- darkixion, on 01/28/2008, -3/+15To be pedantic, "octopi" isn't a word. Rather the plural of octopus is either octpuses or octopodes.

- diggdowner, on 01/28/2008, -2/+12I'm honestly confused about how I feel. It's funny, but it's also kinda sad... but very funny, too... and yet, practically normal (in Japan at least).
- Phosphan, on 01/28/2008, -0/+9Seen something like that in Greece aswell. Not as exotic as you might think.
- omenmedia, on 01/28/2008, -2/+11Does anyone else think they look really ***** creepy? Imagine seeing that floating towards your bed in dim light. Hmmm, I sense an idea for a Japanese horror movie coming on...

- dierobots, on 01/28/2008, -3/+10i went to morocco once, and one day i ordered a hamburger at this very small hut. i watched the guy walk out and to the side of the hut where there were 3 cow carcasses surrounded by flies, and chopped off a nice big hunk of meat for me.
it was delicious. - Berkana, on 01/28/2008, -1/+7. . . if one of these crucified octopi rise from the dead after three days, perhaps.

"octopus
• noun (pl. octopuses) a mollusc with eight sucker-bearing arms, a soft body, beak-like jaws, and no internal shell.
— DERIVATIVES octopoid adjective.
— USAGE The standard plural in English of octopus is octopuses. However, since the word comes from Greek, the Greek plural form octopodes is still occasionally used. The plural form octopi, formed according to rules for Latin plurals, is incorrect.
— ORIGIN Greek, from okto ‘eight’ + pous ‘foot’." - inactive, on 01/28/2008, -2/+6the plural of octopus is actually octopodes since it has greek origin not latin
- Rotzooi, on 01/28/2008, -1/+4Nooooo!!! A plate of calamari a la romana (fried calamari rings) are delicious. And much easier to prepare without getting tough.
- edwartica, on 01/28/2008, -3/+6Everytime I go out for sushi, I have to try the octopus. I hate octopus, but I have to try it anyways. Its almost like I dare myself to try it.
- stevejobs, on 01/28/2008, -0/+3Reminds me of 'The Flood' from Halo.
- harlowsmonkeys, on 01/28/2008, -3/+6First the one, then the other, I'd guess.
- Minaki, on 01/28/2008, -0/+3Actually, it's 'Octopodes'
- omenmedia, on 01/28/2008, -0/+3Ringu was Manga?
- techmaster, on 01/28/2008, -0/+3Tako Gong.
- spider418, on 01/28/2008, -0/+3When I see an octopus I remember the Greek girl I used to work with describing how they caught octopus by hand and whacked them on the rocks. The picture of wrestling, slithering tentacles and tiny bikinis is so engraved in my head that my reaction to this picture is... uhmm... not entirely normal.
- bubba9999, on 01/28/2008, -0/+3They're trying to lull you into a false sense of security before they attack again.
- Zippo, on 01/28/2008, -0/+3Mmm, takoyaki.
- zaii7, on 01/28/2008, -6/+9dance puppet, DANCE!
- perkoff, on 01/28/2008, -0/+3When I was in the Atlantic ocean I got attacked by an Octopus so I am glad to see some of his cousins hanging out to dry.
- ochito, on 01/28/2008, -0/+3Tentacle.. Tentacle. Not Tenticle.
- darkixion, on 01/28/2008, -0/+3I actually agree. I was, like I said, being pedantic. I even understand why it is commonly pluralised as 'octopi' as it sounds right.
