I am happy to see the article provided a little more information as to the criteria they need to survive in captivity. Many crabbers, (as my daughter and I did as souvenirs from a vacationer), had no knowledge as to what they needed to survive and assumed they only lived 2-3 months. We had an emergency situation over 7 years ago and I had written to Carol, who was of great help. She also provided me with a link to Hermies Group that she is one of the owners of to seek even more information about hermie care. Carol, aka CrabWorks, has replied to thousands of concerns from hundreds of crabbers and has been a wonderful source of information. Thank you Carol for having such a loving caring heart and for dedicating so much time into sharing your knowledge.
