It seemed painless and he was very happy, even running with the other dogs despite it being pinned in 3 inches of bone. I hope this technology continues to evolve, it could help save a lot of animals from minor bone breaks (hopefully even horses . . . i.e. the Eight Belles tragedy).
- suxmonkey, on 07/22/2008, -0/+18I'm turning my chinchilla into a bionic superhero
- jasonnazar, on 07/22/2008, -2/+17whats next, is Noah getting plastic surgery on the arch?
- madrigaelic, on 07/22/2008, -1/+14Problem here is just the cost of fitting a prosthetic to an animal. Cool, but I'd rather see people in India getting clubfeet corrected and other simple, human medicine.
- wanimayuresh, on 07/22/2008, -1/+12The 9-year-old bald eagle was found in Alaska three years ago, emaciated and unable to eat because a poacher had shot off 90 percent of her upper beak, leaving her tongue and sinuses exposed.
- inactive, on 07/22/2008, -0/+11That's just simply brilliant innovation. I think the next step will be resurrection of dead pets.
- oboy, on 07/23/2008, -0/+11What about a prosthetic tail for my pet rat. He chewed his off for some reason.

- lucy22, on 07/23/2008, -0/+8Very good idea. Why let animals suffer. I believe all animals should be humanely treated.
- StevieJanowski, on 04/02/2009, -0/+7Can't wait till they start putting RFID in these things. they could have an army of animals

- Skuzzlbut, on 07/23/2008, -0/+6What about animal cosmetic surgery???
- squishee, on 07/23/2008, -0/+6It's not really a prosthetic, but there was a penguin who was going bald so biologists made him a little wetsuit to keep him warm and boost his self esteem. :D

- pirlok, on 07/23/2008, -1/+3this is quite a good joke, however, it doesn't change the fact that the dog could suffer from the after-effects..
