- allaboutdatiki, on 01/20/2008, -3/+468That's the coolest thing I've seen all day.
- dotlizard, on 01/20/2008, -3/+424"It is an important and popular fact that things are not always what they seem. For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much -- the wheel, New York, wars and so on -- whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man -- for precisely the same reasons." - Douglas Adams
sooo... now they've invented the wheel. now what? - Sornos, on 01/20/2008, -1/+265It looks like they're trying to warn us of something...
- mrgalikanookis, on 01/20/2008, -27/+281WOW! Screw Ron Paul!!! I want this dolphin to represent me!!
- RadiantBeing, on 01/20/2008, -5/+189If this isn't proof that dolphins are intelligent, I don't know what is.
- lsteve13l, on 01/20/2008, -4/+145lets see them make fire...
- geneticlemon, on 01/20/2008, -2/+128A song and dance number before they escape Earth's gravity?
- inactive, on 01/20/2008, -6/+124So long and thanks for all the fish.
- Abominable, on 01/20/2008, -33/+147Wow, it seems that even dolphins are smarter than George Bush.
- DeviateSeptum, on 01/20/2008, -8/+120That was really beautiful. Their intelligence and emotion can be felt from their playfulness. I wish more people would see this. Maybe it would cause people to be more sensitive to the slaughter and loss of habitat of other species and maybe realize that people aren't the only tenants of the planet.
- holzp, on 01/20/2008, -2/+113He is owned by Big Sardine. Check his record.
- MasterThief117, on 01/20/2008, -10/+95Dolphins are one of the smartest animals on this planet.
Also, why the ***** do you have to bring politics into this? - olddirtycr, on 01/20/2008, -13/+92What does that have to do with the wheel??
- ydt89, on 01/20/2008, -0/+78Dude the dolphins just wanna play portal.
- blazes816, on 01/20/2008, -5/+68I'm not a fan of his foreign policy.
- brynlb, on 01/20/2008, -2/+64Ehhh....I've never been a fan of the Monday editions. To much grinding, plus the boss battles are no good.
- blaze03, on 01/20/2008, -0/+59I've watched the video a few times already, and in it the dolphins:
- create bubble rings by leaping to the surface and releasing the air somehow
- create smaller rings from larger ones, sometimes successively off the same ring, by hitting it in the right spot at the right time
- spin the rings by twirling themselves around it
- swim through the rings once they're big enough
- "chomp" the smaller rings once they're done with it
I didn't even know you could make bubble rings, much less bubble rings that can somehow grow bigger. It's just ***** incredible how intelligent these creatures are. I wonder if in a few hundred years we'll be able to communicate with them in their own language.
Also, the fact that they're mammals makes me wonder where in the common ancestry they broke off to live in the water. - ricree, on 01/20/2008, -1/+58Well, I'm supposed to get version 2008.1.21 tomorrow, so I'll let you know how it goes.
- jewdiknight, on 01/20/2008, -4/+60Humanity is *****.
- MasterThief117, on 01/20/2008, -4/+54Sort of reminds me of Sonic when you hit an enemy, the rings pop out.
- undershirt, on 01/20/2008, -6/+53uh, I don't think I've ever seen anything that cool.
- trotskyist, on 01/20/2008, -3/+49Nah, George Bush is a master bubble blower. It's all he does all day.
- bbardlbradd, on 01/20/2008, -11/+56If you turn around, and look at the blindingly bright portal behind you, that's called a "door". Once you step into it, there's an entire... RPG, called "Real Life". It's free, no sign ups or anything, and you'll see some other cool things. Just don't l00t and you'll be ok.
If you have any other version than 2008.1.20, IM me. - jewdiknight, on 01/20/2008, -2/+45Don't give them ideas. That is the only weapon that we can use against them.
- Xanium4332, on 01/20/2008, -3/+41alert: fake geek detected...
- bbardlbradd, on 01/20/2008, -0/+37The most amazing part of this is watching them look at the bubbles... They are so full of wonder, it seems like something only a human would do.
- Cannon49, on 01/20/2008, -2/+37Calm down Dr. Buzzkill
- badmephisto, on 01/20/2008, -0/+34the part that is most amazing to me is that the dolphin can appreciate the beauty of the circle and show creativity. When it recreates the circle over and over, and even modifies it's shape, it's almost as if it was trying to refine it's style, and find something it likes best. Dolphins truly have some characteristics that put them apart from the other animals.
- ydt89, on 01/20/2008, -0/+33"I wonder if in a few hundred years we'll be able to communicate with them in their own language."
Not if they're all dead.
*cough*SaveTheDolphins*cough* - Whackly, on 01/20/2008, -0/+33If one whistles the star spangled banner i'm outta here.
- AntBing, on 01/20/2008, -5/+35Dolphins often hunt in groups and use the bubbles to corral the fish into a tight group. Then they each take turns darting through the fish school for an easy meal. They invented the wheel (a bubble) long before we descended from the trees.
- dasdef, on 01/20/2008, -2/+32as you said, they are several miles long. I think you sir, are the dumbass
- GreenAlien, on 01/20/2008, -0/+28Humanity is already *****. We don't need the Dolphins help with this.
- Kamael, on 01/20/2008, -0/+27So long, and thanks for all the fish!
- cbrophy78, on 01/20/2008, -0/+26Reminds me of Ecco the Dolphin
- somespecial, on 01/20/2008, -2/+28Gotta do something to pass the time
- defectDS, on 01/20/2008, -1/+27Oh wheel you cut it out!
- blaze03, on 01/20/2008, -2/+27This is ***** amazing. Dolphins are so smart.
- kingkang, on 01/20/2008, -0/+24Prepare for the coming DOLPHIN WAR, a la The Simpson's TREEHOUSE OF HORRORS XI.
- chrisbasham, on 07/22/2008, -1/+25Wheel? No. Circle? No. Its a Torus!
- Synova, on 01/20/2008, -1/+24So long, and thanks for all the fish.
- christopheles, on 01/20/2008, -0/+23No, they use telekinesis.
- thejames, on 01/20/2008, -0/+22that's....beautiful...
- Jubalicious, on 01/20/2008, -0/+22everything reminds you of goatse
- KingGorilla, on 01/21/2008, -0/+21Ok so how do we steal this bubble technology from them, reverse engineer it and use it against them?
- Coolmatt49, on 01/20/2008, -1/+21It's Ecco the Dolphin!
- nonymous666, on 01/20/2008, -0/+20The bats of the world are laughing at you.
- monospaced, on 01/20/2008, -2/+20Looks like they're entertaining us, like putting on a show. There also seem to be certain advanced bubble ring blowing techniques such as the time when the dolphin blew a ring, and then sent it rotating quickly. They have created a true artform which they practice and perfect. I'm impressed.
- bbardlbradd, on 01/20/2008, -0/+18No, if people find out about this, they will be sold as McDonald's kids meal toys.
