The mother of the cheetah cub pictured above was using the gazelle as hunting practice. - BinaryDelt, on 01/18/2008, -6/+146Probably felt bad for eating the kid's parents.
Okay, I made a joke to affirm my masculinity, but I'll admit I let out an "Awwww" on this one. - DeskFlyer, on 01/18/2008, -11/+134I think my cuteness meter just imploded.
- mille716, on 01/18/2008, -4/+123The next pic is titled "Daddy, why are you eating me?"
- nols1199, on 01/18/2008, -8/+118That is a cool photo, I always wonder what it would take to get some of these images. Patience is a virtue.
- SystematicChaos, on 01/18/2008, -5/+97It's a Tigerlope, bred for its skills in magic
- akkibaba, on 01/18/2008, -3/+72Well leopards don't have fridges, and he's not hungry right now.

- hollywoodphony, on 01/18/2008, -1/+57That's nothing. My mom's a penguin and my dad's Irish.
- skyshock1, on 01/18/2008, -1/+55OMG PONIES!!!
- Chompy, on 01/18/2008, -2/+50Obviously that cheetah is a long-term investor.
- topace3000, on 01/18/2008, -1/+47Most misleading photograph I've seen in a while.
- gummih, on 01/18/2008, -0/+34Gazelle: the original fast food
- LastDitchHero, on 01/18/2008, -2/+36I read the title and thought it was a story book telling kids how to tell their parents they are homosexual
- shyner, on 01/18/2008, -1/+33Aww...
I mean... where's my grog wench?! - blueRAP, on 01/18/2008, -4/+34gay
- BullBearMS, on 01/18/2008, -0/+28You know how cats like to play with their prey before eating them. Look how it's neck and head seem wet from being munched on a bit.
- Commonwealth, on 01/18/2008, -2/+30The cheetah is obviously just keeping the antelope's brain warm so that it's more tender when he gets around to eating it.
- gonpost, on 01/18/2008, -0/+27Cute? I have two pet cats...do you know what they do to an animal just before they are about to eat it? They normally sit very close to it, touching it, but it can still try to run if it wants. The cat always catches it again if the animal tries to run... My one cat catches rabbits, and usually sits with the rabbit resting against his chest for a few minutes before finally clamping his jaws around the rabbit's head and crushing its skull while it's still barely alive. And yes, it makes a lot of crunching noises.
The prey in that photo is obviously terrified. I don't think cute is the right adjective. - obe1kenobi, on 01/18/2008, -0/+26Interesting. Thanks for getting the full article.
- blueRAP, on 01/18/2008, -2/+27Great article.
I can't help but be disgusted by the "cuteness" of what the poster has made the picture out to be.
I think I'll quote you in the first comment's thread..to further inject reality into this post - theysayjump, on 01/18/2008, -1/+25If by "Just get back from" you mean "Using your" and by "a safari there" you mean "education there", then yeah, how did you know?
- pmctosh, on 01/18/2008, -4/+27I'm always a sucker for a good photo, this qualifies. Part of the strange but true nature shots to be sure
- genovais, on 01/18/2008, -1/+24A cheetalope!
- AsSubtleAsABrik, on 01/18/2008, -5/+28I don't think I like people who try to make there comments "diggworthy". Why not be yourself and ***** anyone who diggs you down?

- AzureRise, on 01/18/2008, -0/+20A drunk married a nun? You see something new every day.
- theysayjump, on 01/18/2008, -1/+20Cursing yourself on teh interwebs could be viewed as a sign of madness. Or you could just be trying to live up to your username.
You tell me. - Achi11es, on 01/18/2008, -2/+21kid predator
- theysayjump, on 01/18/2008, -2/+20That's a Cheetah (and a juvenile by the looks of it), not a Leopard.

- Archon810, on 01/18/2008, -0/+14Now say it with the Stewie voice.
- Niallgriff, on 01/18/2008, -1/+14The cat looks kind of sad about his impending meal...
