on them from playing outside. I think, if he had regular baths, he would get used to it.

      • zoom1928, on 03/31/2008, -0/+2Just about anything can givel a bunny a heart attack. I saw one die when a cat jumped against the other side of a window to try to get to it. There was no way for the cat to get to the bunny, but it still died from the terror. I saw another one die after a great dane tried to chew through the chicken wire to get into the cage. The dog wasn't even acting threatening. It was just curious, but it was still enough to give the bunny a heart attack. I saw bunnies jump off of a three foot table several times in the pet store where my wife worked, but the four or so I've seen fall all died from the terror. Falling didn't hurt them. They just died from the terror of the unexpected falling.

        Another example of this are how rabbits die when an eagle grabs them. If you watch in slow motion you'll see a rabbit or mouse die from shock rather than from the minor wounds due to the claws.
